Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I want to try the changes for the holy paladin and evaluate the difference between WoD and Legion, to decide whether to stay as a main or change it with some other healer class and try those too

With Legion coming I am very much looking forward to all of the lore being put in with the artifact weapon quest lines and class halls. I won't spoil any here, but some of them are very exciting to me. My fondest memory in all of WoW's history was the pre-Wrath of the Lich King event and the plague that turned people into undead. My friends and I had so much fun causing chaos during that, and it's unfortunate there won't be any events similar to that anymore. Running into an area people thought was safe and exploding spreading the plague everywhere was the most fun I've had in this game

I really enjoyed playing pvp in every expansion and i'm looking forward to the new Honor System. Nowadays i don't play much wow anymore but the new Honor System is what brought me to buy Legion. This is also why i would like access to the beta so i could test the new Pvp system in it's depths and maybe do some exploring and Pve

The thing I'm really looking foward in legion is how the artifact system, the talent system and the class fantasy really give you an inmersive experience of the class, while keeping the game challenging. Also I'm a bit of a lore fan so I'm always interested in how the story develops.

As to what I like from WoW since I started playing, I have to say that the lore is what drew me to the game, played all the Warcraft RTS games before and that got me to Preorder WoW Vanilla, once I started playing the game I fell in love with it, both pve and pvp. specially since I became a rogue, which is the class I main currently and probably will continue to do so in Legion.

My favorite moment since I started playing was when I was in a pvp guild during vanilla and got to help some of my friends get their High Warlord title and when we started raiding Molten Core, I could say the same of my current guild which I'm really happy with since they invited me in and started doing Hellfire Citadel on Mythic.

This Legion wardrobe thing is just amazing. A little tip: if you want to get as many items as possible, store Salvage from all characters. Got 4K already cant wait legion pre-patch to actually open it

There's a lot to talk about in terms of what I am looking forward to, so I'll post just the most important things that keep me excited for Legion. Artifact weapons, I'm highly interested in seeing as to how Blizz will manage to make these weapons balanced, and fun to use. The models are definitely cool, and I'm looking forward to seeing the lore in getting your artifact weapon. I'm excited to see all the abilities, how they will come to play and if the artifact weapon has any animations. The idea of carrying Ashbringer is cool, but I think I prefer carrying a sword made out of Frostmournes shards!

The second thing I am highly excited about is the leveling zones, I saw that the zones are each very different and beautiful. Seeing as they're so beautiful I will highly enjoy exploring the zones and seeing if there's hidden secrets in mountains for example. I will also be exploring the different class halls, though I think Rogues should have Ravenholdt, I can't judge the game hasn't been released looking forward to the possible Ravenholdt nonetheless!

And of course, who can forget Demon Hunters? I can't wait to see this class in action, I want to see the artifact weapon for Demon Hunters, I want to see their abilities. I want to see their metamorphasis. I am excited to see their class halls, how they get their artifact weapon, and will their artifact weapon be? Does it have lore behind it? Lots of questions, I am so excited to answer. Probably will see a bunch of Demon Hunters walking around at first, just like in Wrath with Death Knights. Looking forward to Legion!

I'm really looking forward to the new pvp talents and changes. Maybe now tanks can be viable in pvp and i can main my prot warrior without being forced to change specs to do pvp. I'm also happy that blizzard wants us to stick with one spec with the artifact system, as i always thought that choosing a spec is an important decision and you shouldn't be able to switch specs so easily.

The One thing I am absolutely so excited for in Legion is the class order halls. I love the class identity being present in this expansion, I remember back in early WoW I would go to Ravenholdt manor as a rogue and always thought places like that were so neat for individual classes.

I am looking very much forward to the artifact system, but I think it's going to become a problem when everyone has the same weapon as you. A moment I remember was when I killed my first cow on my friends account and I loved it!

Im mostly looking forward to the new raids and the artifact weapons and how that will be a input to the spec changes in legion :D
And the things i enjoyed the most in warlords of dreanor is by far the Archimonde mythic fight, such a cool fight with really fun abilities :D

In Legion, I'm most excited for artifacts. They just seem like a concept that's well thought out, and overall, Legion looks fantastic. Demon Hunters, and the overhaul with some specs seem like they're gonna breathe new life into the more run-down specs. The general concept seems a lot more thought out, and there seems like there's more to the lore than just the main story of the Burning Legion invasion. Every zone has a different conflict and story, and that's just something Warlords didn't really have.

A fond memory I have is actually in Mists of Pandaria. In that expansion, I got my first max-level character, got into raiding, and really began to learn how to play the game better. MoP was probably one of my favorites, and I have so many great memories in it. biggrin.png

I can't wait for Legion release, it seems to be really really fun with all the class changes and the new PvP system.

I would like to test the hunt changes in particular because it's my main class seens vanilla, especially the survival spec with  the old abilities that are coming back !

And of course the new demon hunter class !

Blizzard have done a great job with WoD questing and leveling system, I hope they will do the same for legion.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
