Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm really looking forward to the reintroduction of a melee survival hunter, and the general diversification of all the classes. Since the removal of the complex talent tree, I have felt like all specs are sort of the same for every class, with a very limited playstile difference. I'm glad to see some much needed change around here!
I've always been a PVE kind of guy, but the new prestige system has begun to peak my interest in trying PVP, so that's another thing to look forward to.
I hope that the zone overarching quest system remains from Draenor, as that way by far the most exciting feature of the entire expansion. Definitely can't wait to give it a try! Good luck to all others entering, and thank you Icy Veins (especially you Blainie *3*)

I'm really looking forward to the changes made to Balance druid, the newly revamped Outlaw Rogue and Demonology Warlock and of course the Demon Hunters themselves. I can't wait to be able to experience it all!

Some of my fondest memories come from the times I had with the people I met in my current guild. We've gone beyond being just raid team members, and become real friends. This is what really draws me to WoW still, and has in the past

I'm waiting for legion for a lot of reasons.. But most of all i'm really curious about the pvp system and the two new arenas.. They seem to be so much fun in the alpha.. I have a lot of very astonishing memories on my rogue.. And subtlety looks really strong and visually awesome that i cannot wait.. Altough i also have a lot of interest in the new istances and dungeon features... Because i heard a lot of rumors about them returning a really important part of the game, not only in the beginning of the expansion.. I'm really lolking forward to it.. It makes me remind af all the good times i had back in wotlk.. Cmon legion..

I hope in Legion, we have fun while we go after our goals. The artifacts have been a great idea because it will give the chance of using the same weapon as our favorite heroes.

The overhauled dungeon challenge system, the new PvP system, the artifacts, the lore. It seems like they're doing it right this xpac. Would love to be able to try it out before its live

I'm really exited about the artifact weapons in legion as they seem to be an interesting way of bringing new mechanics into the game. I'm also looking forward to the changes they are making to affliction warlocks as they currently seem a bit meh on live. Overall I didnt like Warlords a lot, but I really like the changes they are making in legion and im sure a lot of you guys do aswell. I enjoyed playing my main a lot more in MoP, and im currently uncertain about what my main will be in legion. That is also the reason I want this beta key, so I can test and figure out what to play  My fondest memory in WoW must be the first time I went to Howling Fjord (as a lvl 13). I still remember the epic music while taking the boat to the first quest hub

Super excited to see how Suramar City turns out! Hopefully it'll be a vibrant, pretty, and fun city, but most of all I hope that it's big! WoW needs a big city to explore!

WoW had been evolving alot in the 11 years i've been playing. The class I have the most expectations is Priest with the many changes they made.  Disc seems to be back with the sic dps heal atonement that i enjoyed when they were considered like a support class doing almost as much dps then a dps class and u can switch and focus on healing when needed.  Shadow was good/ok in MoP and before but in WODreanor they are kinda hard to play well. I've watched some posts and will try and make some myself if i get picked for the next Beta test about the SPriest and DiscPriest.  The locks, specially the demonology, looks sick and off course i'm gonna make myself a Demon hunter lol   Hope to see you all in the next Beta test :D

I'm mostly looking forward for the new Arms warrior. Its playstyle right now is lackluster and legion makes hit super fun. Also the artifact talents look super cool and bring more back into the game

Really looking forward to get a break from orcs and get a closer look at the elves of Suramar, and also the terrifying places of the Nightmare (N'zoth glimps maybe? ohmy.png ). Also looking forward to see how they do the new challenge modes. I'm really interested in those, and I hope they will be a success. Other than that, it will be interesting to see how the Artifact weapons will work out, and also the so-called "legiondaries". Hope they can make some attractive stuff to do in PvE outside raiding. Professions will also be very interesting to explore, since WoD professions are terrible. Can't wait for Legion to come out! biggrin.png

I'm really looking forward to the seemingly amazing art style in Legion, and exploring the world and making new friends throughout the x-pac!

My favorite moment in wow was back in MoP where me and a few friends in our guild would chill out and pvp all day, going around the world and killing people and rares (and not getting good drops)

Extremely hyped for Legion, especially after watching streams and seeing the quality of the dungeons. The dungeons in WoD were such a letdown and, given we're forced into spending so much time in them farming valor, its made it even worse. There's a whole list of other stuff I'm excited for too - Some of the crazy artifact effects (still looking forward to seeing the demo lock one when it gets added to alpha, even though I main a mage), the transmog revamp, being able to change talents so easily.  Can't wait to see more raid testing too, the bosses so far have been really different, so I have high hopes for the rest.

Really can't wait to explore the artifact weapons!

I'm such a big fan of Tirion Fordring, always dreaming of raiding with my Ash Bringer someday!

And here comes WOW: Legion !

The thing I most look forward is the talent trees in the wepaons. I think this might add a unique twist to each class much like vanilla when there were so many different specs. Ive been anxious for them to bring some individualism back into the game and seems like theyre doing just that

What I'm looking forward to the most in Legion is the revamped transmogrification system. As a *massive* transmog enthusiast the idea that I'll have my entire collection at my finger tips is just too good to be true. Then there's also that new "Essemble" thingy that's been popping up indicating both Plate and Mail users will get access to the Scarlet Chains set? Fantastic.  I've already started digging around for Legion armor models and stuff trying to scope out the next transmog set for my collections and my many, many alts. I'm extremely excited, Blizzard's artstyle has improved with every expansion

I'm super hype for Legion. I can barely go a day without spam checking my Youtube subscriptions for any hint of new information from the Alpha I might find intriguing!

My latest nugget of joy comes in the form of how well they've seemed to handle the warlock so far. Both Affliction and the brand new Demonology are joys to behold. As someone who spent the largest amount of their time in WoD playing a Demo lock, I feel qualified to say fear not your loss of Metamorphasis, believe me we're being well compensated for it! We're finally getting our demon army boys and girls.

I'm even more excited for Affliction, as that has always been my favorite Warlock spec but throughout the years I've just felt it didn't stack up to Demo and Destro--but man oh man does this new spec look promising. Taking the Sow the Seeds talent and getting that satisfying string of pops as multiple Seeds of Corruption detonate just sounds dreamy. Not to mention the artifact, and its mechanic--being able to cut down an escaping soul for a creamy buff. It gives the player a choice of when to achieve a true "moment of greatness" as all your passives are cranked up to 11 and the Unstable Affliction spam commences.

My favorite time in WoW was the Wrath expansion: the birth of Heroic raids! Specifically, the very first one, Ulduar. Never have I had as much fun as triggering those super encounters and testing my mettle. Legion, from a thematic standpoint, holds the most promise for me since that rose tinted time.

Can't wait for this expansion, and good luck to everyone (including myself ;p) hoping for a beta key!

I'm really looking forward to the new Shadow Priest design, I'm currently rolling with my priest as my main during WoD with Holy as my main spec but struggling to enjoy shadow as my OS especially since dotless CoP is just boring and demanding. So far though the changes I've seen from alpha are very promising unlike holy which seems to be taking a more direct healing strategy while using less powerful raid healing techniques to reduce the large CDs

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
