Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Prior to Blizzcon 2013 rumors about Demon Hunters being a playable class floated around.  I am very excited by the fact of Demon Hunters being a playable class in Legion.

Best of memories about WOW in general hover around Cataclysm.  I wouldn't say Cata is the best xpac, but I loved the introduction of Worgen and the entire story line.  Plus, at the time, I happened to be part of a very active and friendly PVP guild throughout Cata.

I've started playing WoW towards the end of Vanilla as a balance druid. My cousin got me into it and I've never left. Playing it (and getting into other Blizzard games as well) has been a huge part of my life ever since. I've even met my husband through it happy.png !

BC, Wrath, Cata, MoP, Warlords... all of the previous expansions have their pros and cons, with BC being my favourite of all. But with Legion? I don't know anymore! There's so much to expect form the upcoming expansion that I can't help but get fill with excitement. Artifacts, new dungeons, new way to augment difficulty, new raids, new maps, demon hunters, profession revamp, new pets and mounts, new PvP system (did I say demon hunter?), etc.

All in all, I never got the chance to have beta access. It would be an amazing opportunity for me to test content in advance, help discover bugs, try out the new stuff and get even more hype that I actually am for the release. Could this year be my turn? I sure do hope so! biggrin.png

P.S: hope all of this makes sense. English isn't my first language tongue.png

I started playing back in TBC as a paladin. The thing i liked the most was that i had so much to learn in order to do good damage. There was three different judgements and i had to try them many times in order to find out which one was the best, more damage, slow or mana? I really like when you have to try these kind of things for yourself. In legion we have a new way of changning talents. which means we will switch talents all the time depending on what we are going to do. For example for different types of mobs in dungeons/raids and bosses that spawn more adds or less adds. I have't played legion beta yet (obviously) but i've seen some of the demon hunter talents showing potential of deciding for yourself what your primary stat should be(haste or crit). The reason i wanna play legion is because i love when you have to try different playstyles depending on your gear and situation.

Firstly I would say I am most looking forward to the opportunity to play a new class as my main. But as a raider I am also looking forward to the raids, something which blizzard rarely fails to deliver on.

Also, having watched quite a lot of the class previews, the new take on the talent system looks much better than the current version, where you may change one or two talents for single target versus aoe, but not much else.

Im really excited about the new Pvp system in legion, I really hope it feels like a new way to play pvp and experience pvp. im also really excited about the new animations in legion because he have had the same animations for about 12 years now.

Im really excited about the demon hunter class! i hope they make it something really special.

I gave up pvp in wod because it was not fun anymore but now i really hope to get back at it with the new legion pvp system thats coming.

Also every new expansion they make quest better and more fun so im kinda hyped about how they gonna make it even better.

After i quit pvping in wod, i started raidng and it was so much fun and i really hope i can experience the same feeling in legion.

So im kinda hyped about everything in legion but i really hope this will bring back old friends back to wow and make new ppl join the world of warcraft community.

I really cant wait for legion to come out!

I know i took alot of topics and i know it dosent increase the chances of winning but i feelt like commeting about everything im hyped about ^^

I have been looking forward to the next expansion since WOD the content was okay but it seamed rushed but was far better then MoP I have raided and did pvp in ever expansion since BC and I must say a lot has changed and I'm looking forward to see if wow can bounce back after how bad MoP hurt them and from what I see legion might be the thing they need. It will have stuff for everyone. As a feral If I don't want to raiding that day for pop in can grind skins or get the weapon for my other class. Another thing I look forward to is the scenery I love looking at the zones and these class hall look top tier....so ready for legion. Favorite moment was killing illidan in black temple with my guild and getting the glaves man I hope we get to kill him again soon

For a long time now we have all strived to become better, or even the best. But now, in Legion, we will all be noobs again, because mostly everything will be new. Now we are all lined up at the same place, and the race goes from there. Thats what I'm looking forward to the most.

But let's not forget the awesome new lore and graphics!

i'm totally waiting for this new class. cant wait to jump around like being bitten by an avalanche of fleas.

and then beam the shit out of whatever passes my way.

plus the new honor system really seems to bring some change to the overall atmosphere in pvp-combat, at least in the beginning.

I'm really excited about quite a few things, but if i had to pick just one i would say leveling in the new areas. Leveling new characters has always been kind of a hobby for me. Currently have five 100s and can't wait to get them all to 110.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
