Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm most looking forward to all the new changes in general. It will be like playing a new game. Also I'm excited to see how Artifact weapons will work in game.

I started playing WoW back in beta and enjoyed it throughout and up to WotLK.  I took a break shortly after Cata came out and came back this year for the end of Warlords of Draenor.  I guess I'm looking forward to all the change in store for Legion.  I anticipate that this might be one of the last WoW expansions left and would love to close out an this decade long game in style.   It's come a long way from Vanilla with some improvements and changes.  I think it's still got some runway left before it fade out though.  Hopefully Legion does not disappoint the masses

Starting the game at the end of Vanilla, I've come a long way in my grand journeys. I've fought dragons, liches, demons, boars, everything you can name. In all of these adventures one thing always mattered to me... looking good. Tansmog was always a big deal, back when there was no such thing as transmog it was all about who had the higher tier as it was a sign of "ooh boy look at them they look awesome". When they introduced the ability to look how I wanted to my life was changed forever.

Flash forward to end MOP, I  was starting to notice something...my bags were getting fuller..my void storage was busting at he seams!! I had accumulated so much transmog that I no longer had room for all the sweet looking gear I had acquired over the years! Alas. I started to vendor my beloved mogs, starting with pieces I found I just couldn't match any more. I was left with only a handful of sets...

Skip ahead to the Legion announcement. Wait...what was that...a TRANSMOG SYSTEM!! All my gear would be in a nice fancy tab where I could scan and design for days! I was heartbroken...until they said that ALL THE GEAR I ACQUIRED WAS SAVED! All of my amazing loot and gear would be retroactively given to me, even all the pieces from quests that I don't even remember!

This will forever change my gameplay, I will be the best looking panda in all the land, if only I can get a beta key so that I can lock myself in the dressing room.

I'm looking forward to the revamped leveling/zone system. I can't wait to decided what zone to be in at what level I currently am at. Also to see how the newly established lore from Chronicles fits into the story of Legion. All in all I think this will be a great expansion and can't wait to play

The artifacts are my fuel to play the game on live. I almost have 7 characters on 100 just because of the artifacts but iam concerned about the ability pruning thats happening in legion

Really looking forward to rerolling, although I don't know what class yet.  Also really excited for the new zones, especially Stormheim

I'm looking forward to a great many things coming up In Legion. I've played a Warlock for many years and the last exciting thing involving that particular class, and the Legion, was the Green fire quest before Warlords. Least wise, since the mount quests were removed.

I miss a lot of the old aspects of the game, but I really think that Legion is going to introduce many that will change the game for the better. The Wardrobe, Class Halls, and Artifact weapons... All of it looks amazing to me.

I am really excited for pretty much everything. The new class, the new talents, the artifacts, the scaling leveling system (which I hope they extend over the older zones as well).

I really enjoyed mop, and my biggest moment was the night my guild took down Garrosh Hellscream on mythic. In Legion i'm looking forward to the new raids and the new demon hunter class

I'm waiting to try those new dungeons that imo look really well done and seem mechanically fun to do. The lore, after reading Chronicles, got my attention, and I really want to know what will happen in the expansion. Just hope that the game will have great post launch content

I'm super excited to try the new demonology spec as its previous incarnation was so boring and I'm really happy that blizzard is trying to diversify the specs even if it makes the game more janky. Part of the game that I loved was how even when things were failing spectacularly it was still fun and I was sad that that left with WOD, I just hope legion can reintroduce the rash of content that expansions before WOD had

The part of Legion I'm most looking forward to is the new Lore.  What's going to happen to many of the characters we've come to know and love? What about the Titans and their Pillars of Creation, especially given everything we learned from Chronicles.  And where does Illidan fit into all this? Besides the lore, I'm also really looking forward to the new zones and their scaling leveling.  All of them look incredible so far from what we've seen, and I can't wait to be able to do them in whatever order I want.  Should make leveling alts a lot less boring

I'm looking forward to a lot in Legion, but some of the biggest things are finally getting to wield the Ashbringer on my Retribution Paladin, which I've been wanting to do ever since the first time I saw someone with the Corrupted Ashbringer back in Vanilla, and started hearing rumors about an upcoming quest to find and purify the legendary blade.  I also can't wait for the new transmog system, so I can finally be able to hoard something else in my massive inventory other than every piece of cool looking gear I've ever looted.

