Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward to the new Raid Boss mechanics that Blizzard has in store for us.I think my favorite WoD memory was when my guild was on the last pull of Mythic Blackhand for the night.  We had been pulling him for a good two weeks with slight progression.  All of a sudden during this pull, everything was going right.  The siege engines went well, we absorbed the throws very well, and we made it to phase 3.  We all got really excited by the progress and we started to lose focus.  We hemorrhaged our lives over the course of the phase and we BARELY managed to eke out a kill.  The screams on Mumble were the best, most deafening sound you can imagine.

I'm pretty excited for Legion. Wod has the been the first expansion I have played non stop since it dropped. I went from very little experience in raiding to my guild killing mythic Archimonde last month. That being sad there isn't much to do nowadays except farm gold, mounts/pets, do some pvp, and log in for raids.  I'm really looking forward the class fantasy aspects of legions. I'm trying to level all classes to 100 so I can experience there story and artifact quests in legion. One thing that really excites me as taking away secondary stat importance for some classes like fire mage. I really hope blizz does it right and I can play fire in the first raid of legion. Another thing that will great is my brother wants to get back into wow for legion. The reason I first started playing wow in cata was that I could spend more time with my brother since I was a freshman in college and my family just moved over seas to Italy. It was a way for us to connect and spend time together despite the miles. We were never really that close until we started playing wow together and for that reason wow holds a special place in my heart.

I am super excited for legion.  I love the way they are thinking (to me atleast) end game first.  I think the Alpha is showing they are taking a very careful look to each class/spec and it will pay off.

I started at the beginning of BC and my first raid was Gruuls lair.  I was blown away by the "Mage Tank" and the sheer number of people fighting one boss.  After that i was locked, I started to sink my teeth into hardmodes in Wrath with Ulduar and remember the excitement when downing XT after killing the heart.

Side note, thank you for this site.  I can't remember when i started coming here but i have used your raid guides so many times i love the content you guys put out.  Thank you!

I'm looking forward to the new challenge modes in Legion, that is if they are going to be an alternative way to gear up apart from raiding. Things I enjoyed in the past was reputation quests/dailies, they were a lot better than just grinding mobs, and were fun with friends

But I'm really excited to play with the new wardrobe feature, I love transmogs and can't wait to come up with some new dank mogs.

Reneved arcane mage gameplay, new mastery. Mage allways was my main character, but it became so boring to play, plus that frustrating rune of power was ruining the fun, now it looks much better. Also ofc artifacts, new dungeons n stuff

I'm most looking forward to the new areas to explore, and the wardrobe system. The new areas for something new to look at; and the wardrobe system so I can set up transmog sets, etc.

My fondest memory of WoW.. That's a tough one... I would have to say when I first started tanking on my pally in cata. Had a blast and my guildies were very supportive in helping me become a better tank. I've only just recently just started up tanking again, and once again have a very supportive guild. Those two times where I had such fantastic guildies would have to be my most fondest memories.

I cant wait to see the game change, hopefully they game has evolved in a good way by picking up the good stuff of past expansions. I am interested to see how they will make dungeons relevant all expac long and to see the new speccs and class changes, especially SV hunters.Thinking of the new raids is probably what excites me the most, bring it on Blizz, challenge us

Of course content, but really the class changes and the feel that some sort of talent tree is coming back to the game with the weapons. That would be what I am looking forward to.

I am looking forward to the new 5 man dungeon system with the increasing difficulty. It seems like it can add some 5 man competitiveness to the game which could be fun

I'm looking forward to the Wardrobe and the artifact quests - I'm planning on completing the artifact quests on all characters. I also can't wait to just explore, from what I've seen, the new areas are beautiful, and my main being Night Elf, I'm excited for some NE lore

I am excited for the new demonology warlock design in Legion.

My hopes is that for pvp it will give demos more sustainable damage and let us keep our high hitting burst too.

First off, cheers Icy Veins for your continued work on the site. I've been a long time user of your guides and they are some of the best around. As to Legion, I am frothing at the mouth to try out all the new class changes and the shift to promoting class identity is a much needed addition. Also, I'am chomping at the bit to double jump and glide as a Demon Hunter, rather than pretending to be one with my rogue.

There is a range of past content I could prattle off about but the implementation of achievements and a continually evolving story have kept me entertained in the game going 10 years now.

Thanks for the opportunity Icy Veins.

hiho,my english writing is not good so sorry first.so much i realy like in legion, first that scaling of zones so you can level where want on the new zones and also the fact that you proberly can create dailyhub much better, not like in warlords where level 100 ogre hit my lvl 91 char dead because i didnt know there where small  lvl 100 zones there. Also like the idea of removing the calss buff while give all/most calsse mirror buffs fitting the class spell , semms like iam the only one liking greater blessings. My main is ele so i realy like NO CDS ON SHOCKS

I am really looking forward to the lore of Legion, as it's my most favourite part of the Warcraft universe. After reading WoW's Chronicle Volume 1, I am really intrigued to see where the story goes next and what happens to the major lore characters.

I am also really hyped about artifact weapons, particularly for my hunter as they look awesome! And looking at some of the order halls they look fantastic.

I am really looking forward to many more memories in Legion as I have had in past expansions, especially in Mists of Pandaria. I remember taking long walks in the Jade Forest and the Valley of the Four Winds and just marveling in the view and serenity of the those zones, and I would love to continue to do so in Legion! :)

When I first logged into WoW around 6 years ago, I was flooded with a gaming experience that was all too new. I had completely no idea what I was doing and spent entire days just walking around an exploring the world. Through this time I became entranced with the very expansive story of Warcraft, and I met some of the best friends I have ever had. In the new expansion, I am looking forward to the continuation of the grand universe of Warcraft, and sharing my experience adventuring through the world with those who share the same passion that I do

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
