Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

For the first time, there were significant changes in the class and I can take them from the start. As I have not ALFA PTR , I get a little frustrated not to be learning now. I also have great expectations for the Legion , hoping (as always) that the class be competitive with all other melees.

For Legion, I think I'm most excited about the artifact system. I like my alts and getting all the artifacts and experiencing all the lore for each spec just sounds so great.

One of my favorite memories is completing the green fire quest for my lock. I farmed all day to get the book and ~20 attempts got it down. Completing it, at what I considered gear level (sub 500), was a great feeling.

I'm not sure if Legion is going to save World Of Warcraft or not, but I, as a longtime hardcore player am looking forward to it very much. The new gear, the new dungeons, it all reminds me of being a child on Christmas Eve and being so excited for the next day that I couldn't wait. Hurry up Blizz...I'm dying here...lol

Super exicted for legion, so much lore stuff, the return of Illidan, xavius somehow being alive,  traveling into the emerald nightmare, learning more about the Titans through the pillars of creation, its great stuff blizzard are making.just lorewise this expansion looks amazing. I started playing wow back in BC, played a Fire/arcane mage, sucked at leveling, always enjoyed dungeons more, fun part was finding a party in trade chat and then getting to the dungeon. My favorite moment in the entire game though, was finally killing the lich king on normal mode and seeing the ending cinematic. Im also looking forward to raiding the new content with the guild im in

I am looking forward to the Wardrobe the most. I love to collect different looks for my character and it would be nice to have more inventory space. Especially because of Tabards.

One of my favourite moments from the past was the first time I ever leveled in The Burning Crusade. I thought it was really cool and was a change from the slog that was vanilla. Plus that dang fel reaver!

In Legion I'm most looking forward to demon hunters.  I've been looking forward to being able to play one since TBC!  I enjoyed the social aspect of the game in TBC and the difficulty of the heroics back then, and wish those aspects of the game would return.

I've always loved WoW, ever since the first time I sat down to play it. That- was back in Wrath, and despite most people jumping on the "this game is dead" bandwagon, I have always supported the game, and I will continue to do such. As far as Legion goes? Hell, I'm pumped. The zones look amazing, and so do all the class changed. I've been eager to play the new changes myself-- as I simply can't decide who I'm going to main for the starting duration of Legion

I'm extremely looking forward to leveling a Demon Hunter. I have been playing for the last 11 years and I am grateful that I have been able to have such a rock solid foundation for my gameplay in the World of Warcraft. Throughout many ups and downs in my life from the age of 14 to the age of 25, Warcraft has always been there for me. I am very hopeful to get a beta key.

Looking particularly forward to Artifact Weapons and the lore. Never really been this hyped for an expansion before because I joined in Wod  I think my fondest memory was when I was running around on my starter edition level 20 pandaren monk, I really wanted to explore everything so I casually boarded the ship to Northrend to go and explore (Not knowing what was to come.) I got off the ship from Valiance Keep and swum south finding the Kvaldir at Riplash Ruins, at this moment I realised how stupid I was going to a zone that meant I could barely do anything, so naturally I swum underneath and around Riplash Ruins when I came across a hole. I followed it up and it led to a cave, while I was expecting more Kvaldir there was none, I came to a pearl on some sort of stone podium in the centre of the room. Behind it were some bones and there I saw a White Murloc Egg. I then got my first battle-pet (I didn't even know they existed before this. You can still get him I think, but I have been using Terky for ages. I liked feeling cool while walking through Stormwind with my murloc, then again anything with a murloc looks cool in my opinon. But yeah, that was my fondest memory because I remember getting it when it was still a rarity. Still got him to this day and hopefully in the future. Let's hope no exceedingly cool battle-pets show up that will make me want to replace Terky

It would be a nice Birthday present too since my birthday is on march 29th. I'm just happy that you give some people a possibility to play Legion when they can't afford it, etc, etc. Well lastly i discovered WoW once again for me. After a long period of not playing im stunned by all the new features and i will surely be when entering Legion. I hope that Legion will shut the mouths of all the "rip WoW" flamers wich come up everytime after a new addon is released

I'm super stoked about the new wardrobe, the artifact weapons, and being able to play the classes with all of their updated abilities. I'm hoping to have one of every dps spec so I can try them all out and see how much they've changed and come up with some new playstyles. I also can't wait to learn about all of the new characters and plots, and what they plan to do with some of our old favorites

I am most excited for the new dungeons and exploring the new world... I am a fan of leveling and having that sense of adventure, being able to get my own artifact weapon and building it up to be super powerful is a great aspect as well. I think Legion is going to be very exciting in all aspects.

I am looking forwards to the upcoming changes for my Hunters. I have always enjoyed playing a hunter. I am looking forward to the new challenges for my hunter. I have always been a big lore person. I am looking forward to the new lore following this xpac. I am also looking forward to the new wardrobe and tabard system. It will really clean up my bag space, bank and void storage

I am most excited about all the class changes, most specifically the balance druid changes.  I have disliked the proc reliant version of balance spec as I am very unlucky with shooting stars procs.

Why do I look  forward to Legion? Let me count the ways.

Seriously, this will sound screwy to some but I really enjoy (I did say enjoy) grinding to level up.  It's a hard target I can work towards, quests aren't quite the same but are just as good in their own right. I love the new content, all the new quests, items, gear with new looks - I am hoping there are more new mob models this time around but I'll take whatever they can dish out.

I am also really jazzed about the demon hunter.  As a long long term Diablo player - demon hunter has been a favorite for a long time.  I still get into my Diablo and then some - right now I'm on a little binge in D3.  Looking forward to that cross over to WoW (there have been many references to Diablo and many other things that I love seeing pop up).

I used to do a lot of beta testing before work got in the way, now that I don't have to work, I would really love to do it again, I have lots and lots and lots of time. I like finding things that don't work so I can get the info to the right people who can make it all work by launch.

The one thing Blizzard does really, really well, is ferret out so many of the bugs before they release their games or expansions (across the board, all their games, not just WoW or Diablo).  I have been a WoW player since launch so many years ago now, (another lifetime maybe?) and I still love the game.  The graphics, colors and all the eye candy along with the mechanics and everything that goes into making the game, keep me coming back and will for a long time.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
