Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I’m not into wow lore or story, I ‘m the guy that skips all the cinematics and never read’s any of the quests. What got me hooked are the Numbers. Love crunching combat numbers and play styles. I can’t count how many hours I have spent with Simulationcraft and WoW. I’m really looking forward to the new combat system. I have played all the classes excited to revisit some of the classed I have hated on.

I'm really excited for...well almost everything in Legion! I've been keeping up to date with all the news about it and I'm so glad that Legion might get me back into my true passion in this game, pvp.

I am looking forward to the changes that are being done to Warlocks. A Demonology overhaul along with changes to Affliction. The PvP changes and how the Artifacts will play into the game. Have been away from the game for 9 months, but have recently come back looking for a guild to play with and experience what I hope will reinvigorate me to play like the good old days of TBC.

Artefact Weapons! can't wait to wield Ashbringer! Would love to get into beta so I have time to read all the quest texts and take my time instead of rushing through it all like I will be at the start of the expansion.

I'm really excited for the new PVP system, goodbye grinding honor points. A 2nd thing I'm digging, as simple as it is, is a freaking spider mount.

Legion is the expansion that's made me excited to play WoW again. I haven't played really since Cataclysm, and just came back recently because I want to be ready for Legion. I really like the look of how my favourite classes are shaping up in Cataclysm (Paladin, Priest, Warlock) - It's more the feel and aesthetic of them, they seem really cool and fun, Discipline for instance seems like it's going to be a tonne of fun.

I'm also really curious to see if we will fight Sargeras in Legion. I've been a fan of Warcraft since WC2, and so the potential for some great storyline involving - what I think, is the best plotline in the Warcraft univsere has me really excited for Legion.

I don't really care so much for Demon Hunters or Illidan returning yet again, but there's many other cool things coming in this expansion. I also really want to see if I can find any areas that are similar to the Warcraft 3 maps of the same name, but I suspect not unfortunately - it was always cool when playing in vanilla to see some where you vaguely recognised like Ashenvale.

This is incredibly awesome of you guys to do this, and I wish good luck to all who enter the giveaway. I'm incredibly excited for Legion, as it brings along changes to the PvP system, some new playstyles for my favorite class, Mage, and we finally get to finish off Gul'dan

I am very excited to explore this new land, as a newer player to WOW (only been playing for about a year now) I have thoroughly enjoyed searching for all the hidden easter eggs in the game. I love how with this game there is always something else to conquer, even players who I chat with who have been playing for years still have things they have yet to complete. One of my favorite things is how complex some of the achievements are, there are soo many different ones and the vastly different types are impressive. Its a well made game for people who enjoy getting lost in a new world and going on different adventures with friends. In the new expansion I look forward to the new transmog updates. That has always been a fun part of the game, searching for that one piece of TIER armor or looking for that certain weapon and then hoping the WOW gods are on your side and you roll a high number. All in all the new expansion will be a time when old and new players alike are all reset to a race to explore and discover it first. Also a side note, this website is AWESOME and helps players like me explore and understand this game very well so thank you for that

I am looking forward to this next expac. I can't wait to play the new demon hunter class. I kind of lost interest in the game when warlords came out so hopefully this will get me back into the game.

I am excited for the next chapter in the World of Warcraft story. I have never loved a game so much or its contents. I enjoy the people, the game-play, and the atmosphere. The thing I am looking forward to most is to see what blizzard does with all the classes and advancements they have made.

My favorite moment in wow was defeating Archimond by far. I had worked hard to be better at the game and when I got a mount and achievement I was ecstatic.

I think the thing I'm most looking forward to is the lore. As a massive lore nerd, I can't wait to see what direction they take Illidan and how they deal, in game, with the retconning of lore they've done in Chronicles. There's going to be potentially tonnes of awesome lore moments with everything going on in the Alliance and Horde, as well as other characters they've said maybe making appearances. --- My favourite moment in WoW, without a doubt, has to be the first time I ever killed Lei Shen normal in Throne of Thunder. It was the first time ever I raided with a proper guild group, and some of the people I raided with are my friends to this day. Not much in WoW has come close to the exhilarating feeling of downing your first ever proper raid boss

I'm most excited for the upcoming changes to my favorite classes. Holy words for holy priests, survival hunter, and demonology warlock. One of my fondest memories is completing the benediction quest on my priest. It took so much work to get it done, help from friends was necessary, but when it was done I had this unique item of incredible power. The cloak in MoP and the ring this expansion had a similar feel but felt more gated by timing (can only get x per week) and rng played a major factor in how fast the requisites were obtained. Trading direct effort for patience and luck isn't necessarily my strong suit.

Going into Legion, I'm really excited about being able to play the new demo rebuild, as well as affliction. Really hoping to see the destruction mastery changed so I can experience the cool new talents that it has to offer. Also, really hoping to give assassination and sub a go with the new builds they will be receiving, such as their higher aoe potential. Really excited to bring my dk back out of the dark as well and put him into action. Hoping that these class halls will be a cool place to hang out, and that the new way of leveling matches the experience that Draenor questing held for us. And as always, ready to see the challenging fights that await us in the upcoming raids.

I'm looking forward mostly to the Shadow Priest insanity mechanics, loving the idea of going mental then trying to stay insane as long as possible.  Hoping to see improvements and more interesting things coming out of crafting too, especially for Engineering, which aside from mounts and pets has become a little dull

Looking Forward To:Getting back to the WoW lore we love. Not that Draenor wasn't a decent story, but It's time to go back to mashing the burning legion. Fondest Memory:The Friendships

The thing that I look forward to the most in legion is being able to play with all the new tweaks and character changes that are coming. I love playing with new talents and exploring how they can be optimized. And like past expansions I can't wait to see the new dungeons and raids.

The changes to Fire Mage and Balance Druid are looking extremely fun and I can't wait to try them out. My best moment in WoW was when I got my first character up to level 80

I've been visiting IV on and off since MoP iirc because it's always had the best guides available. (they're easy to read and follow as well) My only complaint is that they don't have enough macros but hey you can't have it all :D

As for my fondest WoW memory, well that's got to be the day WotLK launched when I ditched my undead rogue for a death knight and spent the rest of the day leveling him up with my friend. Fun times.

Anyway, I too am really excited for Legion and I hope it makes the game fun and interesting again cause it hasn't been that way since 5.2 at least...

cheers

In legion i am most looking forward to the major class overhauls which will give players a fresh experience.

My favourite moments in WoW would have to be progressing through karazhan with my guild back in burning crusade.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
