Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Ever since the Burning Crusade, i have been hooked, as i started my wow journey there(although i have been following since Warcraft III : Reign of Chaos) and it really left me hooked, The thing i'm looking forward to in Legion is how are they going, lore wise, to bring Illidan back, redemption story etc. I hope also to get another glimpse of Sargeras, and how they incorporate back with Kil'Jaeden. Also whether King Varian Wrynn is really dead. favorite moment last time was actually PVP'ing with a bunch of my friends against a Alliance dominated server. (as i wasn't really an active raider,  i didn't manage to reach Illidan or Arthas in the coming expansions until WOD)   FOR THE HORDE.

I hope the content will be harder so we feel that we earned it when we achieve something but more importantly, the community, potential frinds and all the people who play this game for the Multiplayer aspect, will be decent and understanding towards others.

I am most looking forward to the increasingly difficult dungeons that are similar to GRIFTS from D3. I haven't raided since WotLK and I love the idea of being able to get raid comparable gear with a 5 man instead of having to commit to 19 other people's schedules. I'm really hoping Legion is much more social than the last couple expansions because I really miss meeting new people outside of a raid setting

I am really excited to play with the new specs - and gnome hunters, yay!  My fondest moments... well, my husband and I used to raid with a group in Wrath and we stayed friends with many of them (even though most of them - including my husband - have quit playing).

Ooh - and transmog is really exciting and the weapons that can grow with you and demon hunters and....

:-)

I'm really excited about the changes they made for disc priest. can't wait to try out the new healing build since it's quite boring to spam shields in WoD.Since everyone is now fully equipped at the end of this expansion and the members are less active, I can't wait to have the raiding team back together when Legion starts and having these weekly late night sessions again. Hopefully I can get a glimpse of it already during the beta

First, thank you Icy Veins for this opportunity. Happy 5th anniversary, thanks for all of your hard work, (rotation guides, boss guides, etc), and I'm glad to you engaging us in discussion.

I think this will be a big expansion. By big, I mean Blizzard really has a chance to keep WoW moving forward. I think that the spell animations/sounds will really enhance the user experience, and I think what they are doing with all the new rotations/specs/demon hunter class will really give a fresh experience. However, I am unsure if these well-needed changes will be enough to sustain an expansion. Overall, I feel most of us will adjust to the animations/sounds/specs rather quickly, and artifacts appear to be just a different flavor of perks.

I sincerely hope Blizzard makes Legion successful, and I would love to help them on their journey to releasing  Legion.

-MasterMike

I started World of Warcraft back in 2004 I believe, by the end of the year. I remember logging in to the game on my old computer which would constantly crash. tongue.png I didn't know what came over me. I was totally immersed into the game, 3D, roleplaying elements, amazing music and you could even form groups of friends! I was so hyped.

Now it's almost 12 years (I think) later since the release of WoW and I just got done with raiding mythic Hellfire Cittadel with my guild. Taking a small break now till Legion. What I am really looking forward to are the new melee animations and the Retribution Paladin artifact. As well as class halls. Can't wait to slay enemies with fellow paladins and grab my Order of the Silver Hand tier gear. cool.png

I started playing during MoP in 2014. I had fun leveling until I hit 47 on a Monk, decided I liked what I was seeing enough to pre-order WoD (plus I really wanted a DK). I boosted that Monk, made and leveled my DK. The guides really helped me get the ball rolling What am I most looking forward to in Legion? Getting to try out the classes with their new updates. Demonology has my undivided attention right now (as well as MM Hunter, my current main) Fondest memory? Actually completing the Legendary Cape in MoP.) and several level 90s later, I decided on Mage for my main during MoP. I started the Sigil of power/wisdom stage and worked on it for all my characters but never got past it. My Mage was the only character I pushed past that and eventually completed the cape on Really looking forward to Legion

Im most looking forward to the playstyle of DH and the design of the new area, i have watched so many streams on legion and also took a look at how demon hunters were made. My biggest memory would have to be when i first played cata asking my friend to give me slow fall so i could get the [Going Down

From all the feedback I have seen and read I am very excited about Legion in general. While the new content, the artifact questlines and the reworking of many of the specs probably are most relevant to my line of gaming (PvE), I must say I am looking forward to seeing the new PvP talent system in action as well as the prestige system.

I am not sure there is something specific I would bring back, but I really do miss raiding with my guild back in Vanilla, and I think the biggest moment was me leading the raid when we took down C'thun. For me it was all about the people, and they aren't coming back. I have had a lot of fun in the game since then, but it will never be the same :)

I've always been very interested in Warcraft's rich history and lore. It's why new expansions always manage to reel me in and get me all hyped up. The latest release of Chronicles is also made with Legion in mind so things that have been spoilered (not that I mind myself.) are really starting to come together. With that said the stories tied into the Artifacts are also very interesting, further revealing or introducing us to things that were never properly explained

One of my fondest memories in wow was in wrath when i first tried an alliance character and hated it. however i was going through Ragefire Chasm and one of my party members was a night elf and accidentally jumped off the side to do a back-flip straight into the lava. Aside from that, i can't wait for the unholy death knight overhaul in legion. Although i still play one now and i really enjoy the unholy death knight rotation and gameplay as it is, i still look forward to any changes or buffs to my class. c:<

The thing I'm most hyped for in Legion is the class redesigns. I love the way the new classes are looking, it's like they are all brand new specs. It's made me want to play some classes and specs that I've never had interest in before, like Warlock or Ret Pally.

My fondest WoW memory was back in ICC when my guild was working on killing the Lich King. It was the last raid night of the week and my GM said that if we killed it this week he would give everyone 5k gold. We killed it that night and the GM sent out the gold to everyone. Next day he gets his account suspended for gold trading biggrin.png

First Congrats on your 5 year anniversary.  I have been with Icy Veins since 2012, I have used the class guides on every toon I have made in World of Warcraft.  For talent trees to gems and enchants to rotation help.  And With Legion coming out and all the spec changes I really will need Icy Veins then.  Keep up the great work guys, and hopefully you will be able to give me a beta key and see you in game

Well, to be honest I kinda got tired of WoW unfortunately. I got to the point my guildmates got tired of the new members that got used to the "easiness" of the raidfinder and didn't bother the challenge of the raids, and with the lack of people willing to do so we just got stuck farming stuff like pets, mounts and gold for instance. Later people got bored of the game itself. I'm not telling the game lacks stuff to do, its just, we got tired... the "lifers". About the Legion xpac, I'm very excited to hear if it will be awesome as the previews, demon hunters way to play, not much about the gear itself but mostly the new lore. About the memories, the times when I got time to play and guildies were most available and willing to learn and do their best is the thing I am most missing. The enthusiasm and the randomness of meeting people in Azeroth while trying to quest... I miss that :)

I would really love to try Legion.

I stopped WoW after cataclysm due to money issues.

However, with Legion being released I would like to try the beta and possibly start WoW again

(now that I can afford the subscription time).

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
