Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I',m coming bk to WoW for Legion, and I'm honestly really hyped for the dungeons, I've watched videos on them and they seem to be really cool, along with the challenge modes, I'm hoping the dungeons will last for a very long time! No more boring grind! (hopefully).

Honestly what I enjoyed the most was.. basically all of cataclysm, I know this is probably me looking through my nostalgia glasses, but I loved that expansion! I mained death knight in Cataclysm, and the class worked perfectly in my mind, loved it all, looking forward to picking a main for Legion :D.

I'm actually REALLY hyped for Legion.  I feel like things have been going WAY downhill over the years since Cata, and while I still enjoy aspects of the game, I'm definitely not playing daily like I used to.  If anything, I've fallen into maybe once or twice a month.  Seeing all the new things in Legion and seeing how they hired a larger team gives me a lot of hope that this will be the expansion to get things back on track.  The biggest thing I'm looking forward to is the class halls and weapons.  I've been waiting for something to make my classes feel more unique and interesting.  Here's hoping I get a chance to try it out before release

Having a hard time deciding what to main in legion. Changes in how the eclipse bar for balance druids seem to be a lot of fun. Not a huge fan of how it works now. Ended up maining my warrior in wod, because of that. Changes to fury and arms look pretty interesting so I may end up keeping him as my main. Although my guilds lack of ranged DPS and balance druids will probably make me end up choosing that class. Not to mention they can be a blast in PvP despite the weirdness of the eclipse bar.

I am most interested in Legion is how the new pvp system will work and the separation of pve and pvp talents. The new ranking and prestige system does sound pretty cool and seeing what rewards will be available and playing towards them will be fun. Hopefully this will lead to increased world pvp because that leads me to my next point.

What I thoroughly enjoyed in the past games was the fun I had with friends pvping in halaa during burning crusade. Between the large scale almost 30-30 battles at times and even just the 2v2s that would happen, it was always a daily event in pvp. It was certainly one of the more consistently satisfying world pvp features I remember in awhile. There were also rewards you could achieve in getting kills, including the cool looking mounts. I'd imagine the prestige rewards would be similar.

I certainly hope the new pvp reworks bring this element of fun back to WoW

I'm looking forward to all the class changes- particularly to Death Knights. I can't wait to play a Demon Hunter as well. Monks have been my favorite class since MoP, and I really enjoyed them for their lightning-fast speed and utility, but it looks like Demon Hunters are going to give that rating a run for it's money, lol.

I am really excited for...well Legion in general! However, I think I am most excited about all of the changes they are making to Hunters! Survival hunter looks really interesting, it doesn't look like it will be useful for raiding, but it looks like it will be super fun to play for other aspects of the game! Mongoose bite seems pretty unforgiving! The idea of artifact weapons also seems fantastic! I love the fact that it grows with you as you go through the game!

My fondest moment in WoW history would have to be when my friend and I started a guild! Although I am no longer in that guild, it led me to the friends I have online now and the guild I am currently running! I wouldn't be having nearly as much fun as I am now if it were not for us creating the guild. I wouldn't be working on my progression nor would I be learning/taking as much from the game as I am now!

I am looking forward to everything!!!! Hahahah. Of course the artifact weapons are going to be AWESOME. Definitely looking forward to those. Order Halls! I can't wait for that!  I have always been a druid main, but man demon hunters look sick! I could go on forever with what I'm excited for in Legion but I'll just leave it at that lol. I have a feeling Legion is going to be very special.

The one thing I look forward to the most in Legion is how artifacts and the new PVP system enables Blizzard a more fine-grained tuning of class balance. Balancing is obviously a very difficult task, and there has been plenty of issues before. Hopefully the improvements in this area will allow guilds and friends to focus on composition of people rather than composition of the currently strongest classes.

Hi Guys,

first about WoW in General. I love playing it because of this unbelievable good Story.
I'd liked the old addons more as the new ones because of more individuality. But the Addons after WoTLK even were so good that no other mmorpg could stand aside.

Im not really sure about legion. The way they dealt with the Squish of WoD is really crap. I dont think 2-4 M health are to much but if we are going to have that HP, the squish was not even a bit effective. Just a wrong dessicion.

