Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

What i'm looking forward to most about Legion is the 5 man progression possibilities. Not HAVING to raid to progress is a great option. Really like the look of the changes, very excited.

As of most people I am extremely excited for Legion! What am I most excited about though? Well besides EVERYTHING, I am very excited to try out shadow priests. In my opinion shadow priests have needed something like this for a long time now and we are finally getting it. I can't wait!! The only thing that I'm worried about for Legion is that there is so many changes happening (for the better) that it might take me a while to learn how to play the game again but all in all I know it's going to be awesome!

Im looking forward to so many things in legion, the artifacts, the new pvp system, the leveling (i always love leveling in new expansions) New dungeons and raids, all of that stuff. WoW currently in my eyes with WoD has obviously been on a decline, even though i have enjoyed WoW from a PVE and raiding standpoint this expansion everything else has felt not very fun, what little content outside of raiding their has been in WoD.

That being said i love the game so ill be with it through thick and thin and i certainly do think that legion will bring alot of players back, The legion content looks so amazing and i really hope it is. Ive been in the past few beta test for WoW and i love testing the content!

My fondest memory of WoW would be when i first starting playing back in mid BC, i started out as a night elf druid and me and my brother were trying to make our way to stormwind...we were level 12 and needless to say it didn't go well, when we got to the wetlands we ended up behind attacked by a roving gang of murlocs and we died! ...we pretty much gave up and just ended up hearthing back to darnassus to level xD

But any ways, i honestly would love to be in the beta because i love this game so much and i love whenever i can be part of its development so im eager to get into alpha/beta to help make it turn out great.

TRANSMOG! i don't think i've looked forward to anything so much since transmog was actually added to the game. i need to empty out all my toon's banks/bags/void storage, and having access to all my previous quest items is going to be awesome. also, being shown how many mogs you have and how many you can still get is going to keep me a happy mog hunter for a while

Most probably going to change my main spec to something I would of never thought I would do, I am just afraid that if I do and it turns out I do not enjoy that class as much as I have seen it played then it will be difficult to keep up with others after a reroll. Would like the opportunity to play it and feel it before I would like to decide.

Also pvp is a completely new concept to me as I thought if you don't start early in other expansions you are gimped but everyone on a level playing field in terms of gear in legion? Sign me up.

I've been playing since vanilla released. Really excited for artifact weapons and Demon Hunters are going to ROCK! Class changes I think are going to be a lot of fun. But if I had to get excited for one thing (and it may seem crazy) it's that first week of an expansion leveling up. Areas are flooded with people - everything is new - yes there are glitches, but the frantic energy I just can't wait! I usually take 3 days off work and I don't sleep.

Really think this is going to be a great xpac!

The thing I look forward to the most is the demon hunters, transmog and seeing the game expand. Currently my favorite stuff in the game is the reagent bank and the older raids and dungeons

I remeber back in vanilla, being a hunter and seeing a select few melee hunters. At the time I was youthful and judged them being inferior. But Blizzard learned and saw a window of opportunity. I'm so stoked to be a melee hunter, smashing people left and right with a pet at my side.
Not to mention my excitement of a more viable arms. To much to wait and see.
The cherry on top has to be the wardrobe system, finally some bank space!

I would love to win the beta key because I'm so excited about all the new things were are going to experience in legion, such as the artifact weapons and the new PvP Sistem, as an artist, I'm so excited to see the graphical inprovements such as textures, animations and others, I would love to test the new transmit system (because I love building transmog xD), I also would like to see the class improvements and artifacts weapons of my favorite class, the Druids. Also I love PvP and for the videos I'm watching, Legion Dungeos have awesome mechanics and I would love to play them. So, I never won a bet key before but I have hope to win one for legion test, I've been playing WoW since WoTLK and always have fun playing with friends.

I'm most excited to pool my time into one "main" character after the last two expansions worth of leveling and gearing alts to max level due to a lack of meaningful character progression. By this I mean in Legion so far we have seen:

1) PVP grind bringing meaningful growth to a character, I might not be the most experienced pvp'er but I do enjoy battlegrounds and once again look forward to jumping in.

2) Being out in the world feeling rewarding again especially with the interaction with class hall followers.

3) Wielding unique and iconic weapons from Warcraft lore.

The thing I miss most is the feeling of a journey while leveling my first few characters through classic and tbc before the cataclysm changed the quests: certain trolls lost their elite status and a long quest chains arachnid foe became nothing more than a tiny bug.

Rare Patron

My wife and I have been playing Warcraft together since the Burning Crusade expansion.  I think in general, I always look forward to new expansions for the new content and the possibility of improvements in the world, both from and environment and gameplay perspective.  I have yet to find another game or hobby that presents as many options for enjoyment that Warcraft has over the years, especially for a very affordable price.  The hours upon hours of activity that I get from my $13 per month is pretty insane.

As far as Legion specifically, I'm very interested in seeing how they move on from the Garrison concept (which I actually liked for the most part) and take lessons learned from that experiment.  I also am hoping that the Artifact weapons and new alignment of talents will bring back some more customization to our characters.  I'm currently not overly excited by the Demon Hunter class, but that's pretty normal for me.  I only have a Monk now because I boosted one with my Legion pre-order.

I'm looking forward to changes to Prot Pallys and Disc Priests, but most of all, I'm looking forward to beginning an expansion with a raid team full of people that I like.  I've never quite managed to be in that position when I new expansion has come out in the past.

I've had a few good WoW moments in my time, like when my Horde guild on Dawnbringer earned our Black War Bear mounts, or when for the first time ever, I was able to finish the final heroic raid tier in an expansion when my raid team killed Archi last month and we got our Grove Wardens.  I've even gotten a job through a former raid team member in another state, so how is that for an example of WoW community?

I'm planning on trying to get serious with a couple of new classes in Legion, so it would be great to get in on the Beta so I can get a head start (with a little help from my friends at Icy Veins of course!).

I'm looking forward to the revamp of the Demo lock the most. It is very different than it used to be, and looks like so much fun. Probably one of the coolest memories i have is when i was out in zangarmarsh in outland. It was the first time i had ever seen a flying mount, and it was a nether drake at that. It was the coolest thing i had ever seen.

I played from the original WoW Beta up until Cataclysm where I started playing less (around once a week) due to work. Now I'm back in full force and have never been so hyped for an expansion. Been following the Alpha notes where I can and been watching so many streams. GNOOOOOOOOME HUNTERS. Need I say more?!?! #tamingamanasaber #gnomearmy #petwillbebiggerthanme

I'm looking forward to the druid artifacts... But I'll need to finish leveling my druid! One of my favorite memories is healing Kara on my shaman. It was the first dungeon I ever raided as a healer. It was so exciting each time we moved past a new boss!

Legion is on of the most anticipated expansions for me. I'm a huge lore fan. My biggest hype for this expansion is the continuation on my favorite race, the vykrul. We get to see their ancestral lands and their own Valhalla. I've been playing since late BC and the content all winds back to where i started, fighting the legion. I can't wait to see more of what's to come. I have great expectations and it WILL be awesome.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
