Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

By far the best thing I am looking forward to in Legion is Tri/Quad specing. This will allow for certain classes to just dominate the raid scene. Druids will be amazing (being able to do every single role). I really hope that Legion saves wow as this game is so awesome and I enjoy every minute that I spend in it with my guildies. My fondest memory is the first time my guild downed normal (pre-mythic) Garrosh in SoO, just the cutscene of Jaina saying "Dismantle the Horde." This moment just really sticks in my mind and everytime I see that cutscene I just get reminded on how much dedication it took to down him.

I'm most looking forward to feeling how the different playstyles have changed in Legion on my favorite characters and maybe even finding a new favorite. Mage and Shaman look really fun despite never having mained them in current content. My favorite time in wow had to be during launch of vanilla. We were all so excited to embrace the race to 60 and spend hours and hours every day logged on drilling into the content to try to make it there first. My guild back on Llane at the time was the first guild to have 60s in it and we felt on top of the world

I am looking forward, like in every expension, to the class changes. At the moment I play with the Talent calc and artifact calc to see which class I want to main in legion. And I also hope they make more relevant content, also were better gear matters. Oh yeah and I hope they will remove lfr, since its a game killer. Everytime I have to go in there I exist the game afterwards and feel like not playing it again, since it expose what this game is without friends and it also makes newer player think they finished the game, which is understandable since I don´t play most games twice if I beat it on one difficulity. One of my most noteable game moments was when I started the game in vanilla, I started as a nightelf rogue. After you finish the starter zone you get a quest to bring something to the next inn. You´re able to choose between bread and something to drink. So I was quiet lazy back then, I only saw oh wow Why should I ever take the bread, since the drink brings back double the amount. I didn´t know it was only for mana. So everytime I had to get hp back I drank something that gave me mana back as a rogue.

I'm extremely excited for Brewmasters being changed to dodge tanks and not just "Hit Guard I'm ok" Also BM hunters being real masters of beasts and not just one. My fondest moment has to be the entirety of Blackhand Progress. Normal, Heroic, Mythic, it doesn't matter. I love that boss in all his states and his VO is amazing

I'm really looking forward to seeing how blizzard's focus on class fantasy plays out in legion.   One of my fondest memories in World of Warcraft were all the class quests for warlocks back in vanilla wow to learn how to summon the various demons, obtain a Dreadsteed, call down an infernal and, my favorite, the ritual of doom. best spell ever)  I really hope to see more stuff like that, since their focus is fulfilling class fantasy.

As a Druid i am really interested in the Bear/cat models and finally the new moonkin skin. The classes overall all look really interesting and I will have at least 1 of each spec across my account. Demon Hunter will definitely be something I am interesting in playing. The artifact weapons seem really interesting also. Cant wait and Thank you blizzard for giving Icy veins keys to giveaway

In Legion I am most looking forward to finding out what happened to Alleria and Turalyon.  It will also be exciting getting to equip Alleria's Bow.  My most memorable moment was years ago, trying to run across Azeroth before being big enough to ride.  The world seemed so large and scary

There are so many things I'm looking forward to. I'm kiiiiind of planning to roll a demon hunter tank in Legion, but I'm not 100% yet. It'll probably be one of the first toons I'll level to 110 so I can get a quick feel of the class and see if it's something I really want to main. However I'm super stoked for new dungeons and raids, I just really hope it won't be too much like the WOD instances. And the wardrobe ohmydays.

I'm looking forward to the Artifact Weapons, Wardrobe System and the new PvP system. The weapons look awesome, especially the Fire Mage artifact weapon and being able clear out my void storage/bank from all the transmog that I have will be a huge relief. The new PvP system in Legion looks awesome, being able to fight opponents on even ground makes it real skilled based. Unlocking PvP talents through the honor level system is very interesting, and the ability to prestige once you hit max will definitely give me a lot of playability. My fondest WoW moment would have to be back during Burning Crusade during Season 4, I was very into PvP during that time and I always had a group of friends that I would do WPvP with/or arenas for fun. One day a friend of mine asks me to help him and his guildie ( Alawna ) do some 3's because she was trying to get the Brutal Gladiator's helmet ( I think it had a 1700 rating requirement. )So we do some 3's and we do get close to the rating she needed but we just couldn't do it, she was mostly a raider so she didn't really have the knowledge or the skill to really help us so we ended up stopping. So after those events Alawna and I would start talking more often and being more involved with each other and eventually we started dating online. Three months later we decide to want to meet each other irl and she was nice enough to buy herself a ticket to come visit me. We hit it off perfectly and have A LOT of things in common and I couldn't have asked for such a perfect woman. We have been together for close to 9 years now and if it weren't for WoW I would not have met my soulmate

I really miss WotLK times, when I just started playing.  There was always something to do, it was a golden age for pugging, and Wintergrasp was amazing since I was on a balanced pop server.  Regardless of if Legion fails or succeeds, it'll for sure be a ton of fun on launch for the first month with a lot to do, between the revamped challenge modes, maxing out your artifacts, or the new honor prestige system.  I'm really looking forward to experiencing the changes to Arcane mages, an AOE burn rotation and all the new mechanics look amazing!

