Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

As always, I look forward to the expansion bringing back all my friends and buffing up my realms raiding population. Every since me and my crew found this website, we've upped our game and really enjoyed progressing through difficult content.

oh, and I wanna double jump over people while were waiting for a pull timer.

I'm really looking forward to playing a Demon Hunter, the flavor of the class has intrigued me since WC3.  The pvp overhaul is also pretty interesting, even though I'm not much of a pvper.  That being said, I'm most interested in seeing how they're going to handle the story.  Illidan is one of the best characters lore-wise.  There's got to be some kind of interaction with him, Tyrande, and Malfurion and I can't wait to see it

Not going to lie, I'm probably most excited about testing out Rogue. Considering it's one of my favorite classes in the game, I can't wait to see how the new changes feel for myself. The new X-Mog system is also something I've been wanting to take a gander at. In reality, I think Legion looks amazing all around so getting the chance to to do some beta testing would be amazing

I remember back in vanilla, I wrote on the battle.net forums. I suggested that Blizzard should add the Demon Hunter class. I had played the Warcraft III campaign, and thought Illidan was really cool, and I would love to play demon hunter. Now it is finally going to be possible after 10 long years of waiting! I can't wait to reroll demon hunter any more!

I'm looking forward to the new PVP system and progression through artifact weapons. Also... Demon hunters! Been playing since WC3 and Illidan was always my favorite character.

I'm looking forward to the Demon Hunters the most, ever since I played as Illidan in Warcraft 3 I wanted to play one in WoW and seeing them in-game during The Burning Crusade gave me hope that they will be added as a playable class some day and that they aren't forgotten, happy to see that I was not wrong. Even though there are a few things in the current WoW that I really dislike and disagree with the developers on, to the point where I went on my first ever (short) break from WoW, the introduction of the Demon Hunter class and the return of Illidan, among other features that are more than welcome (Wardrobe & Artifacts), has restored my faith in their decisions and the future of the game. I have not been this excited for a new expansion since Wrath of the Lich King, which is to this day my most favorite expansion. With Legion coming up, however, I can't help but feel like the top spot will change very soon. I'd have to say my fondest memory of WoW would be the Night Elf -> Stormwind run in Classic WoW. I've had many great moments with my guildies over the years, and met people that I'll most likely never forget, but the feeling of a long and rewarding adventure such as that is just an unforgettable experience and no other game or activity has ever managed to capture that same feeling of being in this huge and dangerous world. Absolutely cannot wait for Legion to launch and getting to test it out and help Blizzard create something amazing would be an honor.

I'm levelling a druid just for Legion. Cat form looks awesome! I love WoWs lore, even though it can be silly sometimes. Reliving old lore moments is what brings me back to the game whenever I am tired of raiding.

In the past I've been a heavy raider, heavily into pvp at times and an achievement/item collector all along. It's looking like in legion I'm going to have to cut back a little, so I'm really interested in what there's going to be as an aside to the heavy stuff, how the game looks like it's going to be when approached in a more casual fashion than what I'm used to. As well as dipping my toe in the different avenues I already mentioned I want to see how the scaling is on the older content, it may sound weird but I enjoy doing old raids and I'm itching to test the limits of what's possible at the new cap.

I'm most excited for the graphical updates to combat. I was watching Towelliee stream the alpha, and it looks like a new game. A fresh coat of paint can really liven up a room, even if said room is going on 12 years old

The most exciting implementations in Legion for me would have to be the artifact system and the wardrobe. Obtaining the legendary weapons, learning about the lore behind them, and working to unlock their traits sounds like a blast. Having the ability to transmog and have those items stored in a much more convenient, user-friendly way will really compel me to continue farming sets I otherwise would have given up on. The fondest memories for me in this game all revolve around the friends I've made, and the experiences we've shared. Questing and raiding with people I would have never met otherwise is an experience I wouldn't trade for anything. Here's to the future of Icy Veins and the future of WoW.

Been along time wow player, good old vanilla beta and those rogue's with shields ><. Out of all the years your guys site has been the best one yet and an avid user of you guides.    What I look forward to in Legion is the story, always have been a fan of the story of the game.  Artifacts seem OP but gonna be great, class halls from what I've seen are going to be beautiful.  Also I love love love what they're doing with some of the classes, makes me what to play all over again. Congratz on the 5 year anniversary guys

I am most excited about the PVP system being introduce in Legion. It will give me more reason to play BGs and PVP even after I get my gear. The things that I am worried are pretty much summed up in this post. http://us.battle.42944716?page=1 Itworries me that people are going to lose interests due to classes not being much unique from one an other. My best memory of WoW would have to be being Alliance and going into Under City elevators with a buddy of mine and us 2v5+ horde in there for a few hours.

