Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Lovely initiative from you guys! I'm for once really hyped about everything about this new expansion. I finally get the feeling that WoW is taking a step back to what it once where instead of trying to be what every other games are.

The new PvP system really get's me going even tho i'm not even a great pvp:er and the new dungeons looks fun as well. The thing that get's me going the most tho is the new class and all the lore that must be included in the introduction of the Demon Hunter class!

And I do love the darkness of this expansion gives me the feeling of northrend all over again. And whilst we are at talking about nostalgia like C'thun and all crazy stuff that went on down in AQ, I am one who love bosses like that as well. Kel'thuzad, Lich King, Yog'sarron and so on. Thumb's up for a great side anyways and good luck to everyone in the giveaway!

Hi!
I am looking forward to amazing adventures in Azeroth! I like rading and professions, as well as roleplay in WoW, cause I am just that kind of a player. I also like some class changes they have made, especially the shadow priests and outlaw rogues, I also want to have a cool class hall as well as try out the new Illidan class, cause Illidan is the best. The first time I played WoW I played a gnome mage, who went to the brewfest and got a brewfest hat and then I went to Loch Modan and died. At the end of the day, I was at the edges of Tirisfall Glades. It was cool. The best times in WoW I've had though have to be the times when me and my brother were raiding in Mop or then the epic roleplays I was in with my dwarf innkeeper. Thank you for reading! :)

Throughout my 10 years of playign WoW on and off, I have several times sworn never to touch this outdated game, in favor of the never games in the genre such as Black Dessert. But something has always dragged me back to WoW for one reason or another, but this time it's Legion. Legion is doing things to the game, that I have been begging for Blizzard to do for ages.

Re-sparkle the flames of class distinction, and class identity, bring back class quests and have us work with distinct lore figures of our class, which is exactly what Legion will bring to the table.

Not only that, but they are finally making a serious effort, to seperate PvP from PvE which is absolutely huuge, and something that I have been wishing for for ages, and they actually seem to manage in pulling it off with the new PvP talents to give PvP'ers some sort of progression, while using stat-templates that Blizzard can alter for balance purposes. My prayers have been heard, and that is why I am very confident that Legion will be the very best expansion that WoW have ever had. Oh and Demon Hunters my gawd do they look awesome visually!

This expansion have made me question what to main for longer than any other time, where as a quick overview of the talent trees, abilities and a few forum posts would make up my mind. Now I am completely baffled if I should stick with my Rogue, roll an Enhancement Shaman, a Ret Paladin, re-ignite my spark for Druids or let the Demon Hunter blow my socks off. And that is because of the huuuge overhauls of most classes, making everything so different and new, which is absolutely huge for me. I am really looking forward to Legion!

I can haz beta plox :>?

I´m looking forward to demon hunters the most, because Illidan has always been one of my favourite lore characters, so now i will feel like him :D

The most memorable moment for me was when i hit level cap for the first time, best feeling i could get after the days i have spent playing the game

I hope noob stories are acceptable comments.  Icy veins helped me understand how to really play wow. I started playing in Cata when I was only ~13 years old and I had no idea what to do. I read online that the best deal for starting players was the battle chest so I bought that. All I used for guidance in the game were the instruction manuals and strategy guides that came with the battle chest. It took me several months to hit 85 on one character because I made way too many alts and had almost no progress on any of them. The character I hit level 55 on was my blood death knight and I may have been the single worst tank to exist. At least half of my deathknight's gear was cloth because I wanted my spells to do more damage. When I first tried to queue for a radnom heroic, I died to the first trash pack and was instantly kicked. I didn't understand why I was dying so much more than before, so I turned to the internet for help. I was explained the basics and told to go here so I would understand my class. I never posted on the forums but I read all the guides I could. Moving forward into legion, I can't wait for artifact weapons. I was devastated when talent trees were taken away in MoP and always felt like there needed to be something proper to replace it. Two expansions later and the artifact trees are shown for the first time. This is the first time I have really been "hyped" for an expansion so it's sure to be a fun ride

I'm looking forward to the new dungeons, I always loved running dungeons.

When I was still a noob, and didn't know what dungeons were, I solod the Deadmines, it took me 2 hours, but it was so much fun! I spent a lot of time searching for tactics, and I was so happy when I did it. After that I told my friend, who was a 'pro', and he told me that dungeons are for 5 people.... :D

I often see the question posted on streamers or websites asking, "Will Legion save WoW?"  I think I stand with Bajheera when he was asked the same question.  I don't think WoW needs to be saved.  I've always thoroughly enjoyed WoW, every expansion (for the last 11 years lol), every bit of content.  But I definitely think Legion is bringing a HUGE bang for our buck.  The Artifact idea is beautiful, wielding legendary weapons of old.  The huge class/character development of certain people.  We get a lot more lore, possibly my favorite part.  I love moving through zones and quest lines.  I love that they made zones scale with people, so I can finish it while still accomplishing the overall goal, reaching 110 and downing Gul'dan!  I'm very curious what's going on in the Emerald Nightmare with Cenarious and what is Illidan up to.

