Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I love how WoW has changed over the years to accommodate me (semi casual gamer).  I looking forward to more new content while continuing to be able to maintain a balance between real life and my love for the lore and fun of the game

I'd have to say I'm looking forward to exploring a new continent, and raid zones, and finally getting to fight Gul'Dan.  I'm also looking forward to the removal of the two spec limit and being free to swap between all specs -- though I'm not totally sold on the cost to change spec and the gating behind artifacts. Fondest memory?  For solo play it would be defeating Kanrethad shortly after the Black Harvest scenario became available and being one of the first Warlocks on the server with green fire.  As far as group play goes it would definitely be progression on the Lich King, and finally getting him down. There are things I miss about earlier years, a lot of stuff I wish I could experience for the first time again.but the great thing about a new expac is getting that feeling once again.

Honestly, I started in MoP so I don't have many things that I want back in the game, but as for what's in store for Legion I am pretty hyped! There are some changes to classes that I already play that feels nice - melee paladin healing comes to mind. As for what I'm not as used to playing, there's also a lot of new stuff that looks really fun, such as the new mastery and combo system to windwalker monks (please be competitive!!), the suicide talent for shadow priests, DK's arctifacts that look REALLY cool all around for every spec.

For the artifacts, I just really hope that alts aren't gated way too hard on it or at least get a catch-up mechanic a bit later in the expansion - such as the quests we have now for the legendary highmaul and blackrock foundry stages.

I really liked WoW for the crafting, MMO PvP such as wintergrasp and tol barad and for transmog. I'm really looking forward to the new transmog features to clear up bagspace and be able to view items and mix and match easier. However the most i'm looking forward to is the new PvP system and class rebalance. I really want the game to go back to its roots with classes and specs actually feeling different from eachother.

I hope they bring the MMO part of the game back, seeing as how almost everything is instanced.  I remember being part of a guild called <Ages> in the tich vanilla days, competing with other guilds for azuregos and kazzak taps. The game really had a sense of community then and I really feel that it was lost somewhere along the way. Maybe legion will bring it back?

I'm super keen for there to actually be a decent community in the game again, I feel class order halls and a neutral major city will help the game so much. Not to mention Demon Hunter's, it feels like forever that I have been waiting for this class.I believe Legion may bring back the game I know and love

Hoping they pay more attention to interesting characters and actual story telling this time around, WoD was lacking.

More 5 man content would be a nice bonus too.

And lastly looking forward to outlaw rogues!

I am really looking forward to how the new weapon structure will work and as for the past, I really enjoyed hanging out in Org before the Cataclysm ripped the world apart. Also, I am pleased to see that the collectors edition mount is a land mount, and not a flying mount that was cool yet useless in the new zones.

The Artifact Weapon system is the thing that interests me most because of the dedication it allows you to put into your weapon, also the new pvp system.

Some background, played through Vanilla, quit before TBC. Tried the game at the beginning of Wotlk but quit relatively fast. Skipped Cataclysm and Pandaria and have lately been playing WoD reluctantly.Do you guys think that there is any chance Blizzard would attempt to bring back some of the immersion that was in Vanilla? The game feels so hollow at the moment, far too laid back - it requires for the most part no focus or trying. I find it very hard to feel immersed in the game at its current state. It would be fun if the normal game would offer a general level of difficulty as in Vanilla, and I'm not talking about Mythic raiding. I'm talking about normal mobs, leveling. Aggro, dying to mobs that were higher lvl. Being able to kill everything without ever having to worry about dying just makes it dull, dull and dull. Why won't Blizz just look at what made the game so popular and go back to roots? Most fun I ever had in this game back in the day was the feeling of exploration, achievement by getting better gear. Genuine world pvp, oh yes. Ganking was fun too, because it added a level of challenge. Don't want to get killed? You had better gear up and get some skill. Crossroads, Duskwood, STV, Tarren Mill, Tyr's hand. Give me back some of that. Organizing attacks against enemy cities? Simply great. There's also no longer any chatting going on, it's like playing a single-player game. In short, back to roots please. What you had it was golden, and it would be so great to have some of that again in Legion. Also, congratz to icy-veins and cheers to all the mages out there.

What i'm looking forward to most about Legion is the 5 man progression possibilities. Not HAVING to raid to progress is a great option. Really like the look of the changes, very excited

As of most people I am extremely excited for Legion. What am I most excited about though? Well besides EVERYTHING, I am very excited to try out shadow priests. In my opinion shadow priests have needed something like this for a long time now and we are finally getting it. The only thing that I'm worried about for Legion is that there is so many changes happening (for the better) that it might take me a while to learn how to play the game again but all in all I know it's going to be awesome.

Im looking forward to so many things in legion, the artifacts, the new pvp system, the leveling (i always love leveling in new expansions) New dungeons and raids, all of that stuff. WoW currently in my eyes with WoD has obviously been on a decline, even though i have enjoyed WoW from a PVE and raiding standpoint this expansion everything else has felt not very fun, what little content outside of raiding their has been in WoD. That being said i love the game so ill be with it through thick and thin and i certainly do think that legion will bring alot of players back, The legion content looks so amazing and i really hope it is. Ive been in the past few beta test for WoW and i love testing the content. My fondest memory of WoW would be when i first starting playing back in mid BC, i started out as a night elf druid and me and my brother were trying to make our way to stormwind.we were level 12 and needless to say it didn't go well, when we got to the wetlands we ended up behind attacked by a roving gang of murlocs and we died.we pretty much gave up and just ended up hearthing back to darnassus to level xD But any ways, i honestly would love to be in the beta because i love this game so much and i love whenever i can be part of its development so im eager to get into alpha/beta to help make it turn out great

i don't think i've looked forward to anything so much since transmog was actually added to the game. i need to empty out all my toon's banks/bags/void storage, and having access to all my previous quest items is going to be awesome. also, being shown how many mogs you have and how many you can still get is going to keep me a happy mog hunter for a while

I'm REALLY looking forward to the new demon hunter. The mobility on the new hero class looks amazing!

My favorite moment in wow, without a doubt was when the raid I was leading downed Ragnaros for the first time. Hearing 40+ people go buck wild in vent was something I'll never forget. Good times!

Most probably going to change my main spec to something I would of never thought I would do, I am just afraid that if I do and it turns out I do not enjoy that class as much as I have seen it played then it will be difficult to keep up with others after a reroll. Would like the opportunity to play it and feel it before I would like to decide. Also pvp is a completely new concept to me as I thought if you don't start early in other expansions you are gimped but everyone on a level playing field in terms of gear in legion? Sign me up

I'm looking foward to trying out all the new class redesigns and those good looking artifacts wink.png. The wardrobe feature though looks amazing.

Fondest wow moment would be doing the WoD challenge mode dungeons. It was super fun doing them with friends.

There are many many aspects to Legion i am looking forward to. The new lore surrounding new and even old heroes coming in. Origination lore is always amazing too. I cannot forget the class order halls, Artifacts, class updates, demon hunters especially. Its going to be an amazing expansion and Im looking forward to the journey.

My best memory of World of Warcraft is my first ever on game event and that was the scourge invasion before Wrath of the Lich King launched. I had a blast during that event. Especially turning into a ghoul. It was a very funny moment in the game for me and I never forget it.

Happy Anniversary Icy Veins!

My favorite moments, so far in WoW, have been all the moments that I have shared with my friends and Family raiding and just mucking around.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
