Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Many things is changing up for hopefully the better, atleast in the pvp perspective.

The honor talent system is much welcomed and at last they will be able to finetune the needs without affecting pve contra pvp.

Demon hunter... Where have they been all my wow life!!! Since day one of vanilla I have wanted to play as that class and now it will happen. Hopefully sooner then the release of the expansion, "blink blink" ;)

Happy birthday to IV. Im most looking forward to the lore and all the big changes like artifacts and order halls.  My biggest early memorys from wow is from when a kazzak attacked stormwind, My first raid in karazhan and all the new friendly players I meet and had fun with.

The return of illidan stormrage and the rise of the illidari!!!! gonna make macros on a demon hunter that say Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee and The illidari will rise again. Beyond that the art for legion looks phenomenal and i bought a whole new laptop just so i can run all the new animations on ultra (:

I think the next expansion, Legion, is just what WoW needed to reclaim it's former glory and raise the amount of subscriptions. I am really looking forward to playing a Demon Hunter, it's what I've been waiting on since I started playing WoW and I knew that one day I will get a chance to play a class that feels like Illidan back in warcraft 3, which was my favourite character by far. Another cool thing are artifact weapons, my personal belief is that these will give lore to every class, every spec, and make everything feel so unique. I am definitely looking forward to leveling up every class, every spec and every faction and I've already started doing that. I just really hope that either me or my gf gets a beta key so we can try out our classes before expansion is released on live realms.

Right now I keep hopping between classes but the most fun thing is doing 1v2's on a DK. I like DK the most so far although I had to play my warrior for guild raids. We ended up doing BGs in PvE gear which turned out to be way 2 overpowered which is something I'd like not to see in Legion.

I can see myself being soulbound to the demon hunter class, weather it turns up being OP or under average, it's the role, looks, green color which is my favourite, only 2 specs and me feeling like one IRL that makes me want to main it.
Long story short: I've never been so hyped about an expansion release so far.

P.S. I've already offered a kidney in exchange for alpha/beta key.

Other concept that is interesting to me is the artifact system that they are implementing im am looking forward to seeing it at work and seeing how they develope it further since in a long run it has a huge potential. My fondest memory from wow must be from back in the TBC, i played on an EU server that is called Agamaggan, it is a small server but it had some of the best world pvp events that were organized by players through the use of official forums. The person that had the most to do with those events was a warlock named Uroo and at one time he organized a massive pvp clash in Shimering flats in the Thousand needles area, 5-6 40 man raids of horde and a bit less people from alliance gathered and than the fun began . Server crashed 4-5 times in sucsesion which made the numbers dwindle unfortunatly but it still made for a rly interesting event

Hello Guys!

First I had to say: I'm sorry for my English, it's not my first Language.

So..

Of course i'm also very excited about the new Expansion Pack. The Artifact-Weapons are a cool Way to customize your Charakter and feeling yourself as a real Hero in Warcraft (Okay, maybe Paladins and Shamans more than other Classes because they get already known and existing Weapons from Warcraft Lore).

Anyways, i think Legion will be an awesome Expansion Pack and so far it's looking very good in my Opinion. Some things reminds me on WotLk (Zones and Gear) and i have to say that i started WoW with WotLk and i loved it.

That brings me to my best Moment in WoW. As i reached Level 67 the X-Pack was already released for a Week and the Leveling-Zones were quite empty. It tooks a while but finally i dinged the 80! I joined a Guild, no good one but they gave me the Chance to see my first Raid, Naxxramas, as a Tank.. After a few Weeks i've learned the Basics of raiding, the Core part of the Game for me. At the Moment my Guildmember accepted me as a full value Member and the first apreciating Words from the Raidleader were a very cool Moment. Sadly, the Guild got broken because of interferences between Member and the Guildlead. (Oh i forgot that i got to be as Maintank one of the three Officers but the Problem was between Member and Guild/Raidleader, not me). After that, i could'nt choose a Side of the Medal, my old Guild and just a Hand of Member or the new Guild that was made out of my old Member and good Friends so i decided that i wont play the Game anymore.

My Best Friend in Reallife who brings me into playing WoW, was a very high ranked Player. At the Point i quit the Game, he was building a random Group of Players to get the Achievement "Glory of the Icecrown Raider". He gave me the Chance to play with People who were Part of some of the best Guilds on our Server. It's funny, after he had enough People together he left the Group and Realm because a World higher ranked Guild accepted him after his application. But i was still in the Group and after a couple ID's, we got the Achievement as the first random Group on the Server and the second or maybe the third Group in total (including Guildgroups) who got it.

