Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I think the new Combustion combined with the other changes to the spec and secondary stats will change that.  Being a somewhat newer player to the game my best memory is probably from when I leveled an alt and wanted to get some low level transmog and had to make my way without flying to Eastern Plaguelands from Stormwind. Since I've never fully experienced those areas before I was baffled by how amazing the zones were

I'm really looking forward to the artifact weapons. I feel like it make me more motivated to try out other classes/specs. I love the lore surrounding the Sargeras/ the titans/old gods, and it seems like this expansion will include them

Apart from the usual things like new content and new class, what really gets to me is the attention to detail and each class they've given this time around.

The new melee animations are incredible along with all the new sound effects. All the new spell effects for both melee and casters are also very nice and better than anything they ever did up until now. The class Halls and Artifact weapons finally give more lore and story to each class and spec. All these really polish up the classes and how they feel both in game while playing them and in the story and it's something which I wanted to see changed for a while now. Thank you Blizzard, I'm a happy man.

I'm really looking forward to playing Demon Hunter - I enjoyed WoD but the lack of a new class release made it seem like it was missing something. Also the new class hall revamps should add some of the old class uniqueness that they have been slowly removing, however the across the board ability pruning is a worrying trend

You guys were there for me after EJ forums kinda died.  I should've joined long before today, but know that I've appreciated you guys all 5 years. Also, I'm looking forward to just about everything in Legion, but mostly more Sylvanas.

I've played every expansion as a healer or ranged dps, but this expac I'm gong to try raiding as melee, and I'm pretty excited to see where Demon Hunter is headed mechanics wise. I enjoy the idea of the glaive skills and fel magic involved with the rotation, and I'm pretty excited to be fel rushing around boss rooms dealing with high movement fights.   I'm hoping Challenge modes bring back some of the difficulty I'm looking for in smaller content, the proving grounds is fun for solo play, but id really like to try and have myself and friends push higher challenge mode keystones. Hopefully we get that same sense of accomplishment as we get when we down progression bosses after hours of fine tuning our strategy. Unlocking unique skins for our artifacts is an exciting reward, there's nothing better than looking great in WoW.    One of my most fond memories as a WoW raider was achieving the Immortal title from Wrath Naxx. After having spent weeks previously attempting to keep so many people alive, and calling out every simple mechanic so no one was caught unaware, it finally happened. All the stars aligned and no one made any silly mess ups, it was wonderful. I remember our raid leader yelling at one of our melee dps for almost forgetting the Heigan dance, scary stuff

Can't wait for the wardrobe so I can actually do something that requires me to loot items again. Bag space has slowly become a problem as the transmog items have started populating my actualy bags.

I really looking forward about legions are the class houses and weapons artifacts, probably this will be the best thing in WoW Legion. The lore development about the Queen Azshara will be awesome, can't wait for it !!!

Can't wait for Legion, because I am already bored of Draenor and I would like to explore the storyline. Also I'm interested if Blizzard adds Vulkan API or DX12 in the engine.

Excited for the Demon Hunter mostly

I'm also really hoping that they maintain the momentum of the last expansion in terms of content as I was inspired to start playing again after a several year hiatus.

All of the dungeons (bar violet hold) look amazing. I think the main point that i'm looking forward to the most though is the idea of the class halls. Making me want to try out every class just as extra to explore. I love how each class has now been thought through and made it individualised. Tad unsure whether to go PvE or PvP route seeing as they finally have differences. I think the artifacts could add a new depth to the game but class halls yet again, do hope that they will be the main hub for Legion.  Counting down the days until September (fingers crossed).

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
