Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I am waiting for class halls and class quest (including the artifact ones). I was playing paladin in Vanilla and really enjoyed all the class quests there, especially one to get charger. I think Blizzard should promote more class uniqueness and it makes more interesting to play different classes without getting bored. I am really obsessed with transmog and collecting lots of old sets, recolored items and already run out of space. This new feature is a very big quality of live improvement

I can not wait for all the awesome new content and the continuation of the lore for this game. I am very interested in how the transmog system will be changed. :3

I'm really excited for Dalaran. Just running around, listening to the music.I'm also looking forward to the demon hunters. They look so amazing and the best part about this.

I look forward to a more exciting Retribution Paladin (I haven't necessarily been enjoying the WoD one, but Legion shows great promise :D) as well as finally playing the Demon Hunter, Illidan is one of my favorite WoW characters of all time as a past WC3 player, my favourite campaign was the Blood Elf frozen throne campaign and pretty much anything else involving Illidan.
Looking forward to joining the Illidari in the Beta! ^_^

The thing I'm most looking forward to is exploring the new areas, but I'm very excited to see all of the changes to the classes. I always like to think of the changes to classes as our characters refining their abilities as a result of the latest adventure. Somethings work, while others do not. While I miss some of the old ways, dual wielding Blood DK dps, I like what I have seen of Legion so far. I keep up with information about class changes as often as I can, but until I can step foot into the new zones I avoid looking at anything about them or the dungeons. The awe factor of exploring new zones, I didn't get it much in WoD, but I remember exploring Jade Forest in Pandaria for the first time. Questing through Jade Forest the first time was such an amazing experience, going through that zone on other characters was like taking a pleasant stroll down memory lane. With a new expansion on the horizon, I'm waiting eagerly for that first step into a new area

I'm looking forward to the class revamps and the interaction with the artifact. People always complain when things are changed but it provides an opportunity to freshen up the rotation of your favorite class and to make other classes interesting. I'm one of those who will probably not be playing my current class in Legion because I dislike the changes (Death Knight) but I'm really looking forward to the way enhancement, ele, and balance play in Legion. My favorite memory is my first Rag kill in Vanilla. It was my first big raid experience and so very satisfying. Hooked me on raiding for the next decade and still going strong

Hello there. That is a tough question, but I guess I could say that my best answer would be: "Change". I am excited to see what they are revamping, editing, and improving on as the expansion is tailored out.     I am really excited for the art as well, Blizzard does a great job at making their games easy to immerse into, and the new fighting models and forms are a good indicator that improvement is on its way. With updated druid models, transmog system, and detailed brand new lore, they will not fail to impress.     I would love to give some feedback on the changes, and my own point of view on the bits and pieces of the expansion, and just enjoy the new land, new lore characters, and a whole new-yet-familiar game of World of Warcraft. Hence why I am here. Thank you.^

I have fond memories of the Benedictus quest from Vanilla. The idea of having a long quest chain to obtain a highly sought after weapon began many many years ago. One of the most memorable weapons many people know of. It was some one-handed sword covered in lightning. What's that??. Did somebody say Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker? I love how they have continued to expand on that idea in each expansion. I like that they are returning to class specific legendaries that also incorporate in more lore than ever before. Keep up the good work Bliz.

I always read and hear people saying something like "Oh, back in my time World of Warcraft used to be a better game, these expansions nowadays sucks", but I do not agree with them at all. I've been playing the warcraft games since Warcraft III and  everytime I watch WoD trailer, my heart fills with nostalgia from the warcraft cinematic that it makes reference, so I really like WoD and I think it was worth it. The thing that forges most of the hype inside of me is the lore that is coming with Legion, I really wanna know what's gonna happen with Varian, Sylvanas, Illidan and everything else. Walking around Pandaria and hearing the pandaren people thanking me for saving their lives, while listening to pandarian music is a moment I always cry in this game, MoP is my favorite expansion and I'm proud of it's people for enduring such danger and still talk about food, drink and friends when you talk to them, I love to bear the Farmer title, it reminds me the time I was happy farming at the valley of the four winds.

And for you Icy Veins, I leave my thanks from the deep of my heart for bringing for us a lot of useful posts that helped so much, Congratulations!

