Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Well, for my WoW, was the first MMORPG i ever played, my first impression in this amazing world it's just unmatched, this World with huge zones, filled with many types of creatures. The first time i played with a friend, the first time i joined a Guild, the first time i killed a final Boss are unforgettable moments to me, i just can't wait to the new memories that i'll create with my old and new friends.

See ya later in Legion

I honestly can't wait to just hang out in the class halls. I've been waiting for a long time for Blizzard to bring class flavor back into the game, and so far Legion looks to be doing exactly that.

Congratulations on hitting the 5 year mark Icy Veins. I've used your WoW, HotS and D3 guides a lot in the past, they have been very helpful.

One of my favorite memories is leveling through Zangarmarsh on my mage and getting access to Arcane Barrage for the first time with the 51 point talent tree.

I'm a bit of an Alt-o-holic so I'm looking forward to trying out all the new changes and figuring out what class I want to main. I'm excited for the PvP changes and artifacts.

I'm looking forward to all the new cat forms with the Feral Artifact! They all look so amazing! Especially the white primal one, I'm really hoping to get that.

My favourite moment in WoW so far is when I actually started to raid in MoP, even though I'd played since vanilla I never really started actually raiding until Siege of Orgrimmar, so actually being in a raid team and doing it every week and progressing was one of my favourite moments.

I'm a lore nerd, so I'm mainly looking forward to the new questlines in Legion. So far they've been getting better and better with each expansion.

Also artifact weapons, new combat animations, demon hunters, pvp revamp, dungeons/raids, class changes, and probably a bunch of other things I can't remember off the top of my head.

I'm excited for all the new tank changes.

I'm glad most of them are getting big overhauls to refresh the decisions tanks make about resource expenditure.

Plus Demon Hunters, who isnt excited about that.

It'll be interesting to see how all these massive class overhauls affect people and the way they currently play. Will they continue, pick a new class, or stop altogether

Looking forward to the new version of challenge mode dungeons. It will be nice having dungeons being a challenge and providing useful gear through out the whole expansion

I am really hyped for legion! I would have to say that I'm most hyped for demon hunters and the class order halls! (My main is a mage and that mage order hall is absolutely stunning!)

Then my fondest memory would have to be when I was pugging BoT with a couple of friends and we ended up wiping a lot, but we had so much fun doing so! We took our time, had a few laughs, it was great! We still only got the first boss down though haha

I am really looking forward to keeping the same weapon through the entire expansion and just upgrading it, so it becomes more and more powerful instead of just changing weapons every time a better one drops. The transmog system is also fantastic, it will save me and plenty of other players massive amounts of bag space. Those two features will have to be my favourite features that will be in Legion.

Getting killed by a boss, without actually dying was/is the best mechanic that has ever happened to me. I absolutely love the Lich King encounter. He is the first villain that actually proves that he is better than us players. The only reason we actually defeat him is because of "the Light" which is some sort of deity and that is why the Lich King will always be my favourite villain and my most treasured memory in WoW.

I'm most looking forward to the changes to my main spec, Balance Druid, and trying out revamped specs like Demonology Warlock. My favorite memories come from leveling with a group of friends on our new undead toons.

As someone who loves the lore and having lots of alts I look forward to doing every single artifact quest.

I'm more hyped for legion than I've been for any of the last three expansions. As an avid dungeon player I like Blizzards intention of making five man instances be relevant for more than the first couple of days of the expansion.
What I'm most looking forward to though is probably that all of my friends that play WoW will be back and ready to play again. Right now it's quite lonely with just me and one other guild mate having active subscripition.

Looking back, playing with my guild mates in WotLK are probably my fondest memories. Logging on after work/school and finding a ton of my friends online and ready to run dungeons or level alts while chatting over voice com and watching simpsons reruns on TV was extremely relaxing.

Occationally I go back and watch our Boss kill videos from Naxx and Ulduar, just to listen to our voice com. Brings back a ton of memories.

Looking forward to all the lore. I love the War of the Ancients part of WoW lore, so having a raid situated in Suramar is really exciting. My favorite memory is probably just adventuring with friends, whether that is in raids or just in the world.

I'm quite excited to finally get to wield Ashbringer, been looking forward to it for a very long time! I also hope that Blizzard brings back Kara, one of the best raids IMO and some of my best memories from BC happened in that tower!

Congrats on 5 years!

I'm looking forward to many things in Legion.  I like idea of scaling zones for leveling, artifacts, and Challenge Mode Dungeons; but my number one is the wardrobe.  I'm not sure if i'll be more of a collector or seller.

My favorite WoW moment was dinging level 70 (started in BC).  It felt like a huge achievement.  I'm sure it took me six months of on and off playing to get to level cap.

There are so many things in Legion I can't wait to try out, the new dungeon systems when it comes to challenge mode, pvp overhaul, artifact weapons, raids and lore quests.

I'm really looking forward to the lore involved with Legion across all of the game. I'm really pleased each class has their own separate lore story and then an over-arcing story will be in the zones as usual.

One of my most fondest memories was back in Wrath and it was the generally the first time ever WoW had a cut scene in a quest, and the questline itself was of such epic proportion and that is The Battle at Wrath Gate and the Battle of Undercity, both of those quests were amazing!

As a long time pvper, I am looking forward to the new prestige system, even if I wonder how well that is going to work with alts. Grinding the prestige thing is going to be fun the first time, but it could become tiring if you have to grind the entire thing on every single character.

Additionally my main class, paladin, is getting awesome artifacts, although I confess I am worried that sering every Ret paladin with Ashbringer might well get on my nerves quickly. I'm considering not playing that spec at all just for that.

I started playing WoW back in beta and enjoyed it throughout and up to WotLK.  I took a break shortly after Cata came out and came back this year for the end of Warlords of Draenor.  I guess I'm looking forward to all the change in store for Legion.  I anticipate that this might be one of the last WoW expansions left and would love to close out an this decade long game in style.

It's come a long way from Vanilla with some improvements and changes.  I think it's still got some runway left before it fade out though.  Hopefully Legion does not disappoint the masses.

I'm looking forward to the revamped leveling/zone system. I can't wait to decided what zone to be in at what level I currently am at. Also to see how the newly established lore from Chronicles fits into the story of Legion. All in all I think this will be a great expansion and can't wait to play.

The artifacts are my fuel to play the game on live. I almost have 7 characters on 100 just because of the artifacts but iam concerned about the ability pruning thats happening in legion.

I am really excited for pretty much everything.

The new class, the new talents, the artifacts, the scaling leveling system (which I hope they extend over the older zones as well).

So much new stuff.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