And the way selfheal gets bigger and bigger really scares me. Dps Speccs should not heal better than heal specs, like it is already now ( feral, Warlock etc..)

I really would love seeing legion, so i can make my own picture of whats going on before i have to buy the game.

Thanks and sorry for my bad english

I am excited for Legion. I really think it is an opportunity for Blizzard to fix some of the things that really went wrong with WOD (Garrisons were way more disappointing than expected :() I think I have taken more breaks from the game in WOD than I have since I started playing in BC. I am super excited for the Demon Hunter, I love the way it looks on Alpha - but I have seen some people complain it is a two button class.

I main as a Shaman, and have just recently started playing Enhancement after years of playing Elemental. I think the changes to talents and the classes is a great idea, basically revamping specs to make them more distinguishable from the others and requiring different gameplay.

I think artifact weapons are an interesting idea, but I was kind of let down when I found out that eventually all of the abilities will be unlocked. I was hoping the "talents" in the artifact would be more like a tree to make it customizable and unique (kind of like the older talent trees in BC).

Most memorable moment is probably leading my first raid and getting the first LK kills for the group, which launched my raid leading ventures for the next few years until mid-WOD.

Overall, really want to check out Demon Hunters and Shamans, as well as the class halls and the new instances.

I am looking forward to playing a Blood Death Knight. It will be my first time playing a tank as a main, but where they are heading with their fantasy is really what gets me. And on another note I hope that you can do more outside of raiding then WoD had.

I cant wait for Legion! The new honor system for pvp looks amazing and I can see my self spending weeks farming stuff for the artifact weapons. I'm also one of the few people that is actually excited for the new profession system, I love collecting new patterns for my crafting! I've spent a large amount of time trying to collect all the crafting patterns for all the professions on my characters. This xpac is going to be amazing, hope to see you all in it :)

One of the things that I am most excited about, with Legion approaching, is the new areas that await to be explored. I've always enjoyed wandering the map and discovering new places, especially since I've only being play WOW consistently for about a year now.

I know that the graphics for Legion will be improved from what they've been previously and I can't wait to see what Blizzard has been working on for a long time now. I feel that notable locations, such as Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or even Pandaria will seem as if they've been revitalized and I can't wait to see them.

I am super excited for the artifact weapon grind!!!  I have been looking forward to this grind for months! The garrison was ok, I would have preferred it to be a little more challenging. Excitement factor of the garrison was off the charts! Mining, Herbing, Fishing - ALL IN ONE PLACE  - good times.  The shipyard, well, what can I say? Two words : gaming bliss. I absolutely loved how you were never guaranteed a success. And the fact that your ship could blow up made it sooooooooo exhilirating. Sometimes, I would blow up my good ships on purpose just so I could build up a bigger and better one! FANTASTICAL. I hope there will be plenty of dailies to do as well...I don't have a job, so the WoW dailies give me a sense of accomplishment that I just would not get otherwise. I like to do my dailies before I do anything else! (Im the guy who eats dessert BEFORE dinner tee hee)

I absolutely love icy-veins. YOU GUYS ARE NEVER WRONG! I come here first whenever I have a serious question that needs to be answered. I don't go to wowhead or noxxic - totally INFERIOR. You guys are the BEST! I hope you guys excited and proud of what you have accomplished. YOU SHOULD BE. Helping kids and dysfunctional adults be the best they can be. If there was some award I could give you, man, I would totally give it to you. 80 years guys!  5 years later - NO REGRETS! YOLO

There's so much to be excited about in Legion, its hard to pick just a couple. The dungeons and raids look freakishly amazing. The lore is also really exciting and I've been avoiding spoilers just to see it as it was intended. After so much focus on orc lore I can't wait to delve into the elvin history, because everything is better with elves. And what paladin isn't excited to wield Ashbringer? Favorite moment in wow thus far? Finally downing Garrosh with my raid team after months of hard work. The storyline through SoO was really great; so was the hype in vent that night.

I want to play the beta, because I'm really excited about the addon. Legion has so much content (new dungeons, raids, usefull professions, artifact weapons, the new pvp-system,...) that I can't wait to play it!

I hope that, with a beta key, I will be able to provide lot's of feedback for blizzard so that Legion can go live as soon as possible.

My best warcraft expirence was the moment, when I got Val'anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings after months of farming it.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
