Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I am looking forward to the changes to dungeons (challenge) and warlock spec changes. My favorite memories are of healing as a shaman during the launch of cataclysm and the challenging heroics (pre-nerf) - the challenge was very fun and rewarding when you got a good group. I also fondly remember raiding MC/BWL with friends/roommates; yelling at each other; drinking beers! I also enjoy reading the class guides on this site! (sucking up doesn't hurt, right??)

I'm mostly excited for the new legendaries and personally can't wait to see the first one drop. As for my fondest memory it has to be when I entered my first dungeon Shadowfang keep and after that I just parked my character outside so I could summon for the next runs. I think I did that dungeon for 2 weeks straight cause I didn't like quests

I look forward to a new, fresh prospering wow. They are bringing back many elements and change is good. The new PvP system seems like it will work flawlessly. I look forward to watching new players prosper, and watch them strive to get better with the PvP change it makes it seem more fair and balanced.

Also the wardrobe feature is amazing. See you all in Azeroth.

Looking foward to many things coming in Legion but here are my top 3 - Getting out of the alternate universe and back into the main timeline.  We've got old gods, Demon Hunters, the EMERALD DREAM.  i mean how long have people been asking for that?? - Class overhauls.  Being a player since Vanilla, I've played every class pretty extensively and i really felt quite a few of them needed some massive changing. Being pretty melee exclusive player, I'm specifically looking forward to the WW monk and Fury warrior changes - Challenge mode dungeons.   While i always end up in the raid scene,  I am really looking forward to small group content to enjoy with my 4 other buddies that is going to be both challenging AND rewarding. My favorite memory from WoW would have to be back in vanilla when i started raiding Molten Core and finally received a Perditions Blade.  was smiling for weeks

As someone who doesn't do much PvP I can't wait for the new PvP talents and honor system. I think this is a long time coming, and may very well be what I need to get into PvP and finish all of those achievements.

The enhance shaman rework looks awesome as well. I can't wait for the resource changes, instead of always having infinite mana.

I started back in WotLK and what excited me then was all the Story available and the complex gameplay. What I'm hopeful Legion will deliver is the continuation of an Epic Fantasy along with a gameplay complex enough to be worthy of the level 110 that we are going to be.

I can't wait to play with all my favorite classes in their revamped state: Surv Hunter, Spriest, Disc priest, rogues of all specs.

Just a ton of new fresh content!

Legion has a lot of things to offer, however the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the new raiding content and a new class to experience tanking with. I look forward to tanking with my Death Knight and the new Demon Hunter to experience the challenges as a unstoppable wall of death and a whirlwind of demonic fury.

WoD saw my transition from LFR groupie to 9/13 Mythic Blood DK (hopefully 13/13 by the end). It saw my guild grow from a group of work mates struggling to get enough pugs to progress normal Highmaul to being able to adjust our mythic composition on the fly with a variety of skilled players and classes. It has entirely changed the way I play wow and has seen us slowly catching some of the high end guilds on the server. Legion offers a chance to start on equal footing with them and strive by be number 1 (or realistically maybe number 3)

My favourite moment in the game has to be the death of Deathbringer Saurfang. I was Alliance at the time and King Varian putting aside the tensions between the two factions, allowing a father to grieve was a strong emotional point that I will always remember.

Also, shout out to Scourge invasion at end of BC.

I've been playing Blood DK since the spec began and my fondest memories from WoW were back in Wrath, chilling at level 79, and just doing casual BGs all day. (I never leveled to 80 because I didn't want to regear.) I am stoked that Tanks are finally being made relevant in PvP. I'm hoping to enter Beta primarily to give feedback on PvP Tanks.

I'd like to see them become support specs that enhance either team offense or defense, able to accomplish the roles of healers or dps through powerful utility as opposed to raw damage or healing.

However, their major abilities would make them vulnerable (such as a Blood DK using a portion of his health to inflict a Mortal Strike effect on an enemy) in order to compensate for their above average survivability and provide opponents with viable counterplay.

Ultimately, the identity of a Tank as the self-sacrificing frontline of a party should be as true in PvP as PvE.

I can't wait to see what changes are actually implemented in game. I try not to read into them too much, I love the surprise. However I have looked into the transmog system a bit and I am very excited to empty my bags and banks for a change.

I'm mostly looking forward to the new questing areas and the new class. Maybe a little bit to the end-content too. But I'm not big into raiding anymore, so we'll see

I'm looking forward to check the class changes, the class protagonism they're giving to each class, artifact weapons and OFC DH. I'm sure Legion will put WoW on TOP

Having a wardrobe will be great in Legion especially for Xmog. Blizzard are taking note of other games and modifying it for WoW. Less bank space taken up by gear you want to keep for Xmog. I like the lore of the game and how it develop through it expansion. The dungeons, raids,  pvp spaces and quests exist because there is lore behind it. You may not read it or all of it, but that's why it's there

I am most looking forward to trying out new class mechanics in Legion and had the most fun playing in BC because it felt like I never ran out of things to do.

I'm looking forward to Legion, the changes so far seem great, can't wait for the artifact weapons .My main character is a warlock, so seeing him wielding the scythe artifact weapon is gonna be awesome. Although, not so happy about taking metamorphosis from demonology spec, but still curious about how demonology will be played.

Legion is probably the best add-on since Wrath of the Lich King. I can't wait to see the invasion of the Burning Legion (maybe we can finally see Sargeras?).I always enjoyed PvP in WoW, especially in TBC and WotLK. I hope that Legion can make PvP more balanced with the new stats and item system

I started playing WoW since WOTLK, and since then I really enjoyed playing World Of Warcraft. Right now I raid and pvp alot, currently 7/13 Mythic in Hellfire Citadel.I really miss more content to the game, and can't wait for Legion to be out. What I really look forward in Legion is the lore, dungeons, and of course raids. The new PVP system is very interresting to me aswell, and will make me do more than usual pvp, but I will always remain a PVE fanboy, there is nothing in WoW that satisfiy me more in WoW than killing the boss you've been trying to hard to kill. Can't wait for Legion. Keep up your good work and thanks for providing me with so much knowledge, especially to my classes.Regards, Scryfire

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
