Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I have perceived the world of Azeroth with the help of the lore writers. I have witnessed history unfold beneath my very own eyes in the first days of World of Warcraft. I fought the Legion countless times when the Burning Crusade was the latest expansion available.

... unfortunately, I lost that taste a long time ago. Ever since new expansions came out the scar that Burning Crusade left of Azeroth was not the pulsing anymore. Everyday activities left their mark on me and I did not have the luxury of time I once had.

I once more feel that urge to step in and claim victory. I once more crave to go head-first into hordes of demons. Once more I want to witness history, not just through the imagination that reading the books require, but seeing on the screen that same old place once again.

As a mage I desire nothing more than to pursue the legacy of Aegwynn and Khadgar, to get my very own artifact weapon and to banish the hordes of hellish nightmares back to the Twisting Nether.

What can I say I am buzzing for demon hunters I've been a warrior for years loving the mobility so when o saw demon hunters I was sold instantly.

In the past my favourite moment had to be the first time we downed the Lich king it was legendary

I'm really excited about the new spells and abilities Shadow Priests will be getting in Legion.
Shadowfury'ish stun would be awesome.. too bad there's only daggers for SP when it comes to Artifact weapons though..

What i surely will miss after all this time and so on will be the old Talent tree system for every class.
It was the bomb, spending time with your mate testing out a new build to have more fun with.

Well, I can't wait to see how Legion actually gonna be.. I just hope Holinka didn't screw up any more of the pvp aspect.. I mean.. (Pinnacle of balance) is what he called the pvp system and adjusted pvp in current expansion..
I'd rather say that before BG's and arenas came a long in this game, that time had much better pvp balance than we currently have and there were zero balance.

But anyways, I'm not here to complain.. so I'll let it go and wait for Legion to see how this will really end.

My guild and i just got M Archimonde down 4 weeks ago and it's been a huge achievement for us as a guild, with all the struggle of quitters along our way. So what i'm mostly looking forward to in Legion is to have new adventures with my guildies and make more memorable moments

Im really looking foward to changes to elemental shamman, its been my main since burning crusade. We used to be op when in raids but have been in my opinion nerfed quite a bit compared to other casting classes. Hopefully new changes will make us a good pick for proggression raiding. even though I like garrisons I always like the way to farm resources and adventure out into world to do things and not sit in one spot.

Im totatally looking for the Artifact weapons, especially the Ashbringer, even though my main is not a paladin. Ashbringer is the best looking weapon with an amazing plot. I always loved the atmosphare, which the game still provides after more than 10 years!

I'm really excited for the new PvP system with prestige, aswell with how they redesigned feral druid to the good old bleeds again.

The fact that they've taken out PvP gear seems ridiculous, but it does step up the skill level in fights, and removes the endless grind.

I'm looking forward to the new PvP honour talents and the PvP stat sheet everyone is automatically given upon entering an instanced PvP zone. It will make it much more fun playing alts and even playing late into the seasons.

In the past I enjoyed the World PvP, even in WoD early in the levelling the WPvP was actually good until max level was reached, when a lot of the world got emptied into the Garrisons. The likes of Hellfire Peninsula's PvP objectives are still pretty active to this day, often used as a battleground for max levels too.

On the PvE side of things, the new artifact system will give us a good reason to do content that most people otherwise probably wouldn't think of trying, to unlock various skins or to simply gain more [artifact] power.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
