Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward in legion in general. Especially now that WOD lacked so much content compared to previous expansions. The thing i'm looking forward the most are the changes Blizzard is bringing to the classes and ofcourse the new class Demon Hunter :D

The fact that Blizzard is going back to its roots for legion is making me interested to play again. I have never been a fan of PvP but questing and dungeons are my most fond memories of this game. I can't wait for the nostalgia trip of fighting Illidan again and all the new achievements I will be able to get. Best moments of playing WoW have to be stepping through that portal in the blasted lands and seeing the huge siege weapons and battle before me and having a random player donate me a mount after discovering you had to buy a license to fly first XD.

I'm really looking forward to the new class Demon Hunter! Finally, it's been a long wait! I am also looking forward to the artifact weapons, I can finally wield The Ashbringer! All in all, I think Legion will be a step forward and not backwards for WoW! Really looking forward to it!

I personally am super excited for Legion!

Legion is the first expansion since WOTLK that has really caught my eye and I'm breath-taken by the already stunning looking art that has been teased!

I'm most looking forward to the revamped dungeon system, I loved dungeon grinding in wrath and the scaling loot/difficulty system sounds like a fantastic way for guilds that can't quite keep a steady raid-roster to have a shot at some difficult content in a 5 man environment! (Oh and who isn't excited for the artifact weapon system!, The models look fantastic for all of the weapons!)

My fondest memory in WoW is the very first time I played the game, I made a night elf hunter and was gobsmacked by the size of the world, the level of customization (For the time anyways!) and the beautiful forest home of the night elves, the immersion quickly blew me away and had kept me interested ever since.

As a long term WoW player minus my initial experience my favorite moment was probably the fall of the Lich king cinematic, the music track is incredible and a fitting end for an enemy I've been interested in since WC3!

This game has been by go-to game for years and I hope Legion continues to draw me into it!

I'd love to get into the beta and get my teeth into helping shape the expansion as best I can!

I'm really excited for almost everything in Legion, but the thing I'm looking most forward to, is the new PvP Honor System.

It just looks like a really nice system, and especially for those who want to do more than just farm Honor points, Conquest points or ratings all the time, because of the prestige levels in the new system.

I started playing WoW in Vanilla, but I first started to play more seriously in WOTLK. I fell in love with arena, and started to arena with my friends all the time. Even though I wasn't good, it was a great method to make the time fly.

Im really looking forward to the next expansion, it feels like this is gonna turn out good. The expansion released while I have been playing (Mop and WoD) never felt like something I really had to play. I do not know if it is the excitement of the old feeling with Illidan and a new cool class or if Im just really bored playing other games outside World of Warcraft.

ANYWAY

I have only experienced World of Warcraft Cataclysm,Pandaria and Draenor on retail servers and so far my experience have been really great, mostly because of playing with friends but also for the game itself.

I really appreciate a well made game with lots of things to do and with a really nice lore.

My personally best memory from this game has to be when me and a few friends danced naked in Stormwind for Gold, I mean, That horse mount ain\t gonna pay itself.

Lore wise I'm really excited for Legion,I mean there hasn't been a burning legion full on invasion of Azeroth since the orcs invaded Azeroth. I am looking forward to see how much destruction is caused and how all the various characters cope with it. I am also looking forward to the continuation of Slyvanas's storyline, especially with the rumours that Alleria will be making a return :D And lets not forget the artifact weapons, at first I was a bit iffy about them but now I feel it would be cool wielding the Ashbringer or the shards of frostmourne :D in conclusion I'm just really looking forward to all the new lore haha

I'm really looking forward to the new zones, raids and ofc demon hunters. The new transmog system looks really nice too and saves a lot of bagspace!

Downing endbosses like the Lich King is the most fun i've had in the past.

I'm really stoked for Legion, and there is so much I'm looking forward to. The artifact weapons look incredible, in terms of design and individual story/lore. I can't wait to play every single one of my characters and get their weapons, and become completely immersed in the stories and the journey to complete the artifact. the Maw of Souls, it's freaking Helheim, and the boat of the dead. Violet Hold looks darker, more sinister even if it's almost the same dungeon from Wotlk. Vault of the Wardens is an incredible way to take us back to lore from the time of the Demon Hunters and Maiev and Illidan. I won't go on and on about every dungeon, but I definitely foresee myself taking so many screenshots in those dungeons. Questing looks like loads of fun from what I've seen via streamers, really immersive lore and all the zones look spectacular. I'm really amped for professions, including fishing -- which I've always loved (was the first person in my guild to get that 100 fish WoD achievment), but it just looks so much more interesting. I am a HUGE fan of transmog so the ability to store all the looks that I collect is going to be amazing, especially with each armour class so I won't have to farm a set from ICC on my death knight if I already have it on my paladin. And we'll finally have more space in our bags and our banks because it won't be filled to the brim with transmog. Being a hoarder across every single one of my characters, I welcome the ability to get space back cause then I can fill it up with other things. I am a staunch PVE'er and have been for all of my time in WoW, but with the arrival of Legion, I'm actually planning to get involved in PvP. So far, PvP has been a horrible experience for me and now I won't go near it with a ten foot pole, but I will be getting involved when Legion arrives. I'm willing to give it another chance with all of the changes that Blizz is bringing in. As for memories in WoW, there are so many wonderful ones. One of my best ones was obtaining the legendary caster staff in Cataclysm, after helping countless others to get it. Another one was leaving a guild with an absolutely horrible environment and ending up in the right guild, where I still am today. I met my best friend in WoW, he and I have been friends for almost 8 years. He and I two manned the Heartbreaker achievement at lvl 85, in quest blues, before the legacy system was implemented. It was a great feeling when we downed it

I'm really excited for Legion as it's almost an overhaul to the game(gameplay wise). As a mid-TBC player myself, I'm looking forward to new stuff. I really miss WoW being actually hard to play (vanilla, tbcm wotlk) and when it wasn't that simple, but it will always have a special place in my heart and I will always play it.

Thanks icy-veins for providing me with valuable tips about the game all these years and thanks for the chance with this competition!

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
