Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I personally am really looking forward to the class revamps that are coming in Legion. My fondest moment in WoW would probably have to be when a couple of friends helped me grind out a few more wins in 3v3 arena to get the kodo mount for my Shaman

There is no other game that caught my attention this much lore wise. I used to raid a lot in past expansions but now i am more about just enjoying the environment and of course the lore. I actually like WoD as an expansion even though many people complain about the alternate universe. I however really liked the fact that blizz brought back the warlords so we could see them in wow, not only in the warcraft RTS.Legion in my opinion is going to be amazing, the history that comes with the new zones and raids is really good. The new zones look beautiful and i really look forward to quest and explore the new zones. And of course the new moonkin form model is going to be nice, blizzard finally heard our calls. I am really looking forward to this game, and to have the opportunity to help testing the game in beta would be wonderful

I can't wait to see how the artifact weapons affect all types of gameplay, both pve and pvp. I main an arc mage and cant wait to see what legion brings to the table. I am excited to try out the new savant mastery for the arc mage, I think it has potential to improve both arena viability and damage potential.

It will be mine.  Oh yes, it will be mine.  Honestly, the story of WoW is what keeps me coming back and although WoD failed in a lot of places, the story whilst levelling was pretty darn amazing.  If they can keep that going with Legion, along with bringing back class quests (which is amazing.) then at the very least I'll have a great time up to level 110.  My hope is that endgame is engaging and brings more story with it.  I really enjoyed MoP, maybe one of the few people that did, mostly because of the way the storyline was continued.  My happiest memories of WoW are probably when it was still new to most people.  Although I didn't start playing properly until the end of BC/beginning of Wrath, I played on and off all the way back in Vanilla.  Back then the starting zones were full of people who didn't have a clue and were discovering the game for the first time.  Real sense of community it was, helping people out with quests, running into people in the middle of nowhere and happily chatting to them.  I'll never forget my first toon on Alliance (because I didn't know any better ), a bunch of level 60 Hordies coming in slaughtering all the NPC's around Auberdine then standing around mocking all us lowbies.  We thought we'd be clever and formulated a strategy to turn on PvP then zerg rush them because hey, we might have been only level 10 but there were 20 of us and like, 2 of them.  Power in numbers, right? It did not go well for us  I think that might have been the first time I learned about 'kek'.

I'm most looking forward to the leveling experience through legion. That is my fondest memory, leveling my first character. Seeing all the zones for the first time and encountering characters I knew from the Warcraft RTS. Can't wait to dive into the new story

For me, I'll most of all enjoy all of the changes being made to the classes and getting to try out all of the cool new abilities with updated animations added. I like the fact that the talents will have more varied choices, and rather than one row of talents for a spec being optimal it seems more that all of them are viable if used correctly and have equal potential. In my view that was solo content done correctly, and I would love to see a return of it in WoW

I am excited for the lore Legion will bring to the game. I can remember back when the boat from Darkshore went to Menethil Harbor. Back when I was a level 14 I wanted to go to Ironforge with a friend of mine. So we took the boat from Darkshore to the Wetlands (a level 30 something area at the time). We had planned on running to IF. I always run first and my friend was a Hunter. I remember her Typing "Prannet noooooooooo" She had seen on her minimap my poor dot agro all of the red dots (representing the Wetlands gators) in the vicinity. The alligators swarmed on me as she ran unharmed by. A memory I look back on and laugh about. a corpse drag that is.

1st things 1st: Happy Bday Icy-Veins. Can't say I've been with you guys from the start but in the last couple of years you have been my top, actually, solo choice for Blizzard games intel, specially WoW, Diablo 3 and HS. What WoW means to me? Well, I've been with Blizzard ever since Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, yup I'm an oldie Blizzard geek, so to me WoW is pretty much the holy grail of video games. It sky rocketed my english skills (I'm Portuguese) besides keeping it in shape. I made good real life friendships throughout Europe thanks to it (Hey guildies ), tbh now that I'm writting here I realize it's amazing how a game can have such an impact on a person's life on a daily basis. I'm also a lot in to lore, I'm that one guy that stops to read the quest texts (I must be pretty famous in Blizzard ). WotLK was amazing, WoD was actually so much close to it but tbh I think Legion will dethrone WotLK. My main will be a Demon Hunter for sure and I'll make sure I'll drink all that lore as I lvl it up  If I'll be one of the last dinging 110? Probably but I wouln't have it any other way Keep up with the awsome work guys

The thing I'm most excited for Legion is a toss up between the changes being made to Balance Druids and the new class Demon Hunter. I've been longing to play a new and exciting melee spec/class. I'm also completely sick of the sliding eclipse bar that Balance has right now and I cannot wait for Blizzard to get rid of it in Legion.

My favorite time in game has to be raiding High Maul with my friends. The raid altogether was okay, but it was the first time I was able to raid with a majority of real life friends. This made it a complete blast to raid that I looked forward to throughout the week and the best time that I have had playing WoW in a very long time.

I'm looking forward to demon hunters, but i gotta say emerald nightmare takes my favorite feature. With so many lore filled bosses, i just can't wait. For my favorite moment in wow, its gotta go to when me and my buddy was playing arenas, i was rooted and he was about to kill the healer, said "i got this" and flying serpent kicked across the room. the healer got back to full and we lost. but we had a damn good laugh

Really looking forward to seeing all the hard work that the art department at Blizzard have put in. From what i have seen so far this expansion looks beautiful. Also can't wait for all the new animations. As far as my fondest WoW memory i would have to say it was a combination of reading the "Arthas" novel and falling in love with the Lich King story. Reading the book and playing Wrath was a fantastic experience, the zones, storytelling and raids were why a game such as WoW can catch your imagination and keep you coming back for more

I personally looking forward to the new challenge doungen system. Yes artefact weapons are a nice feature and from what i have seen, the new continent looks awesome. But I love slaying some bosses and with this system, even with only a hand full of people, you can achieve something. That is really nice and brings back some old memories

I'm a BC expansión lover and I followed nearly the changes in legion.I like the new talent system and I like the new PVP system. A lot of BC lovers (for me, the Golden Age of World of Warcraft) will return and I hope the community will be like it was in that exp. Illidan again? Well if we have a raid like BT, it will be OK

Well, the days of the keys have come yet again. I remember the sweet days of pre-wod, fighting my way to gain the key to the beta. Multiple sites have held the contests and the sense of dreadfulness when losing filled across the community. After many tries I indeed gotten my hands on a wod key, and I tried my best to help and make the end product better, with the little I could do. (Some would say I failed, heh)What I want to try the most is most likely the new demon hunter class, and all the revamps that many specs for classes have gotten. I am also very excited about the new options given by the wardrobe feature and well, it's gonna give me something to do while I impatiently wait for the release of the game.Whether I get this or not, I hope those who will indeed get in take their efforts into trying to make this expansion something great.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
