Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I have enjoyed the dungeon system in WoW ever since you had to make your own group from trade chat and fly to the entrance. I really look forward to trying out the dungeons in Legion for myself and i am really exited about the challenge mode system :D

Past/Current:Ive always been playing WoW with casual approach and only in late MoP i started to get more involved in raiding world and during the time of WoD ive grown from being casual LFR/Dungeon player into 13/13mythic in HFC. Im extremely happy with my progress to become hopefully one day the top raider for my role, with alot effort i feel like i can achieve this. Recent work on raids from Blizzard has been insanely good and i consider HFC to be in my top3 best raids ever done with BRF not far behind and i can only expect them to improve from those in Legion, with new addition of Demonhunter i hope to learn new indepth stuff when it comes to raiding and lacking Legion alpha access ive only been able to watch and wait anxiously to get my hands on the action

I was a late comer to WoW, starting in BC but once i did start i was completely hooked and have been subbed to the game pretty consistently since.

My favourite expac would have to be Wrath, joined my first raid guild with people i still consider friends to this day and began my proper raiding career, Ulduar being the highlight of the expac.

As for what i'm looking forward to in Legion, I've always loved the lore behind the BL and the Illidari so finally getting to delve into that is gonna be great.  I'm also very excited for the lore rich artifact quests (Ashbringer *drools*).

Also as someone who has typically shyed away from PvP in WoW (but a fierce altoholic and levelaholic, if that's a thing) i'm actually really excited about the new PvP progression system.

Plus Demon Hunters.

First congrats to Icy Veins on 5 year anniversary. This is my go to sure for guides and class information. So thank you for the hard work and dedication you have put into the site.I have been playing wow since day one with my husband. Its hard to pick one moment from so many to pick from. I think one of the most memorable was the first time we cleared believe WAY back in vanilla. I got my night elf cleric helm and robe that night. It was a very good time back then. I am looking forward to legion to the new class, exploring the new lands and the new quests. Thanks for the consideration.

I do miss the good ol' days when you could do things which Blizzard forgot to take into account that could happen. Such as saving Baron Geddons bomb on a pet for... later "use" ;). And spreading the ZG-Hakkar debuff causing a plague which researchers IRL used in their studies. If only Blizzard could make some new mistakes to exploit ;)

My experience is mainly based on The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King expansions, since I simply stopped playing after that. It was only recently that I made new character to get portrait for Hearthstone and got the chance to see latest WoW. I was immediately sucked back into it. Though there are many improved things (dungeon menu, all bosses with their abbilities explained,...), there are also some I didn't like (talents - I got Avenger's Shield at level 10 holy ****, my favorite king turned to diamond sad.png ,...). Anyway, the thing I will never forget is definitely my first guild run into Naxxramas as protection paladin dwarf.

What I look forward in the Legion is how the story unfolds. I am not much into pvp, so I hope there will be some really awesome bosses with new awesome abilities. These new artifacts look nice as well. As one with Lord Garithos attitude, I would also totally love to see the Undead purged from Lordaeron somewhere in the future smile.png

The warlock is almost redo (just like every time). And the demon hunter so cool, I'd like to say it looks better than DK. The context seems back to the main line, and we face LEGION eventually

I am happy about icy veins growing so fast. I've been using your website for a while and it's been helpfull a lot of times.

In Legion I am looking forward a lot of things. The way the story is going, the new transmog system, artifacts weapons, whole theme - it's just amazing! In WoD we had little facebook like things, but now it seems like the glory of WoTLK may be coming back.

As for my personal favourite moment I had a great one. That moment was playing a quest in thousand needles with my first paladin. Can't remember the name of the quest now, but I was puting ship out of fire, which happend beause of cataclysm. I don't know why, but this one just stuck in my head and I got this crazy nostalgic-loving memory of it.

Anyway, whishing you guys the best!

To be honest, everything i watched about legion suprises me. They put so much effort in it. The lore, the mounts, the landscape, and especially that you can choose where to start. And the pvp, i think it will come out great. Its a fun system. And what can i say about those artifact weapons..? damn.. Who cant be hyped for that? Cant wait!

So much I am looking forward to in Legion, I have been playing WoW since launch and I've not had this kind of buzz about the game since TBC. Personally I'm looking forward to being able to go back to playing Holy Priest, I love the direction it is going so far in the Legion Alpha. The whole 'fit the fantasy' concept for each class/spec just works for me on so many levels. For the first time in years i'm excited for the look and feel of the new tier gear and artifact weapons.

Can't wait to 'be' a priest again, in looks and playstyle.

I've always loved the sensation of discovering new regions and learning to play my characters as they increase in level and learn new skills.

I'm especially looking forward to exploring the new zones in Legion which look fantastic. I'm also looking forward to playing the new Demon Hunter class and leatning the new artifact system.

The new transmog system looks great too.

Cheers

I am looking forward to testing the features and abilities of the Demon Hunter. Also to admire the new feral Druid forms. The current and previous forms have always been beautifully upgraded. I look forward to streaming the new content and progression through heroics.

I have been playing WoW since it went live. I'm very excited for Legion and hoping that artifacts will revitalize gameplay on my feral druid. I love playing feral, but it definitely has not been fotm for a while. My favorite expansion was WotLK and I'd love to feel that sense of excitement again. Favorite WoW memory is opening day when my entire guild transferred to WoW from another game. The excitement on Vent as we created new characters and started playing was amazing. That guild is long gone, but oh what memories.

Can't wait for what they're going to do to Destruction warlocks in Legion! Hope that WoW comes back stronger next xpack, too! Demonology skull looks crazy, and the destruction artifact look good too! That affliction artifact... okay yeah, so they're all really good! Can't say the same for other artifacts im afraid. Hoping that the dungeons in the game will stay relevant throughout the expansion, we'll see, eh?

Legion pve just looks interesting, those new dungeons look great visually and it's nice how Blizzard have added raid like mechanics in to dungeons. Wod dungeons were ok, but after few runs it was just too easy. I'm also excited to play rogue since it has changed so much. Main reason i would like to get beta access is to play legion myself, because i just can't get all the information i would like to get from watching streams, youtube videos and reading articles.

Would be awesome to win the Beta key, really looking forward to trying out my Fire mage. Flame on! Also, looking forward to sitting down underneath one of those gigantic ships the Legion is using as part of their invasion. I will be fully equipped to handle that situation: binoculars, camera, and tin foil hat!

Legion is quite packed with goodies so choosing is an arduous task but here are some, want to check out Warlocks all three specs and their artifact quest line. Really want to try out the Demon hunter as well the Survival Hunter. Professions and Class order halls seems like something that needs checking out. The dungeons is another must for me. Lets just say the only thing I don't much care for is PVP and I will even check that out. LoL

I am super excited about demon hunter. It's kind of been my fantasy class ever since I started playing World of Warcraft. Rogue was a decent stand-in for a long time, but over the years it's kind of lost that fast-paced playstyle that I loved. Hoping DH fills some of that niche again.

I am torn between demon hunter and arcane mage for raiding, though. The arcane artifact looks really fun, and I'm curious to see what arcane's rotation turns into without prismatic crystal.

The lore behind some of the other artifacts is really tempting too. Decisions decision. :D

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
