Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to the pvp/honor system in legion along with artifacts.  Something I enjoyed in the past was raiding icecrown citadel with friends forthe first time and killing the lich king

I've enjoyed many of the Icy Veins WoW Class guides for the past few years.  What I am most looking forward to in Legion, is all the new Vanity items such as Mounts, Pets, Toys, and the new Wardrobe system. I'm already collecting as many appearances as I can, and I can't wait to be able to use them all with the new system.

What i'm looking forwards to in legion is probably finally seeing what Xavius is up to as well as revisiting the tomb of sargeras. When the expansion was revealed it took me down memory lane with warcraft 3. My fondest memory is probably joining my current guild 3 years ago. Going from world ~1000 to world 9 at the time was a huge step up and I was expecting a lot of work, but honestly it's less of a chore to play at this level of raiding compared to progressing for 8 months

I'm hoping the conjoined capital will bring back a sense of community. I've been nagging a bunch of my old WoW buddies to resub and experience Legion with me

The most important part of a new expansion to me is the lore. Legion promises to deliver on that, since all of Azeroth rises to defend their homeworld in this upcomming expansion. Big fan of the pandaren, so was very happy to see that they will play their part in Legion. It's also the reason why I will be rerolling a monk as my main, so I can get to absorb as much of their lore as I can. There is only one thing that bothers me, and that is the spec changes require gold. I like to swap my spec multiple times a day, and I was hoping that I could do it without a cost

I'm looking forward to the whole artifact quest chain and how it will play out and everything lore related.

Also very curious on how many tiers we will get and what bosses they are going to throw at us ^^

Played the franchise since Orcs and humans and after all these years i'm still in love with it. WoW had it's ups and downs causing me to tell myself the old i quit story. Keep coming back tho ^^.

The biggest thing I am excited for is the changes to DemonLocks everything looks so amazing, and watching people play them in alpha, they just look like so much fun now. I main a DemonLock and I always felt like I was casting two-three spells and pretending I do damage

I've been giddy with excitement ever since the announcement. I've been wanting to play demon hunters ever since I first watched the noggenfogger exploration videos back during vanilla and it seemed so likely. Been on the edge of my seat for their announcement ever since Wrath. Honestly everything about the expac looks incredible, but just the actual, indisputable fact that demon hunters are a thing now makes me fire on all cylinders, feeding creativity and excitement

I'm really excited for the new PVP system, goodbye grinding honor points. A 2nd thing I'm digging, as simple as it is, is a freaking spider mount. Woooo.

I am very excited to explore this new land, as a newer player to WOW (only been playing for about a year now) I have thoroughly enjoyed searching for all the hidden easter eggs in the game. I love how with this game there is always something else to conquer, even players who I chat with who have been playing for years still have things they have yet to complete. One of my favorite things is how complex some of the achievements are, there are soo many different ones and the vastly different types are impressive. Its a well made game for people who enjoy getting lost in a new world and going on different adventures with friends. In the new expansion I look forward to the new transmog updates. That has always been a fun part of the game, searching for that one piece of TIER armor or looking for that certain weapon and then hoping the WOW gods are on your side and you roll a high number. All in all the new expansion will be a time when old and new players alike are all reset to a race to explore and discover it first. Also a side note, this website is AWESOME and helps players like me explore and understand this game very well so thank you for that.

I can't wait to experience the new, brilliant, animations first hand. I've mained a warrior since my early days of playing back in WotLK and after starting to think it might be time to swap, the new animations and really well thought out spec changes come along and now I'm beyond excited to get into wow and spam my warrior to enjoy them all over again. Thank you for this amazing chance to get to get into the beta

I am seriously looking forward to the Voidborn shadow priests. Purely from a look and fanatsy perspective, channeling the madness of the old gods to destroy demons?.

I'm most excited for the upcoming changes to my favorite classes. Holy words for holy priests, survival hunter, and demonology warlock. One of my fondest memories is completing the benediction quest on my priest. I felt so empowered by actually completing it. It took so much work to get it done, help from friends was necessary, but when it was done I had this unique item of incredible power. The cloak in MoP and the ring this expansion had a similar feel but felt more gated by timing (can only get x per week) and rng played a major factor in how fast the requisites were obtained. Trading direct effort for patience and luck isn't necessarily my strong suit.

I'm looking forward mostly to the Shadow Priest insanity mechanics, loving the idea of going mental then trying to stay insane as long as possible. After that the Artifact weapons and related lore/quests look to be exciting.  Hoping to see improvements and more interesting things coming out of crafting too, especially for Engineering, which aside from mounts and pets has become a little dull

I'm really excited for the Emerald Nightmare raid in Legion. I've always wanted to see the Emerald Dream (my main has and always will be a Druid), so it's really exciting that I get to finally see it

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
