Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Well, I would really want to test Legion out before its release for a few different reasons:

-Would like to test out Retribution Paladin (Ashbringer!) and maybe Holy Paladin since I think I'll be raiding a bit as Holy in Legion due to 3 specs being available.

-Would like to bug test as much as possible.

-Also would like to feature and cover as much content as I can on my Youtube channel.

-Have some fun with Demon Hunter. Looking at it on Youtube it does seem like a badass class, or so I think.

-The badass new Transmog system (finally will be able to empty my bank, bags and void storage)

Looking forward to the content Legion has to offer and (I'll be repeating myself) Ashbringer! And of course more Paladin lore.

Fondest memories from WoW are raiding Karazhan back in TBC and Ulduar back in WOTLK, but I think Karazhan takes the cake.

...and yeah, farming and questing around (with friends) in Vanilla to get gold for that damn expensive epic ground mount smile.png

P.S.: Thank you Icy-Veins team for providing endless guides for each and every class that I played and you still continue to help me in my darkest WoW moments!

Thank you and good luck to everyone smile.png

I started playing WoW in TBC 2.4.3 than continued till wotlk 3.3.5 (which I think that those 2 are best expansions).

I've played WoD but I don't think it was good expansion.

For Legion I'm hyped as my favorite "Boss" is there again and that is Illidan.

Overall I think that Legion will make huge success and that it will be same popular as TBC or Wotlk.

Can't wait to play it :)

PS. My favorite class will get malee spec finally! Proud hunter since TBC :D

Honestly the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the new Demonology Warlock. It looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what kind of numbers it can put out.

My best moment in WoW... well I started rather recently so don't have a lot to talk about, but I guess dinging 100 on my main, and the first time I killed normal archimonde. (Yes I'm a 700 ilvl scrub who is still playing catch-up until I can get into HC/Mythic)

I am really looking forward to the new weapons and raids. When I first saw the artifact weapons I immediately fell in love with them :D I am also looking forward to get some new pets and mounts. The Demon Hunters looked amazing and I just cant wait to try this new expansion out.

My favourite moment in this game was when I found out the transmogrification. I had always wanted to have cool looking gear, but didnt know how to get it. When I first tried it out, my dream finally came true :)

Oh boy, I'm so looking forward to seeing the emerald nightmare, and the demon hunters, oh my! I also can't wait to test the new animations and watch the beautiful landscape blizzard (as always) has created.

Even though I started in WoD (which the fanbase aren't very positive about) I still find this game addictive and you've just got so many things to do!

Can't wait for Legion!

Most Hyped about the new challenge modes and the new raids, but as always will level at least 3-4 toons to max.

New zones look awesome as well and I have high hopes for the dungeons tho i have been trying to avoid watching too many videos.

Also Affliction artefact FTW!

Fondest memory there is no one answer to this but here are a few:

Staying up late on vent with guildies playing music on jumping on bank roof in Orgrimmar.

First Rag kill, first Nef kill, Tanking Twin Emps.

Heroic TBC dungeons, and doing Karazhan for the first time.

First time in Northrend with the awesome music and best questing yet.

Seeing the WotLK cinematic for the first time still always get goosebumps when i watch it.

And many more.

I'm like WOW! A Legion Beta Giveaway! Yeah, from what I've seen, I pretty much liked the new character models, some of the story, artifacts, PvP, animations, etc etc.

But the story appears to be lacking somehow... I mean the Broken Isles in WarCraft III were 4 small islands. Here,we see an entire continent that sprung out of nowhere!

Anyway, I'm excited. Wanna check out the new models? Visit: http://legion.wowhead.com/ ! wink.png

I'm really looking forward to the artefact system and the flex-lvl system too. I really hope that the end-game content for each patch is fulfilling enough. I started playing wow in WotLK and I've had so much fun playing over the years (although we won't talk about cata). Legion looks like the best expansion set since I've been playing

I can't wait to get my hands on my artifact weapons, the idea of wielding the Ashbringer is really exciting. As a mythic raider, I'm really impatient to be able to discover the new dungeons and raids that Legion will introduce and the new strats of bosses

I simply love the reimagining of some of the new specs, especially the one I love the most: subtlety rogue! The new playstyle is so close to my fantasy: strongly based on stealth and shadow steps, fragile but bursty and with a little bit of shadow magic. A real shinobi! ~(/:/)

Community side, I really hope people will start to feel the bond with their characters again. Between ability pruning, ease of leveling and WoW becoming more and more a competitive MOBA, lots of people have started playing multiple characters (even of the same class) or playing the most overpowered class/race, with the result of losing some of that bond and consequently feeling less immersed into the game.

Due to class changes, I think there will be quite a few imbalances, but that's not necessarily a bad thing: it will probably shift the focus away from the more and more predominant lobby e-sport aspect of the game, back to its roots as an role-playing open-world community based game.

In particular I expect and wish the world-pvp aspect of the game to become more predominant. I still have great memories from when I started playing... I remember I had to be constantly alert while leveling for the fear of horde, and every time I met one, my heart would start racing like crazy! "Is he gonna start attacking me?", "how should I approach him/her?" and many other questions went through my mind. It was a battle for survival, it was insane but I wanted more and more of it. ^_^

I'm excited for new transmog system, I really need to clean my bags, banks, void storage etc. on all of my characters I also like the look of Nightborne place since I'm a huge fan of Elven lore in WoW. And of course, I can't wait to play a Demon Hunter

Looking forward to the spec overhauls and transmog wardrobe - the struggle for bag and bank space is real. As a player who started in BC I can't wait to see illidan back in action as well

Really looking forward to the new transmog system. I'll finally have some bag/bank space.  The new artifact trees sort of remind me of the old vanilla wow spec trees.  I really missed the customization from classic wow so I'm looking forward to its return in its new form

I started to play WoW in Burning crusade, tried different classes, and priest got me so well,  I loved that i was able to save lifes with my disc priest, and i was really enjoyed healing, by the time I got better and better, it felt amazing, one of my most precious moment when i started to pvp. i had no clue what was i doing, or what I was supposed to do, and then all of a sudden 4 people attacked me at once, and believe or not, i tried to keep myself alive, it was a difficult situation. So I'm really looking forward to see the pvp side of Legion. Hope its gonna be similar like back in Burning Crusade.

I'm looking forward to mostly the lore. I always loved WoW's storyline, as a person that loves reading fantasy books. It's vast, interesting and I admire the love and dedication they put into it. But also, the new transmogification system, cant wait to see it :333

My favorite memory of playing the game has to be when my friends and guild mates would creep me out with weird and unexplained mysteries of the game, especially the whole creepy whispering of the Spirit Healer. That would make my blood freeze for weeks.

I'm really looking forward to the new fighting moves which melee players will obtain. They look so awesome and real. Also the system of artifacts is amazing. I can't wait to see the quest-chains for each class.

I just want to be part of the discussion  I am looking forward to all the class reworks and the massive amount of theorycrafting and learning to come. One of the biggest joys of draenor for me was working specific rotation styles and builds along side many of the other fine people who habitat these boards. we have completely overhauled classes, new abilities, a new class, new specs, and even once we get that squared away we have all the artifact traits and abilities. then finally once we have that the various legendaries and trinkets and tier sets that will come our way will rustle it up again.  and I look forward to solving it along side my icy-veins family

I'm very interested in seeing how the ability pruning will play out, as I'm very much looking forward to the return to less homogenized classes.  I'm also incredibly stoked for the new xmog wardrobe and having bag space again

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
