Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Legion has a lot of new features that i'm looking at, starting from the new artifact weapons that it seems to be a really cool thing, to the new PvP system that remind me a lot of Vanilla's system which is my favourite system ever. I'm excited for the lore, i really want to know what happens to guldan and i'm looking for the full story about Illidan (even if i wont play DH). Said that i really want to thanks Icy Veins and all the people around it for the greater work they did in this years and all the help you give us with you guide

What I'm looking forward to in Legion?

Everything.

WoD- I am in the same boat as most people.  WoD has been a let down.  There were a couple nice things...  but they really dropped the ball.  Everything I have seen for Legion has- for the most part- given me a glimmer of hope.  And all the videos I've seen lead me to hope for Wrath/MoP again.  That is to say- the two expansions I enjoyed most.

Mistweaver looks like it's going to be in a good place *FINALLY*, and with any luck, Demon Hunter Tanking will be as fun as I am imagining.

So opinion on Legion... I think that it looks like it could be an extremely good expansion, so long as there aren't so many content droughts. I'm very excited to play a Demon Hunter, and it very well could become my future main, but I am worried that it won't have enough to separate it from rogues monks and warlocks, but I suppose we'll see. All of the dungeons and raids look spectacular and hopefully the new challenge system will be enough to keep the dungeons relevant throughout the expansion.

I'm really looking forward too how artifact powers are going to play a role in the new PVP and PVE content.  Im excited to see the new abilities, and im really excited to wield a weapon that shows how powerful i am and how ive molded my character. I was about 12 years old and i was in a 40m raid for Molten Core.  We had just downed Ragnaros as a guild for the first time and my dad bought me pizza hut to celebrate

There is so much that I am looking forward to in Legion. I'm a sucker for redemption stories and am hoping that Illidan plays a key role in saving Azeroth from the Legion in the end of the expansion. After everything he has been through in his life, he deserves it. My favorite memories from Wow would be all of the hours spent with my guild, be that raid progression, pvp,or simply just hanging out in ventrilo

I'm very excided for Legion, because this time around they seem to address the problems of WoD pretty well. Honor system looks good, especially with prestige levels and I'm very happy about the change to pvp gear, so there won't be too much of a gap between player based on it. Professions seem to become relevant again and more importantly, getting a storyline.

I really love what they did with class fantasies and with the class order halls, I hope they bring back unique class quest's, like we had in vanilla. Getting your first demon/shapeshift/stance was just a really flavourful moment, I always quite enjoyed (Same thing with the green fire quest).

I'm also really looking forward to the scaling CM's and I really hope they will stay relevant througout the content.

But If I had to choose for what I'm most hyped about, it would be for the WL changes. Afflictions looks amazingly fun and I can't wait to try it out. Same thing goes for Demonology. Destro isn't out yet, but I'm in high hopes.

I'm more hyped for legion than I've been for any of the last three expansions. As an avid dungeon player I like Blizzards intention of making five man instances be relevant for more than the first couple of days of the expansion. What I'm most looking forward to though is probably that all of my friends that play WoW will be back and ready to play again. Right now it's quite lonely with just me and one other guild mate having active subscripition.Looking back, playing with my guild mates in WotLK are probably my fondest memories. Logging on after work/school and finding a ton of my friends online and ready to run dungeons or level alts while chatting over voice com and watching simpsons reruns on TV was extremely relaxing.Occationally I go back and watch our Boss kill videos from Naxx and Ulduar, just to listen to our voice com.

My favourite wow moment was this year when me and my best friend got my younger brother and his friends (all 15) into wow, we did RFC as a 5 man severely under levelled for it and after many tries we completed it. Made me feel so proud that I got my brother hooked on wow. As to that I am looking forward to the emerald dream instance, as well as being able to use the shards of frostmourne on my DK  p

I love the War of the Ancients part of WoW lore, so having a raid situated in Suramar is really exciting. My favorite memory is probably just adventuring with friends, whether that is in raids or just in the world.

Well... I don't even know where to start.

I saw a lot of streams about the beta. And Legion in gerneral. I'm really excited about the new lore content they'll add with the broken islands. The old elven races and the zones overall. And as a loyal member of the Silver Hand i'm glad they offically reasamble.