I'm actually REALLY hyped for Legion.  I feel like things have been going WAY downhill over the years since Cata, and while I still enjoy aspects of the game, I'm definitely not playing daily like I used to.  If anything, I've fallen into maybe once or twice a month.  Seeing all the new things in Legion and seeing how they hired a larger team gives me a lot of hope that this will be the expansion to get things back on track.  The biggest thing I'm looking forward to is the class halls and weapons.  I've been waiting for something to make my classes feel more unique and interesting.  Here's hoping I get a chance to try it out before release

Can't wait to get in to beta hopefully to see if I want to switch mains after 7 years of being an elemental shaman. Its getting sort of stale but I want to see if the new expansion breathes any new life into the class for me before making any decisions

The new feature I am looking forward to the most is the artifact weapons and how they will affect a character's progression in the game itself.  Having played WoW since vanilla, I have a great many fond memories, but one of the fondest would be the day I rolled my first toon, a male night elf hunter, and started exploring the world of Azeroth. To date I have been fortunate enough to play most of the betas at least in some small part since Burning Crusades. I enjoy letting my guild mates know what is happening and what they can look forward to, hopefully I will be able to this time as well.

There are a few things I'm looking forward to in legion. First of all is the prospect that PvP will finally be able to be balanced more independently from PvE. Second is the outfit system which will clear up my bag/bank space. One thing that I'm apprehensive about is further ability pruning, hopefully it results in just quality of life improvements as they intend and doesn't serve to lower the skill cap even more. On another note love the somewhat new layout of the site guys at icy veins, it's much more intuitive.

Awesome birthday giveaway Icy Veins.  I'm definitely looking forward to Ashbringer, I REALLY hope it will be voiced like it was in the past and that we could have lots and lots of quests about its story and lore. I also have good hope it will actually turn undead into ashes considering fire mage artifact already has an animation turning enemies to ashes  My favorite Warcraft moment? I think it was when we first killed Lady Vashj with my TBC guild, it was just so exciting, killing such an important Warcraft hero (remember The Frozen Throne boys ). Let's hope Blizzard will give us just as much awesomeness as they did back in TBC

I can't wait to play Legion, been getting as many characters to level 100 so I can decide who to focus on. I'm currently leaning towards rogue but might be playing a priest.

To me, Legion seems to be Blizzard's attempt to breathe life into a game that has become stagnant.  Artifacts, animations, PvP, class changes (overhauls), demon hunters, and of course lore.  I'm pretty pumped for all of it.  Artifacts hopefully will make everyone feel as if they bring something useful to every encounter. But honestly when I first seen Arthas and Frostmourne in the cinematic for WotLK, it gave me goosebumps.  Still does, in fact. That entire expansion was a visual treat.  Playing Death Knights raised by the Lich King himself, was pretty awesome. Northrend too was a well thought out area.  Nordic culture with an eventual steampunk twist.  I know everyone to some degree remembers Ulduar - I loved that place.  Tears of joy and pain.  And lets not forget Icecrown.  That fateful encounter actually felt personal to me.  Blizzard had officially won me over with it all.  To date, my favorite part of WoW so far.

I have wanted to wield The Ashbringer since vanilla, and now with Legion my dream will be realized, but this time Blizz has made everything look so appealing I think I am equally excited to wield The Silver Hand. I am very excited with the direction Blizz is taking holy paladins.{Arkeren}

Hey there guys - Looking forward to the new Shadowpriest-Gameplay as well as the Transmog-System. Been playing WoW for quiet some time now and I have to admit, I play it because it is terribly addictive and I love those bossdances - and learning them is somewhat relaxing to me.

Btw, happy birthday, thank you for supplying me with a lot of info on different classes from time to time :)

I really can't wait to try out the Demon Hunter class. I really think Blizzard have learnt a lot of lessons from the implementation of the Monk class and Death Knight Hero Class.

I'm a 10 year wow veteran who used to raid heroic difficult and top tier content through TBC + WOTLK + Cataclysm. MOP i went casual and warlords i've been casual too - but in Legion i will return in my full glory to smash mythic raiding.

Im looking forward to the new animations and ui tweaks that are coming with Legion the most, its a much needed new coat of paint. A new expansion really does bring back some memories every time it happens, believe it not the launches and long queues are a little thing I look forward to - its time me and my friends get together and spend time gaming. It would be better without, but I make the best of it and its nice to spend time with my friends like that

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