I started playing WoW 10 years ago, so I kinda went through all the good and the bad times with this game. Raiding has always been the most exciting and challenging thing for me, so i really look forward to the new raids and dungeons - Suramar looks amazing and I hope, that there will be also challenging bosses. I'm also looking forward to the new Challenge Modes. What I don't like so much about Legion is the artifact weapon, since it already didn't turn me on to bring that legendary ring fully upgraded - and it really sucks if you play more than 1 char to keep this up to date.well, there are a lot after 10 years of playing, but I think the most important memories are all those ppl who became friends and still are friends after all this time. I really feel happy and blessed to have all those amazing people around me.

What I look forward to is the Demon Hunters OBVIOUSLY. My fondest WoW memory was back when I was a noob and just started playing. Me and my friend took the zepplin to Undercity and I started freaking out because I thought the Alliance was going to kill us because we were on the "Alliance side" rofl

I am most excited by the prospect of having stuff to do in the world again. I've been playing the game since "Vanilla" and back then I really enjoyed just doing different stuff in the wilf. In recent times the game has lacked world content in favor of one zone dallies. I'll be happy to travel zones and do multiple things. Also really looking forward to the new pvp system and the artifact weapons. My favorite memory from WoW was the first time I tanked in a raid. I was playing a ret pally during TBC and transitioned to Prot. Stepping into Tempest Keep, I was so nervous. I was nervous about wiping the group by just getting trucked. I had done what I needed to do back then and had defense cap and learned the fights. Stepping into those shoes was such a memorable moment. Now I've tanked mythic raids, all because of that first experience.  No matter how old WoW gets, and how much older I get, I still enjoy the game.

All the new features re amazing. I want the artifact weapon systems mostly. They look amazing. But every in legion so far look the best, it'll be nice to just play again and get back to my favourite game. ^^ good luck to everyone and have a nice day.

I'm really looking forward to the new Holy spec for Paladins, it looks very interesting and a new way of healing as of positioning and being a melee dps to empower your healing abilities. I see them being very strong for Tank and melee heals.

There was a time where my guild and I were fighting Lich King on 25m mode and we had this warrior who wasn't as good as most but did the job(mind you this was toward the end of xpac) and he did exactly as we wanted him to, but the funniest thing was that for half the time in the raid one night he didn't have a weapon equipped instead he had a pick axe and he still pulled enough dps not to be caught by this flaw and we were able to get Lk down before defile killed us... I look back at that moment and think why cant the game be like that anymore where skill is greater than gear. Here we had a warrior with no weapon stay out of stupid and still pull the damage needed just cause he was doing his job, where as now if you do not have a certain Item level you wont even be considered by most to join a raid group. I look back at all the good times i've had in raids and pvp and i find the most hilarious moments are when people are making mistakes and no one calls them out but instead joins the laugh and has a great time. I wish things where as strategically challenging in raids as they where back in Burning Crusade and Wrath but can still have their moments of fun and laughter. That is what i would like to make the next expansion if i were get a Beta key, Give blizzard the feed back i think would make the game great again and bring more people to it by how much fun the game is, but how knowledgeable you would need to be about your class to defeat raid mechanics/wreck your opponents in pvp. Lets make World of Warcraft Great again together, for now and for the future.

Inspiration is not my problem....Frustration is.

We have heard a lot about the instances and PvP.

The various class changes, even the graphic changes.

But, we hear very little about the substance fo what is to come, we have been given nothing but teasers on the new Wardrobe.

I have heard nothing of Archeology, Fishing, first aid...what of these?

We have garnered Tidbits about the Mats professions, but what about what these Mats will go into making?

I have said it before and I will say it now; World of Warcraft is not all PvP, Raids and Dungeons. These have been explored and reported on thoroughly by some of the best guilds that and best news resources available, but what about the rest?

I believe that here is so much being missed that should be explored and reported.

What more inspiration for Beta does one need?

The thing I am most looking forward too in legion is the new transmog system and the new PvP system. I like change (sometimes) and these are things I believe will bring good change. For example demon armor for warlock.I miss actually having to use these as well as curses and stuff of the sort. #hypeforlegion -Rottfest

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
