Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Game was pretty awful after Cataclysm came, WoD was fun, but i think this game will make up for all the lost years. Look forward to playing the new legion class, and the artifacts will change the game quite a bit!

Being able to tank in demon form as warlock in pandaria, give me a warm feeling that i can finnaly enjoy playing demon hunter tank with awesome weapons. God bless there will be a second OP tanks rather than dk's, because lack of movement speed is killing me. Pity that Beta is not so 'open' as for Draenor or Pandaria, being able to try 1-shotting people as healers in pvp is priceless.

Thank you very much Icy Veins for all these years of service. From d3 builds to wow class guides and transmog database, you've been quite useful for many of us. Now I feel bad about creating an account just for a beta key.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to participate in PvP Prestige system. Me and four other friends are already making plans to storm battlegrounds already!

I started playing in late WotLK (in 3rd progrees LK group, whats more we managed to kill him as 1st :D) and game really was fun for those few years of playing, up to WoD. My main was paladin (started as holy but played as prot most time), only in MoP I rerolled for BrM Monk. I can say that time was my gaming peak in WoW, I knew my class and tried to be best, not to mention my raiding guild was pretty hardcore and we were only Alliance bastion on Burning Legion EU that was able to compete with Horde in progress.
But in WoD (at least for me) all fun factor dissapeard, game became dull and so my playstyle..
I hope Legion will bring back my interest in WoW . I can't wait to check changes in classes, DH, artefacts sounds pretty neat also.

I look forward to demon hunters, i've always been hooked on new classes both in wow and diablo :P. but i'm also looking forward for the new pvp system which sounds quit interresting.

For what i enjoyed most in the past is by far raiding Tempest Keep and the Black Temple (and ofc the release of death knights and monks :D)

The last few years might have been a bit on the downside for WoW but I believe that Blizzard had something in mind for Legion and the next expansions(however many will there be) with respect to every part of the game(mostly lore and storywise I would say). As for Legion itself I think that the developers are trying their best to restore the vibrant and exciting nature of the game aswell as help it evolve in ever new ways through game systems, graphical and technical improvements and astonishing diversity of all the aspects that make up a game. Also I think they have mastered the art of surprising players in pleasent ways wether through dynamic and shocking developements or the long-term anticipated events. One is certain Legion looks very promising and I believe with all my heart that it will be a true honor to play it with my friends from and out of Azeroth!

I've been playing WoW since early vanilla and I've always been a big fan of the PvP side of the game, I'm looking forward to seeing the PvP prestige system and all the new abilities and class changes. I think blizzard are going in the right direction and I hope that it can bring a lot of new players and attract the old ones to resubscribe, the best thing about WoW will always be the huge community and any time they make a change that will increase the amount of active players is a good thing in my book

I honestly can't wait for Legion. I want to try out the Demon Hunter so much, and also can not wait for the Windwalker monk buffs that they have put in place (WW Monk is main class) would love to get hold of a Beta key so I can try this stuff out!

If I'm quite honest, one of the most enjoyable things for me on WoW was completing the Leeroy achievement in WoD. Unlocking the follower in the weeks after WoD's launch, when it was still difficult, was singlehandedly one of the most enjoyable and rewarding moments of the expansion for me. But also getting back into guild raiding, clearing Archimonde before he opened in LFR, was a hugely satisfying moment. I've not cleared all content since TBC, and it was great fun getting back into the swing of things.

I play a ret paladin, so as you can expect, I'm mostly looking forward to Ashbringer, and class halls. The scaling is long overdue, but on behalf of my lesser half, who is CONSTANTLY moaning about having no inventory space (she hoards amulets, trinkets and every 'nice looking' skin she can find), I can't wait for the wardrobe. She'll legitimately free up thousands of inventory slots and I'll be able to sleep at night.

Hm, I'm looking forward to explore the new world, I adore the scenery already. Crendor showed us a nice exploration vid, now I wish to look around myself. Also the quests and lore! In the past I enjoyed this too, also maybe silly, but I love gathering ores and herbs. So relaxing to fly around (or just use the ground mounts).

Things I've enjoyed- I actually recently enjoyed my first taste of semi-progression over multiple months in HFC, before the guild broke up. It was rather exciting and left me wanting more! Too bad we've got to wait for Legion.

Playing a Death Knight- despite spending many years ignorant of the class's core workings, I've always enjoyed the fantasy of the Death Knight, and it has been my first character to max every expansion.

And, as to what I'm looking forward to in Legion, I'm looking forward to tanking as a Demon Hunter in a guild of friends as a dedicated tank, leveling through the new zones, finding new transmog sets, and the new Wardrobe feature.

Sadly, judging by changes I'm seeing to Blood (and the fact that I'm going to be a guild tank), I'm going to likely reroll to a Demon Hunter, abandoning my class of almost 8 years.

(Edit)

My opinion on Legion is that, executed properly, it could become the breath of life that WoW needs to sustain itself for some time.

As for what I have thought of WoW, despite many disappointments over the past few years from each expansion, I still enjoy playing and look forward to each adventure, new or old.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