The new cast and skill animations are also a needed blessing.

:D.

Back in TBC, I was "hardcore" raider (back then it essentially meant you did any raiding beyond SSC) as enhancement shaman. It was a wild time, because enh was very melee focused and had no way to stop his threat generation, except for overaggro and ankh. And this was the most cool time I had during any expansion, with early Cata being very close. Burning Legion and demons galore - check. Enhancement is sort of going back to it's TBC roots - check. Naga threat and KJ looming at horizon - check. If everything goes right, this will be real "Back to TBC" that WoD struggled to be for me.

I'm really exited for the artifact weapon system because to me its a revival of the old talent trees. I am also interested in how the class specific legendary items are going to function in all aspects of gameplay.

One of the things that really tied me into wow, alongside my friends, was an open and active world environment. Not limited to just a single zone, such as tanaan jungle, but in regards to the entirety of the map. I'm hoping that each zone gives the player a reason to want to go there, and furthers it by giving them a reason to stay.

Well, where to begin...
I started playing this game in mists of pandaria, and writing "x spec/class guide" in google took me to Icy Veins, so the site has become a popular place for me to check, and it helped me a lot with starting up as a fresh max-level. Over the time i realized there are more detailed class-specific sites, but i always checked back to icy-veins in particular when i needed some quick advice.
This is a great site for everyone new to the game who would like to ease into the endgame, and hope you guys keep it up smile.png
My only problem/suggestion would be to keep your class guides updated more regularly and also include some cheesing mechanics to raid encounter explanations when they are available.

The most memorable thing I've done in this game to date was the downing of mythic archimonde with my guild, probably the proudest I've ever been to do something within a video game(even more than beating Dark Souls)
I'm looking forward and am very excited for Legion, hopefully bringing a lot more fun to the game than WoD in it's current state. The thing I'm most interested in is how artifact weapons and their traits would difer if at all on a casual player and a high-end raider.
Needless to say, I would recommend Icy-Veins.com to any of my friends new to the game, and also wish you guys at IV a happy 5th anniversary for the site!

(yes i know i only now have made an account for a chance at the beta, cause i'm not normally a forum person)

Very excited to explore the new lore and PvP. Vrykul lore, Tirisfal lore, old humans lore, probably troll lore, legion lore, tons of elf lore, black dragon lore, Light lore, arcane lore, fel magic lore, Azeroth lore, titan lore, tauren lore.  Like the list keeps going, as far as story goes, Blizz is really pulling out all the stops.

I'm quite excited to finally get to wield Ashbringer, been looking forward to it for a very long time. I also hope that Blizzard brings back Kara, one of the best raids IMO and some of my best memories from BC happened in that tower

I fell in love with the Shaman class very early on and have always enjoyed the adjustments and changes to the class.  Legion is providing some of the greatest changes to this class and the reworking of Maelstorm as the new resource is very cool.  I'm excited to relearn the details of this class and take on new Burning Legion with my elemental masteries.

I'm excited for a new world to explore and increased class fantasy. This expansion seems like it will do some repairs to the game, and I'm very optimistic that some sort of turnaround will occur this summer.

There are so many things in Legion I can't wait to try out, the new dungeon systems when it comes to challenge mode, pvp overhaul, artifact weapons, raids and lore quests. I'm really looking forward to the lore involved with Legion across all of the game. I'm really pleased each class has their own separate lore story and then an over-arcing story will be in the zones as usual. One of my most fondest memories was back in Wrath and it was the generally the first time ever WoW had a cut scene in a quest, and the questline itself was of such epic proportion and that is The Battle at Wrath Gate and the Battle of Undercity, both of those quests were amazing

By the looks of it, i'm going to dust off my warlock and start playing him again. The lore/story is also something I'm really looking forward to with all the emerald nightmare stuff going on as an example. And the raids look absolutely fantastic

As a long time pvper, I am looking forward to the new prestige system, even if I wonder how well that is going to work with alts. Grinding the prestige thing is going to be fun the first time, but it could become tiring if you have to grind the entire thing on every single character.Additionally my main class, paladin, is getting awesome artifacts, although I confess I am worried that sering every Ret paladin with Ashbringer might well get on my nerves quickly. I'm considering not playing that spec at all just for that

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
