Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

To be fair, there is alot that I'm excited about in Legion. I personally am excited for the new transmog changes because it seems like the space they gave us for the void storage is very limited, and when you have to sell the gear it would just be lost forever. What I like about this new implimentation is how it will virtually save every piece of gear you ever aquired, even quest rewards that you didn't pick. Another thing I think would be great for Legion is the Demon Hunter hero class, which looks incredibly mobile with double jump, glyde, and even having the ability to see enimies through walls, overpowered is a word that would probably best describe it. Another thing I an also greatly looking forward to is the scaling of zones, this would be a very nice edition not only to Legion, but hopefully to the low level questing experience, that way new players won't be turned off by having to go through zones in a linear order, and would instead choose where they will want to go next. Lastly, what I am most looking forward to in Legion is the updated pvp system, because for a long time pvp has just been incredibly unbalanced with gear being the major factor of being good rather than just skill. With the new version of pvp being implimented, players will instead have a seperate talent tree designed for pvp, and will instead go through a prestige system leveling up their talents via experience bar. Which will reward greatly, even with the inclusion of a perstige rank badge next to your characters health information. I have been in the game since the middle of Mists of Pandaria, and although I never really encountered much, I would say that my fondest memory would be achieving the title from patch 5.3: Escalation, being a Horde player at the time, it was a really big deal as we made our first march on to Orgrimmar and claimed a title that can't be achieved anymore. I have also really appreciated the social aspect of the game and have made a decent ammount of friends from it, and I would really like to see how Blizzard will improve upon it in Legion.

What I'm looking forward in Legion: artifacts (duh), the new textures, models, quests (I recently finished the War of the Ancients books, so... LEGION HYPE), order halls... basically everything that's been said before, but mainly the revamped/updated specs. I'm seriously taken by all the new animations and, for example, Survival hunter now being a melee spec

Given that a warrior is my main, I'm glad we're getting the Valhalla, and the artifacts aren't too shabby either. And if I'm not mistaken, there's one skin (not sure if it's for warriors or rogues) for an artifact that looks a lot like Shalamayne, AKA Varian Wrynn's sword.

FOR AZEROTH!!

Been playing this game for 11 years, and Legion looks like it'll be keeping me around even longer.  I don't really like saying particular expansions are bad or anything, since each expansion has had something super cool in it for me.  Warlords has dragged on a bit, I'll say, but Legion's announcement and all the changes revealed so far has pulled so many of my friends back into the game. I'm pretty positive about any change Blizzard makes, but I feel Legion is bringing the most things I agree with out of all of the expansions.  Artifact weapons are sooo cool.  I've spent the majority of 6.2 just struggling to figure out which class and artifact I want to pursue first.  I bounced around from balance druid, to mistweaver monk, to disc priest, before I finally settled on a class that I always keep going back to: Mage.  The main reason for me is the arcane artifact.  Aegwynn was sort of someone I totally wanted to be in game.  I loved her lore, and she is easily my favorite mage in the game.  So hearing about the artifact belonging to her just made me so excited.  It greatly helps that every spec seems like they're only going to become even more fun in Legion, and I can't wait to complete at least two of the artifacts :3. What is really drawing me into Legion is how it seems they're really taking feedback to heart in the alpha.  It's very possible this was always happening, and I'm sure it has, but I feel I have never seen them more open about their design process and openly accepting any and all suggestions.  One thing in particular that really stood out was their recent decision to give marksmanship their pets back, and beast masters a way to focus on one beast instead.  To me, this is adding even more layers of choice and fun into a class, and it seems like they're trying their best to make sure every class has the same treatment.  I'm super happy they've welcomed testers with open arms . Bar none the most important thing is that my friends all see reasons to come back.  It seems like in legion we'll have so many things to do, and in particular the challenge mode system being much like Diablo rifts have really made us interested.  We typically play in 5 man set ups, and we all spent so much time grinding rifts in Diablo.  The random things that will make it harder will make it so much less tedious too, and every time we do one it'll mostly feel different .  I can't wait to see more of that system, the legion dungeons so far look really great thematically.  Something I felt was lacking in WoD: really cool and different dungeons.  They all seem very unique and very fun. I've tried not to spoil the entire experience for myself, but everything I've seen and have been seeing has just excited me.  Even on things I feel are weird or potentially bad, which admittedly have been few, I've felt confident that Blizzard has known exactly what they need to do and how to do it well.  I greatly look forward to playing this game with all my friends again, just like we did way back when .

in Legion, I'm looking forward to the essentially modernized PVP progression.

