Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Legion... hmm.. been following ppl like Baj, Cartoonz, Swifty, Sensus, fatboss" etc etc. Aaaanndd so far I'm quite stunned how things seem to be turning better and better. Changes which appeal to me the most are definitely in the questing/PvP category. The new PvP system that was introduces has made me thrilled, for a simple reason as well. It opens up more than just Human as "viable" race in PvP, why? PvP Trinket has been removed as an item and seems to take place in the PvP talents, good job!

I also like the nonlinear system that they have introduces us with the leveling zones. I think it brings out the best in the lore and well.. yeah it forces people to learn about world of warcrafts lore but hey, this in an RPG. It is supposed to do that! Well done all and all everyone in the blizzard HQ!

Also regarding the icy-veins history, i thank you for the years you have shared with us and all the guides you have put down for us. They have helped me the past years in many ways and I always find myself coming back to your guides after searching "windwalker stat priority" in google. At least your optimization is in place.

Firstly I would like to thank Ice veins for the opportunity to participate in this contest and have a chance to get Beta Keys for the new expansion World of Warcraft: Legion.  You are doing great job for the community.

Personally I have been playing WoW from the beginning. It means that I have been playing wow for 11 years with some breaks between expansions and 11 years is huge part of live of individual person. For me WoW is not only the greatest game I have ever played and enjoyed but it became part of my life and my personality. Yes I am older, I am not now 20 year old student of university. Now I have got family and kids, it means that I plays a lot of less than I get used to in the past but I still enjoy my free time in WoW and sometimes is WoW my escape from reality and real life issue.

I have met a lot of good people and have made a lot of friends through 11 years of my life in WoW and I hope that I will meet more people in Legion and I will have more fun in this game than before. I am always looking forward for the new expansion because I love fresh starts, new ideas, raids, spells, characters, lore, pvp, talking about new stuff etc. I am always very motivated and hyped when expansion starts because there is a lot of thing to discover and to learn.Old friends are returning to the game and we can have fun together again.

The Legion looks very promising for me and it  has a lot of cool new ideas which I love. For example Artifact talent and PvP talent and Lore will be good as well.

I wish all good people good luck in this contest and see you all in WoW.

For the Azeroth!!

The most interesting thing in Legion for me will be new challange mode system (the one simmilar to diablo). It will be fun to have a option to progress as a five men group, rather than creating whole raid with 20+ ppl. And the idea of not getting downscaled, but rather beeing checked if we can make it done with our current items is more fun.

But the sad thing is i really enjoyed special Gear/outfit that we could get from Challange modes. The visuals of items were really outstanding. I will be missing it :<

I relly hope that the new ele shaman will be better than the current state. I am relly sad that we do not bring much atm. The changes looks interesting, but not like a complete fix (atleast for me).

Hello guys! I'm really looking forward to the Legion expansion because of the new class (The demon hunter), which was a dream come true! After all the years of killing the Illidari infront of BT (Black Temple) I thought they were real cool with the eye-bands and the tattoos and all, for the kid I was they were the coolest guys in WoW. And ofcourse my favorite item Cursed Vision or Sargeras, because it was the closest you could get to them with the warglaives and it felt really cool. Now that I can see that in action in such a big class in which the coolness is only one of it's minor parts I see the kid in me waiting hyped ^^ !

The thing I miss most in WoW are the old dungeons with the big storylines which you learn from the beggining of the game (as the lich king with an undead) and the thoughtful armor set's that were made, not just random re-colours and minor re-works. I miss the detail in the game I miss seeing the little things making a difference. Now all we see is new maps and short story lines! I really hope Legion changes this!

Thank you for reading guys! Was a pleasure writing this!

As an SV hunter main I'm very excited for the artifact weapons and the idea of melee hunter being fully embraced in legion. I look forward to unlocking the traits but am I little worried about doing artifact progression while leveling only to find out that the spec you played isnt that great in pve and you need to reroll to a fresh artifact. I don't want to feel locked into one spec just in case nerfs come and something becomes more or less viable.

Also, the new honor system looks really cool and something I can see myself doing a lot in my free time.

I can't wait to play Legion because i find the Burning Legion fascinating even though I would like some more Old Gods action. I really like the personalisation of the artifact weapons and my best memories come from Pandaria because all the zones are beautiful.

Can't wait to meet all the characters and see the places, hopefully to feel like when I first took step on Northrend and realized I was about to visit all the Frozen Throne locations and people.

Personally, I'm looking most forward in Legion to the new combat sound effects and animation. They really haven't been all that updated since the game first launched, and the way they're making everything look and sound now adds a new feeling to it, a new sense that makes it way more appealing. It's even better than the character model updates, to be honest, and I definitely look forward to seeing such things.~

For my memories of playing WoW... Although it's probably not my most FOND memory, but one of the most memorable, is spending a straight thirteen hours in a pug group on Heroic Blackhand. Complete hell, and even if we didn't down it in the end, it was still worth it. My most fond moments, though, would be spending ages farming ICC25H with a friend back before it was soloable until we'd both get Invincible. Even if we stopped after it was soloable, it was still a good, memorable time.

I'm really looking forward to Legion, the new content, leveling, the honor and pvp system and how to build our own artifact build and how the transmog changes will be. I'm really excited for the prestige system

I find it quite weird that bosses wont drop weapons - due to the legendary weapons system. Just imagine defeating a boss wielding a huge axe/sword as his main attack and you spend countless tries killing him and in the end you dont even have the chance to get his weapon.

I hope there will be much more solo content in legion after hitting the level cap, not like in cata/wod.

Really had to create a account for this wonderful oppertunity after being a leecher for a few years ^_^

I'm really looking forward to the new PVP system and the artifacts :)

My most memorable memory would be back in WoTLK, where I started my pvp career aswell as the drop of Time-Lost proto drake :)

Everything! Artifacts, the Demon Hunter (lore and gameplay is looking SICK!). Then im looking forward to see the Legion in full force, just like in Warcraft 3. After seing the Gamescom and Blizzcon Game panel vidoes, I'm expecting alot regarding the storyline. Finally we are getting to experince the Tomb of Sargeras. Can't wait!

My most memorable moment in wow has to be the time when i first loggin in back in 2004. The sensation in my body was insane. To walk into the world, play the char and experiencing everything was awesome. Didn't get much sleep the first couple of months xD

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
