Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

World of Warcraft is my favourite game. I spent a lot of time in it and i am very glad to see that Blizzard still updates it. Legion is probably my favourite expansion after wotlk because of it's lore and changes in the game.

I'm really interested in the artifact weapons, the Druid weapons in particular as it gives even more customization and cool ways to stand out in a game that has 6 million players. It will also give me motivation to level alts to see their specific artifact weapon quest lines, class halls and upgrade options.

I'm really looking forward to trying out some of the drastically changed specs.  My main right now is a rogue and I know I'm not going to continue that. I do wish they had added some more specs or changed some specs from melee to ranged to offset the amount of melee in the game, but hopefully it won't be a problem.

I am a bit skeptical regarding the legion expansion features. I will most certainly devote my fair deal of time exploring the New era, beta key or not, yet I am still undecided about the lore-wise effect of WoD's time/universe travel.

That being said, regarding the new features I am especially intrigued by the artifact weapons; I always wanted to wield the Doomhammer after all. But I hope that this feature does not halt the joy of hunting new weapons.

Moreover, I extremely like the new pvp feature, and can't wait to try it out for myself. It is not often for pvp-ers to get so much attention, the notion that pvp-Ing will not have a sole purpose of arena ranking is highly intriguing to me.

Overall, this expansion has not yet won me over, but I keep my mind open,I will have just to wait and see, yet it is impressive how blizzard keeps expanding on their existing features to keep the spark alive!

Hey Guys,

I have to say what I most look forward to at the moment is the new transmog system. It's a real struggle running around with a full bank and about 2-3 free inventory spaces.

In the past I did enjoy that the game felt a little more complex than nowadays... I might be subjective here, but I liked the illusion of a choice with the old talent trees or the few abilities you used once in a blue moon but had them occupying your taskbar anyway.

From what I read at the moment my current spec (Blood DK) feels rather strange... but so does the DH tank... really not sure what to play once Legion hits live... therefore I'd really appreciate a key to try both specs on beta and see what best fits my playstyle,,,

The new PVP system sounds nice, too. Artifacts are a little underwhelming and most models/colors don't match my taste, but that's what transmogging is for, right?

Also, I can't wait to finally see some new content and start progressing once again :-)

I'm looking forward to playing the Demon Hunter class. It seems to be everything I'm looking for. I value mobility a lot, I'm currently playing a feral druid. However it seems like in Legion DH is going to be the king of mobility which is awesome. :)
I pre-purchased legion just to be able to play the class a little bit earlier.

As for my alt, mage looks incredible as well. Especially fire. I can't wait to try that out as well.

I am Looking forward to the transmog wardrobe feature. So easy and convenient. Also the new demon Hunter class will be fun. Another thing I want to try out is the ability to swap specs to any of them not just the two.

Well the DKs are my passion so I guess artifact series for Death Knights is the thing I look foward to! biggrin.png

And the thing I did enjoy in the past.. well it was the original talent tree! I just love how U could make every class a little bit of everything! biggrin.png

Anyways thank U guys for these 5 wonderful years! :P Icy Veins has been my go-to page every time I needed help with my DK wub.png

What i am most excited for in the upcoming Legion Expansion is the new content that it brings. The new zones, raids, dungeons and overall experience! I'm missing something new and exciting and i'm sure that this expansion will be able to deliver that. Besides it really looks like Blizzard has really gotten into detail and listen to what the players wanted, and i feel like that is gonna bring a lot of people back and also add some more excitement to the game.

In the past i've always really enjoyed the expansion Wrath of the Lich King. Defiantly my favourite expansion, it was so well done and perfectly made that its gonna be hard to beat, and i don't expect Legion to beat it, but i'm positive for the new expansion and hoping that it will be almost as good and potentially better if Blizzard keeps up the good work.

I am a bit worried by all the ability pruning, but still really looking forward to try the new PVP Leveling system. I am also really hoping that they are keeping their word about "making dungeons a real alternative to raids"

Cannot wait for the warrior animations. I've been playing just under a year and love my warrior but the new arms animations are gonna take him to a new level.

Also interested in the prestige mounts to go with my dark transmog.

Everyone here is hyped about Legion itself but I'm just waiting to jump the chance to rebuild my UI and start making WeakAuras for my main (DH) and primary alt (Monk/DK).  I also promised myself to go minimalistic this time around (like every time

I've seen a lot of twitch streams and youtube videos about the new expansion. I'm allways checking various resource websites cause they provide pictures and information of what is newly added to the game. With all that said, I think that what is mostly exciting for me in legion will be to play monk mistweaver as i've seen, the changes to the class are reaaally cool. They kept what was cool, added some new abilities which I think will make the class way more fun that it is now.

I hope they don't screw up DKs, I really enjoyed playing as a DK throughout Warlords, I haven't seen interesting stuff on DKs in Legion yet (other than a 2nd grip which i think it's an interesting choise, but will remain to be tested).

Related to what artifact I'm really sight to get my hands on will be the "Ashbringer"(like everyone else) and "Felo'melorn", as I like the lore behind them. I've actually made the effort in leveling a lot of alts and I'll have all classes ready for Legion and explore the content on all of them, but what I'm mostly looking forward to is what I've presented above.

I am also Really! looking forward to clean my bags with the new tmog system.

I've heard that the Challenge Mode Gold weapons will be made available on all my classes (via a token purchase) if I completed them on at least 1 class, so I'm looking forward to that aswell.

I like the new animations that are recently posted, I like that they thought of revamping that.

I can't wait to explore the new lands and venture deep inside the new dungeons and raids.

As pvp-sided, I'm not really a pvp-er, but I really enjoyed Ashran and I hope they add something like that or at least let it keep on going and add some small new content to it.

There are really a lot of things I can't wait to do in Legion. If I'd continue, I could write a novel. tongue.png

Good luck everyone, may the RNG gods shine on us.

And thank you for the chance, Icy Veins! smile.png

I am looking forwards to Legion PvP mostly because i hope it will fix all the balancing issues which have been in wow PvP up to this point. I am as well looking forwards to being able to play all my alts in PvP without having to gear them so i can get right into the Arena action.

Some of my best moments in wow is probably from MOP where me and two friends managed to achieve 2400 rating in 3v3 arenas for the first time. Had loads of fun in the last season of MOP where i think PvP was in a great place, it was just amazing.

While the artifacts, new zones, and storylines of Legion all look very exciting, the thing I am most excited for is the new transmogrification features. The wardrobe will definitely clear up my characters' inventories. I think it might have to be one time 10 years ago when I was 14 years old, and a total newbie. I was playing on a PvP server at the time. I grouped with a random druid in STV. We quested and fought the enemy faction together for a while, and had a really good time together. Then I asked him where he's from. Turned out he was from Greece, basically the other end of Europe from where I live, Norway. And he was late for something, so he had to leave. It was in that moment it really dawned on me how WoW-players come from all around the world, from all walks of life. And that's one of my favorite things about this game, how it brings people from all over, together. That is why this is my favorite Warcraft memory.

Finally some news on beta! Give the off chance that I actually get a beta invite to a blizzard game for once the first thing I would be checking out would be all the new features for my Guardian Druid. Oh and demon hunters, naturally.

I look forward to play Paladin since it was the first character/class I played and my favorite twink is a Paladin as well.

I would love to test how 60 twinking is, in Legion, since I am member/ex-gm of one of the greatest 60 twinking guild EU. I hope 60 twinking won't die, we've had a lot fun in that guild for a few years and hopefully a few more to come! biggrin.png

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
