Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

100% without a doubt I'm most looking forward to the new transmog system.  Been filling my banks with transmog gear, running out of room ><

Best memory of WoW in the past?  Probably in TBC, killing M'uru the week before the patch that nerfed him.

I'm looking forward to Legion. Why?

Well lets beginn in the early of my WoW Career in 2005. WoW Vanilla... I got my own Account and started to level up to 60 as a Hunter. During my leveling, the Hunter feeled really like a Hunter. Not like an Mage or Priest or whatever.

You have to care about your Pet and to some RPG stuff. Well these features has been removed and so the feeling of this Character also left. You are now a Range-damage Dealer  with a Pet...

After release of Catacylsm, the feeling of each character has been removed. You are just a "Tank, DD or Healer or a DD with a Pet".

In Legion they told they will focus again on this. Your Class should be feeling like this Class. (I hope you know what I mean) I'm really looking forward to this!

The best thing happend? My old Guild in Vanilla. Cathgaming (EU-Kargath) - Really nice place and so many nice people. Its bad they didnt survived the release of Burning Crusade...

Also my first Encounter with Nefarian as a Hunter and suddenly I couldn't shoot anymore... I hated Nefarian so much xD

AAAND my epic Hunter-only Staff, Bow and quiver of Vanilla (I'm still using them as Transmog / Bag).

The thing I'm looking forward to the most? Definitely the artifacts. There are some awesome weapons in Warcraft lore that we have just never had access to as players cause they're too powerful or whatever other reason. Can't wait to finally get some of those.

I think my favorite memories are from back in vanilla when every new zone was new and exciting. I remember one time I ran north along the eastern shore of Hinterlands all the way around to the north side of the map. I found a spot where you could climb up where you weren't supposed to and found a spot north of EPL that was just huge perfectly flat areas with the occasional enormous sheer drop.

I am really excited to see what blizzard has in store for us in legion. with the new demon hunter class coming out it is the hopes that more people will play that class, but what blizzard fails to relize is that people like me like to play ranged and if your bringing in a new hunter class you should have a ranged specialization included with that class, melee is good and all don't get me wrong but it is just not for some people. on another note, i have a lvl 100 warlock and really hope that they stick to the lore of the legion and warlocks and hope they play with he warlock class a little more because warlocks and the legion kinda go together....lol

This sounds really great! I recently came back to WoW after taking an extended break in 2008, and have enjoyed leveling my accounts in WoD so far. For me, I really want to explore the lore featured in Legion. I won't comment on too much since I felt a bit impatient and looked at some spoilers from people who have accessed the Alpha but so far I'm super hyped! I especially adore the Demon Hunters and their story (and Illidan of course), so a chance to take part in the beta would allow me some early access on all this juicy lore, as well as the class! I've never been too involved with PvP but the idea of talents as opposed to specific armour sets is truly appealing to me; that a persons performance is based on their ability and talent, not just grinding to get the highest set. All in all, Legion looks like an insanely fun and interesting expansion, I just can't wait! :)

So many things to look forward to!

First and foremost came back at the end of WoD after playing heavily through Wrath and dabbling in Cata.

Love my new mage and the early Alpha feedback on Aracane.  I have become a transmog freak and excited about that new system.

Most of all, just very excited to be involved in an expansion from the get go.  I haven't been a "part of the community" for the beginning of a new expansion since Wrath.

Great Stuff!

I Pre-ordered Legion a while back just to find out that I'm deploying before release, so Im going to have to wait for a while before I can play Legion. It would be absolutely amazing if I would be able to play before I deployed so I can try all of the new features

Arcane returning to a style similar to what it was like in BC or Wrath is exciting. Being able to use mana as fuel to burn on command whenever it's necessary instead of being locked into only during cooldown use is exciting.

I am really excited to see the many changes on classes with artifacts, prunes and mechs tweaks. I really hope enhacement shamans and ret pallys r doing competitive dps on the charts and the change with prot pallys from holy power to the charge system didn't brake it.

Can't wait to test the new expansion!

I came back to WoW for Warlords of Draenor after not playing for 3 years and wondered why I'd ever left.  I'm really excited for Legion, because DEMON HUNTERS! and all of the lore.  It will be fun to hang out in Dalaran again and I'm looking forward to the class changes.  It will be nice for each of the class specs to be more unique.

Most of my favorite WoW memories involve raiding or drunken PvP on an off-night.  The guild has taken most of WoD off but vows to be back for Legion, so I cannot wait for it to get here!

I'm really excited for the new Prestige system in PvP, as I've been an avid RBGer and 3s participant since Wrath. The new system of PvP-centric talents is also going to add another level to combat.

Gotta love the artifact druid forms. Bears with fist-weapons? Cats with daggers? Brilliant~

I'm so hyped for Legion. I am really looking forward to the artefact weapons and think that they will be more interesting to level up than the WoD perks.

It will be interesting to see how the whole talent system with pvp talents work. I have not done much pvp of late and I hope this will get me excited for pvp once again.

I just wanted to say how much I love this sit. I am here a lot checking out all the guides and must say you have done an excellent job on them. Looking forward to following what you do in Legion!!

So where do I even start to begin. World of warcraft along side every other Blizzards game has been such a large piece of my life. I have gained so many friends and great memories and stories, which none I will ever forget.I can't say I have played Wow since the start but I started right at the peak with Wrath of the Lich King. I can't even start to explain how excited and ready for Legion I'am every aspect of the expansion has be ready to start the next chapter in this world I call my second home. So even If I get a peak at what's to come I will be more the extatic. I'm looking forward most to anything is all the great times and the new stories I will come to know and love when me and my friends step foot on this new land.

My favourite moments are probably vanilla. leveling my Tauren Hunter through the barrens while being home "sick". The game wasn't really a game. It was a real world where you could connect with thousands of people and have a great time.

WoW has been apart of my life for over 10 years. I've met great people who've become great friends. If it wasn't for those people I would've quit 8 years ago. The game also helped me through a though time in high school and even still helps me feel good when we kill that insane boss or get that one item you wanted so badly.

So what do I look forward to in Legion?

It's not the new zones, artifact systems or class changes. But the idea of playing together with my buddies and just do dumb stuff, losing myself in this new area. That's what I'm looking forward the most to.

Also, good luck everyone! :D

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
