Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm excited for Legion because of the PvP templates and the PvP talent tree. It will give the pvp devs a lot of control they said they never had before. But I am also scared for Legion because they are taking away lots of abilities that are needed for classes to not just be bad/good versions of each other. They did this in WoD with Disc priest and it made that class not as much fun to play and then they just tried to bandage it up with Saving Grace. Will Leigon be better than WoD. Not doubt in my mine. Will is be better than Cata (imo the 2nd worst expac) This is yet to be seen by me because Blizzard has added things to the game like bringing Inner Focus back and having a replacement for SW:D but then they just removed them without giving any reason behind why even though they have always been good spells in the for outplay I.E deathing blinds consistently and not getting sheeped all the time. From what I can see in the Alpha Disc has no way to dodge cc or outplay anything they are just meat sacks.

Really really looking forward to revisiting some of the WotLK content revamped.

Demon hunters look like an awesome class to play, and I'm dying to see how hunters play out in Legion. I was part of the WoD beta and I'm really looking forward to hopefully getting involved in this one!

I've played WoW for so many years now and I really hope this will be the expac to bring it back to the level it was previously.

Personally, I am most looking forward to in Legion will be exploring! I love getting new zones & finding all the hidden things. My friends and I have great fun with it, and if one of us finds something cool we'll yell in Guild or party chat "Hey xxxx come see this!!!" along those lines lol.

We are all casual raiders, so in my off time I like to go mount and / or battle pet hunting. I, as an altoholic cannot wait to get a demon hunter. Gotta have one of every race too, haha. :)

 Good luck everybody!

Since there is a small content drought, I'm looking forward to seeing new content. I can't wait to see how my favorite classes have changed, for good or for bad. I'm excited to have to relearn things because adaptation to change makes games fun!

I'm extremely excited to be able to play as a demon hunter!  The new transmog changes are also a welcome addition to the game and will allow everyone to finally clean out some much needed bank and void storage space.

I'm really hoping that Legion brings back a sense of the world that has been missing since BC and WotLK.  The game just used to feel much bigger before the dungeon finder and garrisons were introduced and I'm excited to hopefully be immersed in a giant world again!

Lovin the site redesign. Looking sleek.

Very excited for the new transmog system. I still haven't found a definitive answer, though, regarding what you have to do with BOEs to get them into your "closet." Do you have to equip them? Or at least cause them to be bound to you?

Behind those questions is my wondering what the transmog market is going to look like. If you only need to have the BOEs in your bags to unlock them for transmog, and then you can resell them, then the transmog market is going to die pretty quickly. If, however, you have to bind them to you to unlock them, then some of the pricier sets will remain so, at least for awhile. This is what I'm hoping for :)

Mostly I'm looking forward to the artifacts. It's an interesting gameplay addition that could be really fun. Might make leveling alts (I have 11 level 100 toons) more fun too. I like that the talent trees (grids? matrices? ... dartboards?) are more focused on the individual specs. Should be an interesting time.

Looking forward to learn new raids to get a head on live server. Also I want to play the outlaw spec so bad:P

I started late to this last expansion but it was rather enjoyable with the garrison stuff and all that . Managed to clear mythic raids and I'm set for the new expansion so rather use my time to learn and experience the new expansion before hand.

I am having a lot of trouble deciding on what class to play, looking as shadow priest and affliction warlock, but i haven't seen much about shaman yet either which is my current main.

the hype is real when it comes to Legion, I've never been this exited for a expansion before. I'm mostly a raider with casual pvp battlegrounds when i'm bored, the new pvp system seams great for a player like me and the artifact system gives me reasons to do everything there is to do in WOW.

Been Raid leading since BC and have done almost every class and spec there is to pretty much(except rogue and hunter), I've mained mostly shaman and druid.

I'm mostly excited for the challenge mode dungeons in Legion. I think they have some great potential and hopefully will provide an alternative to raiding. I love raiding but sometimes doing content in smaller groups is also fun.

My favorite Wow Moment was probably getting my first Cutting Edge Achievement on Archimonde about three weeks ago.