My fondest memory in WoW has to be back when I joined a group on my Warrior for the Scarlet Monastery, and witnessed our Protection Paladin tank totally wreck the place practically by himself while the rest of us looked on in awe.  That was the moment I realized how epic Paladins actually were when done right, and I immediately rolled a new Paladin....and ten years later, I still love playing them, and will always use my first one as my main.

Hey got really into PvP for the first time from googling your guide sites, glad to know your giving away some keys. WOD was the first expansion that got me into this game so I've never been apart of a beta experience.

I'm definitely looking forward to the beautiful new dungeons and raids. In the 8 years I've spent playing WoW raiding and dungeons have been my favorite part of it all. Downing bosses for the first time and learning new mechanics alongside friends and guild mates are memories I will always cherish. I'll never forget the laughs shared as we tell jokes and stories while clearing trash before having to get back into it when we hit a boss whether normal or heroic my friends always knew how to integrate comedy into our weekly raiding. I can't wait to see what Emerald Nightmare and Suramar Palace have in store, as well as the dungeons. Halls of Valor looks amazing and Maw of Souls looks extremely interesting. So I'm most looking forward to the new dungeons and raids

Very excited about the changes for blood dks. Love seeing heart strike back and find the new rotation much more intriguing and fun compared to how boring it is on live. Most excited for mage changes as it is my main. Hope to see frost rotation still be fun even without frostfirebolt and the change to I using frozen orb more often. Love the animations I've seen so far in alpha of fire and frost mages. Looking forward to a great expansion

My favourite part from the game and from the past is the great friends I've made and that we play together, also I play with my husband and its fun fun fun. I remember the great times we had raiding icecrown citadel back in the day, it was great good luck to everyone and to me

I'm really interested in testing out some of the new class changes with special interest in Spriests not having shadow form anymore and shamans and the changes their resource used to cast. Very much looking forward to trying several new classes as the current class I'm playing didn't look as interesting as some of the others with the new changes.

Sidenote: Hoping they scrap garrison 2.0 in favor of an actual player housing system. Just my personal desire....but I wish they'd implement an abandoned planet accessed by portals where we could build our own houses and guild halls and have dungeons drop materials and decor....would be cool imo, but ahh well I digress.

Also really looking forward to the new raids. I really enjoyed the raids in WoD although I wish there was another one coming out before Legion, but looking forward to more awesomely designed fights!!!

I am really looking forward to Legion and the possible showing of Kil'jaeden as a possible last boss. I also am looking forward to finally ending Gul'dan and i am hyped for the fight. Been playing WoW since BC and "growing up" during a demon era with Sunwell and BT. WoW has always been my on and off game, but i could not be more hyped for legion and its class and overall changes. My favourite WoW moment has to be my recent kill of Mythic Archimonde and the banter my guild provides

I am most looking forward to class changes. I enjoy seeing the new talents and redesigns that happen and keep gameplay interesting. The thing that stands out for me this time is, http://www. I think the whole plan sounds pretty great and should keep interest further into the expansion than we typically see.   Just look at how cool Felo'melorn looks, who can pass this up. The lore history is also super interesting, it's names we all recognize with an exciting story to follow it up. If there's one thing blizzard does well, it's tell a great story.  (i suppose the staff of the dragonheart is also ok. but only ok)

I've been playing wow as a tank since cata and I have all tank classes at 100. So I'm looking forward to check out new talents and differences for tank specs and decide what class I will play in Legion as my main. Also I want to try out demon hunter

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
