Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I started playing this game at the end of BC and have made many friends as well as having a heck of a lot of fun killing pixels together.  biggrin.png

My first guild master said to me one day he thinks Wow is a social experiment because you have old, young, and a lot of different cultures and backgrounds with one goal on raid nights and most of the time everyone works well together. Wouldn't it be nice if that could happen in real life too?

I'm looking forward to the next expansion for more fun and meeting new people of course.

Looking forward to "analyzing" Legion beta sim dps rankings, picking the highest dps spec based on said sims, rerolling from my current class, failing miserably at said spec, rerolling again two months into the expac, quitting because im behind, coming back in the last raid tier of Legion, picking up a random alt, gearing up, doing well in raids and waiting for the next expac. Just like I have been doing since MoP.

I'm very excited for Legion overall. I think Blizzard has honestly learned from errors in previous expansions, and genuinely listened to players' feedback. The playstyle seems old-school, like Burning Crusade, or even Lich King. The talent tree system for the Artifact weapons reminds me of how it had been in vanilla. I do honestly believe Blizzard has learned from feedback, and listened to what the players want. I think this is the expansions that revives World of Warcraft.

Thing I am mainly looking forward to is the PvP changes, and especially to trying out the healing classes for PvP.  Can't wait to see what they add to the lore too.

Looking forward to play as a melee class with all the new and improved animations and particle effects in legion. The talent design also looks way more interesting.

I'm absolutely looking forward to being able to play Demon Hunter, it was my favourite class from WC3 and the visuals are incredible. I'm hoping we get to fight Sargeras in some form and maybe even lose.

Really looking forward to the raids in Legion. I really hope their are more than just 3 raids throughout the whole expansion and the quality of those raids outclass the ones in warlords

I'm really excited for the new class changes and the artifact system. I've played Paladin all of the years I have played WoW (except for Siege of Orgrimmar, played Brewmaster) and I'm really excited to see the new changes- not just to Paladin, but all of the classes. Also have to mention the lore- looking forward to seeing the story!

I've played Blizzard games since I was 4 but didn't start WoW until Wrath of the Lich King, I spent most of my time just leveling, learning the game, did battlegrounds, nothing to hardcore. One of my favorite moments in WoW that was recent was during Blackrock Foundry, we were progressing on Heroic Blackhand (pre-nerfs), and we kept wiping over and over, and on one of our attempts, everyone died except our rogue. The boss had 2% left and he evasion-tanked the boss and killed it, was extremely funny! But doing anything with my guild in WoW is probably what I have most fun doing.

Can't wait for Legion and Warcraft movie!!!!!

As someone who has been a long standing player. I am anticipating Legion. I cannot wait to wield an artifact weapon. I haven't PvP'd much since Burning Crusade, but with the new honor system I am going to be focusing on it more than ever.

Lastly, Illidan is my main man, besides Arthas!

I have been playing WoW since vanilla. This has been my go to game since i was a kid, i have enjoyed all aspects of the game PvE and PvP. I do like how they have developed it so far and i cant wait for some of the changes in legion. I am really looking forword to the changes coming to all the casting/melee animations and the new revamped pvp/honor system. I think it will be amazing if they do it right, and a great way to add in some bonus cosmetic stuff for the artifact weapons. I cant wait to get into the Legion Alpha/Beta and actually get to try some of my favorite classes out.

I started playing in WoD, using my boyfriends account since we only have one computer anyway. I fell in love with the leveling and all the zones I came to pass. I first tried an undead Hunter but didn't like wow, my boyfriend tried again and I played a blood elf Hunter and learned more efficiently the second time around. I never knew of raiding or pvp and dungeons really until my guild helped me out. They had an alt and noob raid night to help new people get into the raiding scene and to experience the content. Perhaps so they could get better for their core mythic group too. I always love the community in wow, they are so helpful. I love the lore but am a bit lost right now since I never followed the story well enough. I also love collecting mounts and pets for the account. I enjoy when I get a hard earned mount and my Boyfriend praises me for getting it and he gets to show off to his friends.

My boyfriend has been playing since 2009,on and off. He loves to pvp and enjoys pvping with his online and real life friends. He enjoyed wotlk raiding as well for the mechanics and aesthetics.

As for legion, he enjoys the new pvp system and new arenas. He hopes there will be more bg maps as well. As for me, I am enjoying the lore more. I'm excited for the redo on hunters but not a fan on the aesthetics of titanstrike. I do love all the other artifacts. I just started a demo warlock because of it and would like to experience another class. I just have to get to level 100.

I am looking forward to the raiding and being able to play a demon hunter. The artifacts are also awesome. I enjoyed playing a hunter in pvp in the past!

I am most looking forward to the new artifact system. It will make having a lot of alts fun again and add a ton of lore to each class/spec. What I liked in the past was the entire MoP expansion as it developed new lore and gave us a fully fleshed out Garrosh. The true leader of the horde :^)

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
