Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

While I'm intrigued by the Artifact Weapons, my main interest is the Transmog system being brought in. Should make old dungeons/raids more frequented.

Like a million other roleplayers I'm super stoked over transmog gear AND as an old atonement disc priest, I REALLY missed it! PLUS! I was one of the people who asked to please be able to hide shoulders!

looking forward to the new animations, that's the one thing that i like the most in a game, if i don't like the gameplay of the classes then i will not enjoy the game. Fury warrior gameplay is the one that i always look forward to this coming expac

Im really excited where they are going lorewise including all of the artifact storytelling as well as the artifact customization, looks super cool.

Fondest memory from WoW is definitely my first MC raid in vanilla. It was a bit past release so was essentially an alt run but I miraculously was able to acquire both Core Hound Tooth AND Perdition's Blade on my rogue in my first Molten Core ever, It felt surreal

I am personally super stoked for legion. I was seriously let down by the release of WoD. I am a little concerned with the fact they are keeping the garrison system in the game though. But I have been a serious PvE player since BC and do like what i've seen from the raid testing(Except the cake boss). But i am excited for how tanking looks.

I'm really hyped for demon hunter, artifacts weapon and legendary items. i wish that they can change a bit classes's itemization. New warrior look like fantastic, as well as the new raid.3 patch, discovering Black Temple raid, Illidan's lore, and the magnificent world of wow. I really liked many of the changes have had so far, and i hope that this expansion is fantastic as the others.

I believe what makes any mmorpg truly great is that it allows every player to feel immersed in the storyline and connected to the lore. While MoP introduced a fun new continent, and WoD an interesting alternate storyline, I believe that the two expansions failed to measure up to such icons as Arthas or Illidan in previous expansions. Being that WoD was also on an alternate timeline that seemingly failed to connect back to our own, our time spent on Draenor seemed a little. I think Legion will help the player base feel like they're immersed back into the lore. Finally, we're facing the greatest, most iconic threat once again. Also, we'll truly feel like legendary figures as we'll be surpassing great leaders like Thrall or Tyrion because we're taking up their weapons. Garrisons were a great idea in that they supplemented the idea of being a leader, but the isolation that resulted killed the communal feel to WoW. More specifically, I'm mostly excited to play a Demon Hunter. I have loved the hero class since I played night elves in Warcraft 3, and I remember being disappointed that they weren't available when WoW was first released. By extension, I'm thrilled that Illidan will be returning to the story. Anti-heroes like Illidan and (for a time) Arthas make storylines much more compelling (think Deadpool), and it'll be awesome to see how a somewhat shunned hero and following will blend into the current alliance/horde structure, just as the death knights did in WotLK. I believe this expansion will be the deciding factor in determining the (longevity of the) future of WoW, and I have high hopes that Blizzard will deliver.

I am looking forward to the revival of the class fantasies (hopefully). For a long time the classes haven't felt very unique, only devided into dps, tank or healer. Hopefully some of the changes made, and the introduction of the artifact weapons, will rekindle a lot of players love for their classes again. Odd as it may sound, I really hope that it' possible to grind out artifact power, I've missed a good ol' grind for a while now.I'm also looking forward to professions hopefully becoming more relevant again, and perhaps a bit more unique feeling that what they were in WoD.

Hmm, where to start. I think I will start by talking about some of the things I miss about "old wow". I miss the talent point system days it allowed players to pick and choose where to spend their points over more than one spec talent tree. Miss having the best Arrows/ Bullets/ quiver. I was a hunter then and it was the only time I enjoyed playing a hunter for anything other than farming. Think about it farming those dang "skettis, and dragon eggs" for the nether drakes was a heck of a grind but was oh so worth it when you were one of 15 people in guild that could fly. Legion,      I hope it is as great as it appears to be. Of course i think the new class will be a bunch of fun, but the artifacts and Character mods. example I like the most is the druid form color changes I don't play my druid a lot but will a lot more to flash out some of those. I like having the individual character stuff because lets face it end game wow is not very good these days I cleared Black hand and wasn't impressed with the HFC not even a little. I am really hoping the new raids and Dungeons hold up to the hype it might actually bring some players back the only reason I keep my wow account active is to see if i get my beta key. I hope to hear from y'all. Taxious

I love a lot of the feature they are going to introduce in Legion, first of all I'm looking forward to play my paladin and I'm particulary interested in the new utility he can bring with blessings and so on. I'm also interested on the new pvp honor system and talent and I hope that can lead to a more balanced gameplay in both PvE and PvP. I think that WoW can continue to be a top level game for years by introducing a more action gameplay and revamp old content like they already doing. I'd love to see 10 man raid again as well as a new timed PvP zone like Wintergrasp or Tol Barad instead of the annoying Ashran,

I am look forward to the new world and new raid. But my favorite thing is class identity that they are implementing. This alone has helped me to make one of each class to level 100 before legion and I am having fun leveling up one of each character

I'm most interested to see how a melee hunter works. I'm going to miss the fun of the ranged survival rotation (which I really enjoyed), but am curious to see how a melee rotation with a pet works.