Personally, I'm looking forward to riding Malfurion. If I can't have Illidan, his brother will do just fine. What I have enjoyed however is the ever-growing history and fan base for WoW and the upcoming patch - always fun to see the interesting discussions that come about

Everything I've seen from Alpha so far looks so sleek and sophisticated. I'm so excited to try the new content, and it's kind of refreshing to see such drastic changes going on, especially if you've played for years like I have. It keeps the game interesting.  I'm REALLY excited to play around with the new transmogrification system. It's already great but. :3

My favourite memory from WoW would have to be in cata, when I was near the PvP vendors and was doing random bgs. I was full geared and had no guild, so someone asked if I'd like to do bgs with them and invited me to the guild. I met my partner from those bgs, and it was my first guild I'd been in that felt like a community.

Another memory was when at the start of WoD, my partner and a friend of ours joined a new guild to raid in. Most of the people in the guild didn't know each other, and we were a 3 night raid group, however we ended up raiding for 5 nights in a row when Highmaul came out because we all loved it so much. Our guild is still together, however we're taking a break until Legion and we're all excited smile.png

One of the things I'm excited about is trying out all the classes to see how they feel, and how they've changed. Also excited to hit the new raids with my guild, and hopefully start a pvp group with them to try out the new pvp system smile.png

(plus I love Sylvanas and I'm excited for her development!)

Oh boy, where do I start. I play wow for all the aspects of the game. I raid, pvp and enjoy doing other content such as dailies and questing, sometimes grinding to some extent. I've read everything i can so far about Legion and Overall I'm very excited to play, WoD has been killing me.For PvE content,  Leveling my Artifact sounds like it'll be a lot of fun, I hope it's not TOO grindy but I can take it. I think that Artifacts are going to be really interesting (And it'll be great to not have to fight over weapons.) It seems like they're really gonna make classes more interesting, while right now it seems that classes are really lacking and dull. I would know, I have almost everything maxed and decently geared except for a shaman. It seems like blizzard is really trying to make the game fun again, because lets face it, WoD is definitely missing out on some fun. I'd kill to see a 10man version of mythic because 20 is a little rough sometimes. I also raid on every single one of my toons, I main a frost dk atm. Really miss my holy pally but it's so damn boring now that I even switched to prot/ret instead of holy/ret, but I digress.I would really like to see a return of gem slots, I really dislike that they kind of just took them away, As someone who raids constantly I've only had like 20 pieces of gear that has gem slots on them. (excluding lfr garbage.) For PvP content. For all of MoP I pvped daily, like 300 arenas a day kinda thing. Loved it, had a lot of fun, classes were interesting, versatile and for the most part balanced. (at least better than they are now.) I'm really liking what they're doing with the prestige system for battlegrounds. It's definitely needed a revamp for a really long time and I'm glad they're going that way with it. I'm also liking that they're introducing pvp specific talents that they had previously removed from the game. The one thing I REALLY wish blizzard would do though, is completely remove the human racial. If you look at rankings right now in 2s, 3s, and 5s all the best players are Humans. And I mean it. All of them, it's sad. And if that means they need to get rid of the undead racial that breaks fears, go for it.Lets talk about questing. in MoP i had a lot of fun questing, in WoD I was very disappointed. The lack of even end game questing qas kind of sad, and I actually miss having a bunch of different dailies instead of just a very small select few. I also absolutely do not think we should have to grind currency like apexis ever again. That was hell. Tanaan was one of the worst things I have ever experienced. The zones themselves were beautiful. Except for Frostfire, (But I generally don't like frozen wastelands myself.) I will admit I feel cheated as a horde player, My garrison was a shabby rundown hut compared to allianced miniature town that looked astonishing. Really took out some of the fun because I like things that look appealing. Transmog. So excited for this new transmog system, All of my bank slots are full on all of my characters and I really don't like using void storage. I'm gonna have almost every piece of plate in the game along with most weapons. I do wish they would add a dying system, but hey one thing at a time right?Professions are in dire need of a rework, I haven't really been keeping tabs on what they're doing with professions in legion, but I'm hoping they're doing something about it.Overall, (yes, I know finally almost done.) I really think that Legion will be great, I'm hoping it brings back a lot of players because right now, WoW is feeling a little dead and even as someone who thoroughly enjoys wow, I find it hard to play right now. (even though I had a lot of fun even to the end of mop.) WoD felt half done, It seems like they're really putting their time and effort into Legion though. <3 Van

I'm Cleftmoose's sister and I'm so looking forward to Legion, a beta key would give me something else to focus on (instead of trudging around with thoughts of my incurable cancer ). It would be wonderful to continue the Warcraft story, even though I'm pretty rubbish at DPS I try my best Whoohoo Legion.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
