Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

All the new stuff in legion looks great - the PvP system; all the new zones and of course the artifact weapons, but honestly I'm really looking forward to the new transmog system. It should make everything so much easier and definitely fill up some of my bank space!

Well i'm pretty much hyped about every aspect of legion but what i'm most hyped about the artifact weapons and the new pvp system. Not only does the artifact weapons look amazing but it also gives me something more to aim for and give me a reason to do almost every aspect of the game and be rewarded for it. And i'm really happy that blizzard starts to focus a lot on class identity with the class halls and artifacts. And the new pvp system seems brilliant with pvp specific talents that will probably balance pvp a lot and the fact that you can prestige and earn mounts, artifact power and skins etc is great.I started playing in early bc and I still remember how hyped I was when I was going to Outland. But my best feeling has to be when me and my guild killed heroic lich king. I still remember the amazing feeling since my guild had been wiping on the lich king for weeks

I can't really decide which aspect of Legion I'm most looking forward to between all the different artifacts, the class order halls or Demon Hunters finally being a playable class. I started playing in the lull between Cataclysm and MoP so I never got any of the early legendaries, but I loved the expansion long quest for the legendary cloak in MoP especially the first time I completed the Celestial challenge on my mage

I am really looking forward to the new artifact system, it looks unique and like it was a good idea. my only issue is that I hope wow doesn't become like diablo with the new legendary items that are being added I think it has the potential to cause overkill with so many legendary items. Hopefully the monks changes work out, so that finally ww monks can be consistently top dps in single target fights and not just on cleave fights. Icy-veins is my go to site for anything to do with wow and the guides always answer any questions I might have about classes or how to play certain specs

IMHO, Legion's lookin' like the bomb. Mistweaver is looking like exactly what I want out of a healer. PvP talents are looking dope too. Honestly I've had the most fun leveling and queueing BGs with my friends.

I really enjoy the lore of the game and just hope they don't make silly decisions in the story again like they did in Warlords. A lot of the new zones look really cool and the new scaling system for the zones will make leveling alts much more enjoyable than just barreling through the same zones again. Although I'm not ecstatic on all of the new changes to the classes (RIP Metamorph on DemoLocks) I like how they are trying to make them all feel more special and individual. As for my favourite moment, probably finally defeating the Lich King and the different character speeches you get when you finish the shadowmourne questline

This is awesome, ever since they released bgs and especially skirmrishes I've been wishing to get an invite to try out the new revamped shadow priest with the new artifact that I think is one of the best ones. I also can't wait to try out the prestige system and all its awesome additions to the game. I feel like it'll make even normal bgs very fun to play. I'm very excited for the new dh class aswell, it looks really cool and welldesigned. Congratulations to you, icy-veins, for being an active wow site for all this time. I remember my first time visiting to get some tips for my warlock and the information provided really helped me out and probably still helps a lot of new players and veterans. Thank you and good luck in future expansions.

Hope to see you guys releasing good guides for Legion. I'm excited for my change, one of our tanks is retiring and I'll be taking his place. I hope tanks will be enjoyable in the next expansion

I'm most hype about the Talent changes and the Artifacts and their traits, since I'm always looking for interesting ways to change the gameplay around. The Broken Isles are looking great too, especially Stormheim, since I really love the Val'kyr/Vrykul and the Forsaken. I also want to see how the new world drop Legendaries will affect the Meta and Gameplay in general, since most of them have really interesting effects on them

I don't see why this so much hate about wod, i actually like it, the garrison thing, where you can be the boss, those follower missions, i want to see these in legion, and i hope we will finally have gul'dan as a raid boss or something...

I'm looking forward to the revamped Demonology Warlock (as well as the Warlock class as a whole) and the new Demon Hunter class.  My fondest memory was shortly after I had began WoW

Really looking forward to the artifact system and the new PVP system. Been enjoying this game on and off since starting back in 2007ish. What I miss the most is the sense of community within the game, especially with the introduction of Garrisons. I hope that Legion will bring back that sense of community instead of sitting in Garrisons queuing for things.  The new PVP system should be a nice way to keep PVP fresh by doing the "prestige" type unlocks.

I can't wait to see more of elven lore and get my hands on my demon hunter, finally. I've played WoW for about 2 years from now, but that was enough to get me sucked into this amazing universe and (im)patiently wait for every news about it ^^"

I am most immediately looking forward to the freed up bag space that the new transmog system provides followed by the new pvp reward track/ leveling system. My most fond memory in WoW is probably killing the Lich King for the first time with friends.

Looking forward to seeing (and fighting) my favourite character Xavius as well as the continuation of the story in the Stormrage novel.

As for fondest wow memory, getting my first heroic boss kill back in MoP. It was awesome!

What am I looking forward to? Gnome Survival hunters. If only the artifact was dual wield instead of a 2H. but there's always the next expansion. What have enjoyed the most about the past? I've enjoyed. I've done tanking and dps in raids since vanilla (except BWL/AQ40/Naxx40/BC 25 mans, but it was fun.), experimented a bit with healing in BC (it was just a phase - chain heal all the things.), and have been raiding with the same core group of people since Karazhan and met up with some of them at the Blizzcons I've been able to go to. So really, it's the friends I've made that keep me coming back. We may have to pound our heads against bosses - but to (mis)quote - "They ain't heavy, they're my friends."

I'm really excited about new class mechanics. Disc and atonement healing looks absolutely awesome, challenging and full of different gameplay options. The world and dungeons of Legion seem top notch and I'm eager to give them a go too

Demon Hunters are without a doubt the biggest draw for me. I'm excited to learn this new class, as excited as I was when I made my first Death Knight, which is now my main.

Speaking of, the class changes seem neat across the board, and it might make me pick up a shaman or druid because those changes seem great. I think Legion might be just what WoW needs to pick itself up after WoD.

And even if it isn't, at least we got Demon Hunters.

I'm looking forward to the Legion expansion. I'm particularly excited about exploring the Lore and quest lines with my friends who share a love of the world created in the Warcraft universe. It's always such a joy playing with friends.  I remember back when the hunter ability 'disengage' could be used outside of combat, and by extension I also remember the approximate time when it was made so that it could no longer be used outside of combat. Consequently, I have a very amusing memory of my friend, who rolled a hunter at the time, jumping off of a cliff to "show me this cool ability that would let shoot back onto the cliff she had jumped off of". She died, and that was the day she too learned that disengage could no longer be used outside of battle

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
