Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

What I'm looking forward to in Legion the most is trying out specs for all classes, to see which one fits my play style the most.  I've been looking for a reason to switch main characters, and the class overhauls may just give me the reason to do that.  I'm also looking forward to the questing experience.  Warlords had phenomenal questing, and provided a great background for endgame content.

Hi. the thing i look most forward to is it all, im gonna love the new designs on the animals, and other mobs aswell. And then im lokking forward to leveling up a melee hunter, and try all of the new specs. And like almost everyone else of course the Demon hunter. And my favourite memory, i actually have 2 they are

1: the first time i got my mount, it was back in vanilla, i was playing night elf druid, and i remember dying walking around in Tanaris, iwth no clue on what to do. So i finally got my mount but i wasnt before level 46 or so hehe :D Good times.

2: And the second memory is when i killed the lich king. It was me and my guild(wich were, my mom, my dad, my brother and some friends) We wiped awfully many times, almost giving up. But then we decided to just do one last try, and we did it. I was so proud, and thats a thing i will always emember :D Good day to you, great to meet ya! HAHA :D

I'm most excited for the multiple changes that seem to be pointing in the direction of a game that is easier to balance. The artifact talent trees, honor talent trees and the changes to the standard talent trees all seem to provide for a system that allows for a lot of fine-tuning from Blizzard to keep PvP and PvE balanced throughout the expansion. The second most exciting change coming in legion for me is the reestablishment of class and spec identity. In some cases Blizzard may have "over pruned," but I think ensuring each spec has its own specific niche and role will lead to much more engaging game play in both PvP and PvE. Aside from the core game play changes, the transmog changes are easily the feature I look forward to the most

I am really looking forward to this expansion! The artifact system seems really cool and i really like the honor talent system that you are introducing aswell. But i would like the 40man raids returned to their former glory like you did with the molten core event wher you got the Corehound. I also liked the old pvp like alterac valley where you combined pvp and pve in 40man so there would be some mixed action.

I am very excited for the new expansion, but mostly the new wardrobe system, which is suuuuuper helpful for transmogging.

I also really like the idea of class order halls, I think it will make us feel more connected to the classes we play, and maybe bring people more together socially.

I have never been much of a pvp', but the new system there seems interesting, color me intrigued Blizzard. Well done!

As a moonkin player, I'm most looking forward to the skill the changes are bringing to the class. I started playing WoW in Warlords, and I am excited to see what they change / add / remove in Legion and how it impacts WoW moving forward. I've been a part of a few guilds in the past year, and I have thoroughly been enjoying the raiding environment and the encounters in general. I'm pumped to see what they do, and I'm excited to play Legion

I think the biggest things that I am excited to play in Legion are the following: Exploring the new world. This is always one of my favorite and more memorable experiences in a new expansion. It's always good to take the time and really appreciate how much hard work the artists put into the game. Getting out of the Garrison and being back in open world type interactions with people is something that we had in MOP but not as much in WOD.Playing ALL of the classes and seeing the different changes that were implemented for PVE. As a raider, I'm very excited to get my hands on each class and experimenting with the changes to see what works well.Watching the lore of the story unfold as we play through.Raiding in the Emerald Nightmare with my wife and friends.Hope to see a glimmer of Wrathion and his future involvement in the story (Maybe another side story? I HOPE.)

I cant wait for the new talents.

I've been waiting for ever to really feel like being a Fire mage.

I have been a mage ever since TBC, and this is finally happening!

Since I started playing recently (after the release of WoD), I am actually very excited since this is going to be an expansion I will be able to dive deeper into the lore ( through leveling)  as well as experience all of the aspects of the game (PvP, PvE) since the release of Legion is going to bring the revival of the community and more people are going to play the game.

Legion will mark the 11th year I have been playing WoW. Aside from the things I've been looking at for the xpac, class revamps, dungeons, raids, content, quests, professions. The overall Lore of the xpac is what I am excited about. Just the fact of guessing what is to come next in this xpac has me all full of goosebumps. We finally get our answer to the Emerald Dream with the Emerald Nightmare. Azshara Raid? Old God Raid? (dare I even say) Troll Raid. What is happening to the Horde, where is Vol'jin?? How is Alliance handling the loss of Varian?? I've always been a fan of the Lore of Warcraft and being able to go toe to toe with some of the biggest bads in the game is what keeps me playing. So I guess to sum up my answer. I'm looking forward to the raids.but more about what they will involve because as of now the fate of the whole World (of Warcraft) is up in the air, and I'll leave my trust in the story tellers of Blizzard to keep my attention pulled. They've been doing a good job so far.

I was never this hyped before for any expansion. Legion has implemented some fundamental changes, along side the other routine set of tweaks that we see most expansions or patches. I am talking about the animation and user interface interactions!

To me playing a character should be rewarding in the basic sense, no matter how tiny the details might compare to the bigger picture. We have always QQ'd about bosses, mechanics, class changes, PvP, mounts etc etc the list goes on and this is never gonna stop for as long as human beings are not cloned! We will always have our differences, and ideas of what is entertaining and whats straight out preposterous.

But when the fundamental game play changes, like what legion has done here, every second of what seems like millennia of wow play time becomes a lot more rewarding and positive. We get less pissed off by small factors as we tend to enjoy the bright side of things.

That said, I CANT WAIT TO ENJOY MY FURY WARRIOR. The changes are smashing and the clinks and sparks flying of the tip of your weapon makes you feel ever so stronger! And of course the amazing zones and new PvP system all add to the excitement! The mighty artefact weapons are a work of art and I find it really hard to wait so long for legion to arrive!

I still remember the first time I ever stepped into ICC and I could feel my bones chill from its cold beauty. This to me was the most beautiful moment and I still cherish it by doing transmog runs! Absolutely loved that expansion and raid.

I hope legion revives the wow player base to its full glory and I am sure Icy Veins will keep up their impeccable contribution to the community! Thanks lads!

Wow so what's most exciting in Legion if you ask me? Well everything! But if I'm going to pick something out of the awsomness to come i'd say it's the story/lore to continue. I mean it's probably the best thing every if you're really into it! But other then that I'm looking forward to see wrathion again ;) and just to see and learn how the Demon Hunters are going to work and all of the other classes. So what has been good in the past? Well, what I'm really looking forward that Legion is bringing back is class identity, I just remember back in the old vanilla days where you really could see if the person was a warlock just by how cool he looked and so on and I really hope that will return to the game! Can't wait for the expansion, It's already pre-purchased and ready to go when ever the launch is comming <3.

I am mostly hyped about the updated spell animations for all classes. Seeing how fun they actually made spells now, it is going to be worth waiting for.

I had good times with my friends on wotlk. We were exploring azeroth with our ground mounts. Our gear was week but with our friendship we could overcome difficulties. We were enjoying the game. Sadly they quit the game. I really miss them ;(

Blizz pls make legion interesting for casuals so my friends will come back and we will enjoy the game together like old days.

I have wanted to play a demon hunter ever since I helped a guildie back in vanilla with that crazy hunter quest in Un'goro Crater. Now granted that wasn't an actual demon hunter, but it put the idea in my head of wanting to be one. I will say after watching as many videos as I can over the last few months of Alpha game play, its really hard to say what class I'll want to go with. The changes that Blizzard has made to classes look like so much fun to play and to me, makes all the classes feel brand new.I'm excited to see how the artifact weapons play out, and checking out the new models. Finally get some answers I think on gaps in lore that we have had. Legion has me excited about WoW again, but at the same time, I feel like many others.  If this expansion falls apart like WoD did, I probably won't hang around anymore

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