I'm looking forward for Illidans comeback. Can't wait to see him in action again. And one my favorite memories from WoW is an odd one because it's not really pleasant. I remember doing a raid in Black Temple back in BC and we were fighting Illidan and at 1% of his health we got disconnected. I remember how angry we were but it was doing doing Black Temple with my friends.

What i really looking forward to ? Arms freaking warrior! Arms dps is completly screwed up since MoP and i was a big time fan of it during TBC and WOTLK. So with Legion at our doorstep and what i have seen so far from arms dps, im convinced that the glory of the Arms dps will come back!

Im also highly interested in the new combat animations and sounds, they will make our button smashing new/crunchy/fresh/shiny ^^

Lets see, what else ? OH the artifact weaps (not going to write an essey about it since everyone know what we expect from them)

So as a 10 year of WoW veteran, im really looking forward for the new content.

PS. Sorry if my english sounds kinda bad, im Hungarian ^^

I'm really looking forward to being able to swap between all specs, I like the idea of obtaining artifact weapons. I've personally been playing the game since the first Beta of Vanilla, and I've enjoyed every minute of it

It is common knowledge that people did not dislike the garrisons, but they had so much resources as an output that it was stupid not to stand in your garrison for most of your playtime. I want to see if the new order halls will change this, because I can see they've taken a step in the right direction by allowing members from your class to hang in there with you. Also, I've been saving my [The Skull of Gul'Dan] for 10 YEARS waiting for this moment. I just really need to beat that Orc to death with his own skull. Please Icy Veins? Can you enable my horrible murder?

Let me tell you right now, I'm not the best person to receive a beta key. I have little interest in dungeons, gearing up, and raiding. But why would I have a subscription to a game I don't play correctly?

When I was playing vanilla nine or so years ago, I remember a high level char befriending my druid in Dolanaar. We weren't even playing the game, we were just talking like two human beings. Before she departed for Darn, she gave me 1G. That made me so happy.

Fast forward to Cata - along with questing, exploring, and achv hunting, (my activities of choice) I helped out other players whether they be low level knobs or people that are just confused about something in the new expansion. All just because that stranger showed me kindness in an empty city.

So I'm definitely not a player that will hop the bandwagon and play the game appropriately, but I'm a player that's actually excited to see other players grow and make the community a decent place to spend time. I created an account and posted this to maybe get a key, but more importantly inspire people to play the game as I do.

I'm most excited to just explore the new zones which are coming in Legion, Blizzard always put so much effort into the environment and it never fails to impress. My fondest memory of WoW would have to be when I re-subbed in Mists of Pandaria and finally got to explore, Pandaria was and probably always will be my favourite zone in the game

Mostly I'm hyped for Frost DK artefact Q to be honest I really really really love Lich King lore so cant wait to play it my self (or test it even ). Dungeon looks amazing in legion and also new PvP honor system. there is a lot of things I want to do in Legion. well, pretty much everything, Im terrible PvP player so I was always focused on PvE. First raid I have ever progressed was Ulduar and thats another reason why Im hyped for legion. (and sorry for my english ofc )

Hello!

What is the most exciting thing about Legions... Let me see... Gnome Hunters for the win! I can't wait to start my very own gnome hunter! I've been looking forward to it since I joined this epic game. (Shadow of the Necropolis patch back in vanilla).

The artifact weapons looks interesting also but I don't get the 625 legendary thing. My favorite moment in my wow gaming experience was the first time entering ulduar! That raid is amazing. There is a base theme of course but every region inside it is different, not like in the later raids where every boss room is the same (sometimes literally (ToC)). I hope to see something of that type of raid again.

I can't wait for legion so vote for me!

What? You mean this is not how it works?

Cya guys, have fun everyone!

I want a beta key so bad because I really want to see how ALL of the classes and specs play before launch. I am a VERY min/max type of player and knowing what is best is very important to me! I cannot wait until legion!

I'm liking the emphasis on world content, and constant progression of your weapon.  The dungeons all look amazing (besides Violet Hold, I was never a fan of it) and the new class skill animations look awesome. I'm thinking of changing to either a Disc Priest of Vengeance DH for this expansion.  Disc looks like so much fun, even if the numbers aren't so huge after tuning, and DH will just be something new for me. I'm not a huge fan of how the artifact weapons for Vengeance DH look, but that's okay.  It's minor to me and I can get over it

World of Warcraft is my favourite game. I spent a lot of time in it and i am very glad to see that Blizzard still updates it. Legion is probably my favourite expansion after wotlk because of it's lore and changes in the game.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