And this was the best Moment in my past at WoW, sitting on my Frostwyrm as a Symbol of Glory in Dalaran.

Thank u for reading.

I'm mostly excited for the new pvp system. I like how Blizzard is implementing some GRINDING into the game again and that they are focusing more on character development.

Also I'm always looking forward to a new expansion. :)

Legion and the new systems actually got a couple of the guys from work to start playing again. So here I am, after about a year away, back at it getting ready. I'm glad communities like Icy Veins exist to help us ramp back up after time away.

Well then, what am I looking forward to the most in Legion? Lore, more than anything else. Legion seems to bring alot of awesome stuff but being a lore geek I love the drive on story and your characters part in it. You being a part of what's going on and not just an adventurer. The changes to classes to be more lore accurate and so on, I'm very excited for all of it!

While I don't have any favorite "moment" in WoW I have a favorite part, that being questing and leveling. I guess alot of people would find end game to be more fun but I really enjoy leveling and going through the story. Actually this would be one of those things I look forward to in Legion, enjoying the story and lore of every class as I level up and doing every artifact questline and so on! =)

It is interesting to see, what Legion will bring. All i can hope for is that Class halls will not be made as Garrisons in WoD. Because everybody was just afking in there, and one was happy if can meet somebody somewhere in the world.

Congratulations on five wonderful years providing guides and fun for a fantastic game! Looking forward to more in the future.

And looking forward to Legion, indeed! Can't wait to put on my horns and hunt demons. And definitely can't wait to explore the Broken Isles, the Tomb of Sargeras and maybe to get a second in-game glimpse of one of my favourite lore characters, Queen Azshara.

Greetings Icy-veins. I'm excited for loads of things, that is true. But to be honest I am kind of scared as well, since there is a lot to be done wrong in this expansion. Artifact weapons truly look good and have some nice traits, but personally i would ask how are we going to develop them in next patches and what will happen to them in the end of Legion.

Also i am excited for the PvE concept. There are 10 dungeons and I've seen few of them in YT previews and such. They look really nice and have really nice design, but what i would be again scared of is the scaling and the difficulty in heroic or challenge modes.

PvP concept is really looking nice with the small amount of information i have, but again, question is, how will the gear, talents and prestige work? I really look forward to it.

And last point: Lore... This is one thing I am really looking forward to and what interests me probably the most. We have a chance to see new and old characters and also we could have a chance to encounter or at least get some more info on Old Gods. Scaling system looks also really amazing. Since I am an alt person, i love to get all classes on max lvl, so this would allow me to progress the Broken Isles in any way i want. But again the negatives... I am really worried about the length (in hours) of each zone in Broken Isles. Some sources say that one zone only takes about one and half hour to complete which is too fast, but that is my personal opinion.

I know this was supposed to be "Why i am hyped for Legion" comment. But I just can't write all positives, without leaving out possible negatives, which are important. To me chance to get into beta of Legion is the chance to test the game and point out the bugs and glitches made in the game and help in one way or another improve the game for normal players, rather then play it as one. I will have a chance to do that when it launches.

I'm really looking forward to the Artifacts quests and the forms that my feral is going to have in Legion, looking dope!

Imo, Legion will be the catalyst that'll bring WoW back to its glorious days!

I joined World of Warcraft during Cataclysm so I don't have a say on Wrath and under, but I felt that my greatest moment is when I found my first raiding guild during Warlords of Draenor (Surprisingly). I finally felt a sense of comfort during my raiding shenanigans as I was finally doing so with people who share my interests and sense of humor. I was the warlock of the group, and since I started playing one it became my all-time favourite class to play, so much that I didn't focus on any other class near as much. With this in mind what really gets me excited about legion is how the Warlock is going to be changed: Demonology in my opinion seems the best so far because first of all, you can summon an entire army of demons to your command, which Blizzard has faced away from until now, not to mention the Artefact weapon is a unique idea: having a Companion-like floating skull with a mind of it's own is very interesting indeed. However, it isn't just Warlock changes that keeps me on the edge of my seat, the world design, NPC models and awesome features such as customisable artefact weapons and new animations seem mind blowing. WoD did indeed seem blank and boring due to lack of conent, but I do hope that Blizzard will rise to this come the next expansion because the hype has taken me over a lot. Thanks for reading and I hope Blizzard makes this worth the wait

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