I'm looking forward to the raids and the artifact's in Legions. Hopefully the artifacts play well in the game and possibly future expansions. I'm really glad for the wardrobe being added in, I will now have a lot more in my banks haha. I'm actually more curious about how the new honor system is going to work. I might actually start pvping if it works out really well, have another thing to do with my time and unlock the artifact skin from it.

I'm super pumped for legion, particularly the profession changes, and the new Demon Hunter class. I love me some melee dps, so Demon Hunter will be lots of fun to try out. I think one of my favorite things about wow was finding my own personal spot in the economy. Earning my gold and so on. I loved grinding materials in MoP to sell on the auction house to make money. Sadly with WoD gathering professions became sort of useless, so here's hoping Legion makes them fun again!

I'm really looking forward the new warrior class hall (Halls of Valor). It really looks like walhalla and Oden is totally badass with that lava beard. And also the Death Knight starter quests because who doesn't want to wield a weapon made of the fragments of Frostmourne. :3

I think what I've most enjoyed in the last few expansions, outside of raiding of course, would have to be the challenge modes. I still remember convincing my friends to try them out and staying up all night deciding the best strategies to get through the MoP cms. We must have wiped on Temple of Niuzao for 5 hours before we came even close to a gold time. But once we saw one gold it pumped us up to keep going. And over the next week we spent every night conquering the other eight. In WoD a few friends decided to quit before before we all had the time to complete our first set of cms, but we found some friendly new faces and grinded them out. Finding out some of the shenanigans you could pull off with spell reflect and dark sim made the WoD cms pretty hilarious at times. When it comes to legion I can't wait to fight gul'dan. I can't wait see, at least part of, the emerald dream. And most of all I can't wait to see where it ends, because I suspect that we will at least get a look at sargeras (after reading the warcraft chronicle I am completely hyped to meet him). But I know that no matter how the rest of the expansion plays out, I'll still have challenge modes as a back up. The addition of the new (diablo 3) variable mechanics means that even when my friends and I know a dungeon forwards and backwards, we probably won't be able to turn on auto pilot. So for legion I would say raiding is still number 1, but the new challenge mode, because of the experiences we've had in the past two expansions, is a very close second

What I am most looking forward in the upcoming expansion, Legion, are without any doubt the Demon Hunters. The reason is actually connected to this memorable experience I want to share with you:  I started playing world of warcraft; I was in love with Diablo II's gameplay so I was told to try out the game many times before, but honestly I wasn't that interested as I watched my cousins quest through azeroth with "so many buttons and hot-keys", so I underestimated the game's lore immersion.

One day, briefly after Wrath of the Lich King was released, I saw one of my cousins entering outlands through the dark portal.  Now, remember I was an experienced Diablo 2 player, so watching so many demons and Hellfire Penninsula's landscape was a whole revelation for me. I needed to play this game. here comes the memorable part: I leveled a hunter up to level 60, but refused to enter outlands as I felt my hunter was "weak" and was not prepared (no pun intended) , and that it was too late for him to improve ( I mean come on, I have my gear all wrong and blamed the character for its weakness),   so I DELETED MY FIRST CHARACTER, and instead, made a Death Knight, so the whole "champion who died and became a DK"-lore fitted just right.   This DK became my main and had lots of fun.  Where does the demon hunter fit in this story? well, back when I watched my cousing playing he kept telling me about this Illidan guy and when I mae my DK, I actually pretended him to be a Demon Hunter in desguise (awkwardly enough I am not a big fan of Role Playing).  I have been wanting this class so bad for all these years and I am finally getting to play them.

I can't wait to glide the crap out of the skies of broken isles and kick some demon's butt.

I think this is going to be an overall great expansion. The lore looks great and the questing looks fun as hell. I just hope that they manage to put in some more PVP content because that's what i always look forward to. But overall i'm just so hyped for this expansion, just like i was for every other one :D

Recently, I thought our story as Dks became irrelevant so I was more than overjoyed to hear about the upcoming DK lore in Legion, and I wont give away any spoilers in case you want to play through it But I'm more than happy with what Blizzard decided to do with the Lich king and Dks. Pretty much why I want to play Legion so bad   Also, one of my best memories was when I first started playing WoW I was a nelf hunter (duh XD ) and I became part of a roleplaying guild and we would just perform in SW and it was the greatest thing ever because I had no idea what I was doing because I was also rolling with fire enchants . Fire +Arrows = Flaming Arrows <3

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