I'm excited for most of the expansion, but most of all I'm excited to see the changes that they make to survival hunters. It will be interesting to have a melee spec again.

Im looking forward to what is hopefully the set up expansion for the biggest finale in game history. The stories and pieces they start to develop that will come to fruition in the next expansion or possibly 2 to bring to a close a wonderful story line. My hope is that it does not drag on forever just because they can. To have a cohesive story that draws itself into one penultimate moment that makes you say "Wow, that was a hell of a way to end this chapter of my life." As much as i dont want the game to end, as i have had spent a large chunk of time enjoying this game. I want it to end with a bang that leaves me satisfied, not continue on stagnant until it fades into darkness.

WoW will always hold a special place to me as it is where I met my husband almost 7 years ago. From it we had a beautiful wedding in Scotland on the coast at some castle ruins inspired by our love of WoW and have a beautiful son together.

What I am most looking forward to in Legion is the artifact weapons and the awesome spells and animations that come with them.

Thanks for always being a great information site for me and my WoW needs Icy Veins!

I've been considering registering for this forum anyway, since I'm finding their guides to classes very helpful so this giveaway was the final incentive. I'm very new to WoW, having only started last July with a generous gift from my daughter. She's been playing since the beginning and knew I'd enjoy the game. Well, she was completely right!

Asking me to talk about what I've enjoyed about WoW in the past makes me chuckle, since everything is currently new for me. There is such a wide range of choices to make in daily play that it's hard to narrow down to something short enough to be appropriate to post. You really don't want me to put everything down that I've been enjoying. However, let's start with professions. One of the arguments that my daughter used to finally convince me to start was crafting professions. This is something I've very much enjoyed in certain console games. WoW does a nice job with them, though there are certain factors I think could stand improvement. Still, I am enjoying them a lot. Next up is Pet Battles. I didn't know about these before I started and initially thought them not likely to interest me but I've changed my mind entirely. There are days I log in and that's all I work on now. I've got to add a plug for my guild too. The folks at Relentless Heroes have been wonderful at helping me learn all the ins and outs of the game. They're even the ones who told me about Icy Veins. Playing with a good group of buddies makes the game more enjoyable and certainly helps me learn more of what I'm doing.

I've seen quite a bit of discussion on various forums about how "Blizzard ruined the game by ...." - whatever expansion or change Blizzard's made in the years WoW has been around that whoever posted didn't enjoy. I can't support that viewpoint. Maybe if I'd been here before whatever change was made that upset people I'd feel differently but the game feels balanced, detailed, rich in content and a whole lot of fun. I'd say they got a whole lot right about it.

What I'm looking forward to in Legion is an expansion of what is already great about WoW. The depth of detail in the game is really good and I fully expect that depth of detail to continue and expand. The artifact gear looks interesting. I'm not really into PvP at this point but the additions to PvE look intriguing. I'm hoping I can save up enough spare change to get in on the fun before long.

I am a complete lore junkie, Just read the Chronicles vol.1 and cannot wait to see the tomb of Sargeras. Also looking forward to the pre launch event which was stated to be similar to the scourge event for WoTLK. I really enjoyed the argent tournament back in WoTLK and hope we can get an awesome daily hub during legion.

my fondest memories was back in vanilla wow on the legendary grind to rank 14 high warlord waking up at 5 am every morning and getting together ur regular bg group, playing for 20 hours straight with coke cans stacked up on my desk just blissfully rotting away, ahhh... the good old days, you could say I had left humanity behind.

I'm looking most forward to the new PVP talents and honor system in legion.

What im looking for legion , its feel the experience of being everything new like , talents , the new artifact weapon questlines every one of them , new zones , NEW LORE !!!!! . One of the things that really make me love wow  was the lore , the story telling of every expansion the quests , the history behind every raid. Just like every new expansion its really funny at the start , but at the end lacks of content or what you can do in the game , so far the legion expansion looks like you will have a lot of stuff to do  , leveling your artifact weapons , unlocking skins with prestige , with reputation . Now feels like what you do now on legion its going to be rewarding , every hour your spend on legion will be a reward and thats the goal of a MMO and i feel like legion will provide everything looks promising and im really hype of everything.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