What I miss from past games is world pvp like southshore. Also miss in vanilla how there was just ground mounts. Something I wished WoD was able to do effectively. WoD's Garrison was more detrimental to the world than flying mounts.

Hard to say.  I'm looking forward to seeing the new story, especially the various artifact weapons.  Also looking forward to going into the Legion raiding scene with my guild from the beginning, as I'm a late-comer to non-LFR raiding this expac.

I'm actually looking forward to one thing that hasn't been on Alpha yet from what I've seen on fora and stuff and that is the Challenge Dungeons. They actually look fresh with all the random rules like more enemies or corpse explosion. It is a nice idea that I can't wait to see how it is implemented in the game! Certainly better than the current Challenge mode Dungeons

I think that wow nowadays is all about farminig gold and with the lack of content many people is leaving because it is too boring and i'm looking forward to legion because it's looking like something that will bring us many new content with quality to continue playing for years to come, i myself just log into wow to complete my garrison dailies.

The most exciting part of this expansion for me, is the introduction of Class Halls. I am a Social-Animal and love in-game banter. During WoD my Garrison became a lonely lonely place, I quite often found myself having full blown conversations with my NPC followers. Yes I could have gone to Ashran and hung out but I do love a social gathering hub e. Can not wait for my new home, as they say, "Home is where the Hearth is" Sorry bad joke.

I play WoW since vanilla and almost 99.99% of the time played on my druids so the biggest thing for me in legion will be the new bear and cat forms. Love them! Also going to play rated BGs as guardian druid. Looking forward to farm random battlegrounds too for the new honor sistem gonna reset that shht 20 times!!!

Unlike a lot of people, I've actually enjoyed the entirety of Warlords of Draenor (well, except Spires of Arak). I'm REALLY looking forward to questing in Legion, as well as gearing up, etc. I think the part that I'm most excited for right now? The prepatch. I know, I know. When EVERYBODY started to make their way to the Blasted Lands to fight the Iron Horde invasion from the Dark Portal, it was absolute chaos. Nobody could get anything done, as everybody had the same objectives, but it was all part of their own personal questlines. I managed to push my way through and eventually get the title that I am forever proud of: "of the Iron Vanguard". Was the title worth the delayed objectives and bugs? Almost certainly not. But with Legion. Legion, we're all in this together. Alliance. Those boundaries were stretched with the Pandaren, cracked with the Iron Horde, and now, they're gonna be shattered as we work together to defeat the Burning Legion. When they invade, Orcs, Humans, and all the other races of Azeroth will be ready to fight back. no, to defeat them once and for all. FOR AZEROTH.

looking forward to the new demo lock, but still hoping they will do something with the skull .. now its just a non combat pet and a bit lackluster imo.

What I am most looking forward to in Legion are the artifact weapons. I am a big fan of the Windrunner sisters so I love the idea that I am wielding a bow from their past. I'm really interested on how it will be to upgrade just one weapon over time instead of looking for my next replacement.

My fondest memory in WoW would have to be way back when my husband and I first started playing. We were leveling in Loch Modan and heard about the Darkmoon Faire. We had no idea how to get there so we just tried following the map, walking from Loch to Stormwind. We never got there that month but we had a fun time.

Looking forward to the next step in tanking a new demon hunter. And glad to participate in more pvp now that I don't have to grind out 2 gear sets.

I'm really excited for this expansion because it looks amazing the dungeons are nice lookin.

leveling zones look fun kinda dissapointed with the artifacts because of story elements but that's it.

and the new animations they are the best part in my opinion.

I started playing since bc but never played it properly because i was pretty young so i joined my friends

with raiding in mop and since then i liked it and never stopped. that's why i am very excited for this expansion

especially the raids i really want to check everything out.

The thing I am looking forward to most in Legion is the lore as I have always been an avid fan of it and in particular I am looking forward to Queen Azshara and hopefully some Old God Lore, as for my fondest memory it would be hitting level cap for the first time as I at the time thought that meant I was one of the best in the game and I was so excited to brag to my friends. Anyway thanks for helping me with so many things about WOW and especially how to play my class. biggrin.png

Well i cant wait for the chance to play in legion i want to get in there and play every class so i can help me and my guildies try to find that perfect class for legion not saying account sharing just explaining them the class and how it works and plays. Ive been watching the alpha and am going crazy trying to figure out what spec/ class i want to play. I would be extremely happy if you gave me the key so hopefully i could get a feel for the class thats going to be my new main in legion and not have to worry about if the videos are good. My favorite moment of this tier would have to be when i brought Glyph of Shamanistic rage to HF high council. I was laughing so hard when i figured out it dispelled and i was the cause of so many wipes lol.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
