Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

The biggest thing that I am looking forward to in Legion is the story. After going through Wod, and say what you will about it, the story telling during the leveling process was amazing. I'm so excited to see the expanded class lore coming from both the class halls and the artifact weapons. And as a sucker for anything Illidan related I can't wait to see what they do with him and the Illidari. However the greatest moment of my wow history was the first time my guild and I were able to take down the Lich King. That fight was the culmination of a story years in the making and the moment that Frostmourne shattered will always stick with me. It also may have something to do with the countless wipes on him as well

I have played off and on since BC but did not truly get into the spirit of the game and raiding until MoP. I accept that I will never be part of a "realm first" group but have completely enjoyed the dgs and raids in WoD.  They have done a wonderful job of creating challenging content.  The timewalker events have been especially fun for our guild as it has allowed us to enjoy older content as a group and it still be a challenge.  It has also led to some fun bouts of nostalgia as various members recount their memories of those instances. I do not even know where to begin on my excitement for Legion.  The  class changes to fire mage and demonology warlock are probably my most anticipated but the Demon Hunter is very close in the race (they had me at "double jump").  I think the separation of pvp and pve will offer many more options to the devels.  The new transmog system looks very nice and, of course, who can forget the artifact weapon.  In short, I don't know that I have heard a single thing about Legion that I have not at least thought "well that might be interesting"

Last time i played wow was when pandaria got out. Recently because of hearthstone got back to it for crossgame achievement. It was awesome to get back but sad that i only could get to lvl 20. Im looking forward to new Legion expansion and new features. Sometimes im wondering if some day wow will exchange monthly fee to ingame purchases which would allow me to play it more

But since I main a Lock I CANNOT wait for the revamped Demonology spec and the changes made to Affliction. I haven't been able to peel myself away from YouTube videos of the alpha. HYPE!

Even though the focus is more Burning Legion based, I'm actually really hoping to see some influence and appearances from the Old Gods at some point

I've been watching a lot about legion and i'm actually pretty excited for a few things. i'm loving the art style as far as the dungeons go.its a unique style and very different scenery that is going to give it a new feel. Demon hunters also look very mobile and fun and i prefer mobility classes. i know they're going to be insanely unbalanced but thats not what i'm in it for. i just want a class that feels different and exciting again.also i love the things they're taking in from their other games like the treasure goblins from diablo as a rare npc, dropped legendaries that will cause you to use other spells and actions in different ways.i am very scepticle of the new pvp ranking system and with so many alts i wish rank progress was account wide which i doubt, but all in all it seems a little more balanced and less hindering on people who reach cap on a new alt and want to get into it

Love the artifact weapon system, the new dungeons, Demon Hunters. But maybe most of all I'm super excited to see how the story of each zone will turn out and how the story of the overall expansion will go.I'll say as much as people dislike WoD (for good reasons) it's been the expansion I have played the most and have finally found a guild that I enjoy. Along with realizing that I really enjoy tanking and have strived to learn each class.

I'm most looking forward to the Artifact system and lore. The lore of Blizzard games has always been interesting to me and the last two expansions have felt very stagnant lore wise. WoD especially was just too much of a retread to keep me interested, so I'm very happy we're finally getting back to core story of the Warcraft universe in this expansion. My favorite moment was certainly forging Quel'Serrar when it was current content. I fondly remember constantly asking my friends to run Dire Maul a million times for the compendium. I had to rotate in and out people because they would get tired of doing it but I was on a mission and couldn't be stopped. I can still remember every single trash pack and how to pull them effectively. Dire Maul was the struggle for me on it, killing Onyxia was the easy part. I was in a server second guild on MC and Onyxia at the time.  I was so insanely proud of my Quel'Serrar. I still use it as my transmog weapon. Even though my warrior isn't my main anymore, I also use the updated version as transmog on my main frost DK just out of sheer love for that weapon. Nothing else really comes close to that journey and pursuit. I wish there were still interesting quests for weapons like that.

Started playing WoW pre Cata  and instantly fell in love with the druid class. I love the hybrid aspect of the class and soloing content was really fun. Over the time classes lost more and more of their uniqueness, you just do not feel special anymore. It does not matter if you are a warrior, dps is dps. BUT I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Blizzard came to realize, that class identity is really important and I am reaaaly looking forward to playing and experiencing the kinda "revamped" classes. Not ability-wise, but more feeling wise.   A beta key would really help to see, if I should keep hoping for the game, or just let it end.- REALLY love the new cat forms :3- The new transmog system also looks really good.

This expansion looks to bring some good new dungeons. Even tho i raid most of the times running dungeon was something i always enjoyed back in vanilla and tbc. I have good hopes on these new dungeons and the previews i have seen so far. Now lets hope they are as good on live as they seem to be on paper.

I have a hope for Legion being a good expansion, and therefore I can't contain my excitement for actually getting to try this expansion, or well. Get a tiny sneak peek and also try some demon hunter

I'm actually most excited about having access to all class specs within a class on a single toon. As a druid main, this gives me so much more raid and pvp flexibility. What will be interesting is to see if the artifact weapon is BIS for both PVE & PVP. If so, it may put a hindrance on the viability of offspecs (or at least more than one), which is what allowed for the opening up of all specs. Regardless, also excited to see how the prestige system pans out. I'm a bit of an achievement whore, so I doubt I'll be able to resist entering prestige once I've unlocked the play style (pvp talent mix) that works best for me :]

I have to say that what I am most looking forward to in Legion, besides the artifact weapons which I think is neat, is the fact that we are finally going to get to explore the area where The Tomb of Sargeras is. I have been wanting to see that place since I read that [spoilers. Spoilers. Beware if you don't want Original Gul'Dan lore spoiled.] Gul'dan went there to get something, but he never made it out alive. Another thing I am looking forward to is the class changes, a lot of which I like despite other individuals opinions, and the fact that a lot of major characters are going to have an end to their stories. I would go into more detail here, but I want to post as few spoilers as possible. My only hope is that Green Jesus finally exits the lime light, whether it be via death or not

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
