Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I have always enjoyed WoW. But by high points were when I could participate in Heroic dungeons with other people in BC and WoTLK because it was fun, and it allowed  me not to be the anti-social autist I am. I am really looking forward to the challenge mode dungeons then as they are beginning to fufill my dream the more I hear about them.smile.png

What i am looking forward to in Legion? well there is a lot of things but hands down the most wanted class in my favorite game franchise, the Demon hunter class, i have had wet dreams of it ever being a class in wow and now that they are out, and seeing the gameplay on videos and streams i cant wait to "double jump" straight in and leave all my old characters, I hope the demon hunter isnt to squishy for arena and that they are viable in every aspect of the game, not to broken damage wise. but the unrivaled mobility thing, with being a melee glass canon is what intrigues me.

As for my fondest memory , it would have to be when i first started playing the game, it was in TBC and i was about level 17 or so, my friend told me to go to

Stranglethornvale, since he was a veteran i listened to him, so i swam all the way in the river from Duskwood to STV avoiding all the mobs, i first saw Hemet Nesingwary as i walked up to him to get a look at some quests all of a sudden i got stunned and kill in seconds  by this big green thing with merciless gladiator armor, was my first pvp experience in wow, the player was "skull" level, and at the time i didnt know what he was, or wearing, i know he was intimidating, but now i know the gear was a level 70, i had a fear of orcs for a while after that, haha, their guards always chased me around, but when WotLK came out i faction changed to horde,as it was a new feature in the store, and never looked back

FOR THE HORDE! FOR AZEROTH! but more importantly FOR LORD ILLIDAN!

I am looking forward mainly for the lore and then for the affliction warlock changes and the lovely artifact weapon, hope to see some stronger aoe power. Favorite moment ...hmm... maybe the joy of my first Legendary cloak i gained at Pandaria with my lock but I also have lots of fun with my EPIC falls off cliffs, mounts etc tongue.png

Can't wait more for legion. When totally new content arrive it's possibly to discovers things with almost the same magic than the first time we logged in. I hope artifact weapon and demon hunter will help to this !

As a raid player i am also waiting for new raids impatiently. I also waiting to test mage changes and possibility of second spe with the artifacts , it's always strange before a tier when you have no idea of the spec you will play.

Im sooooo happy that Illidan is back...He is my fav character...Would love to see him on "good" side this time(for me he was always a good guy),back in Warcraft 3 TFT he nearly saved whole Azeroth from Scourge.I also look forward to see Guldan...what will happen to him...How he is gonna react ehen he finds out when, where and how he died, and to see his own scull in Illidans hands(if he still haves it)

So yeesss in soooo excited for Legion.... ❤❤❤

I'm eager to see what's been going on in WoW recently, and see how the planned changes are going to pan out with the Legion expansion :) Haven't played since MoP, which was a bit on the lackluster side, so I'm hoping Legion will step up to the plate. Also, demon hunters.

I was able to play the Demon Hunter starting zone at Blizzcon and I am really looking forward to testing them out in PvP. However, I am most excited for the changes to the Paladin healing! I was always the 'lucky' healer to help with a lot of the melee mechanics over the past few expansions, and now I will be truly rewarded for my presence with the increased healing benefits. Also, while altered, we are getting back Divine Intervention! Never been more excited for such rigorous class changes.

stay a while and listen!

Ive been a wow player for 9 years and have seen many changes in my game time. With the release of warlords of draenor i was excited and ready to take on the new chapter in wow.

it had its flaws but also cracked the leveling formula once again.

Legion - With so much changing in legion it really is hard to not get excited. The artifact weapons will breathe life into the game and offer a new sense of progression to each character and spec. The world looks fantastic from the alpha and the art direction is spot on. (nightelf Architecture <3)

The biggest part of legion i am looking forward to seeing are the class specific quests that tie into the class halls. With each spec there will be a quest line tailored for our needs. The missions set throughout the world with timed events is really going to give everyone something to do as opposed to rotting in our garrisons.

Fingers crossed for more pepe action <3 as well as beta access

Well... where to start?

I've been playing WOW for many years, on and off since BC. I was a casual player, so I didn't do any hardcore raiding or anything of that kind. I have enjoyed the Warcraft universe since I played Warcraft II, and Illidan is one of my favorite characters and I'm so excited to see him make a return, hopefully we will see a great redemption story for him, since BC left his story with a weird and unsatisfying ending. That said I have also, seeing as Illidan is one of my favorites, been hoping for a Demon Hunter hero class ever since DK's were implemented. And finally I can go crazy as a Demon Hunter in the Warcraft universe <3

In general I am excited about everything about Legion, even the the pvp system, even though I rarely play any pvp.

As for my fondest memories in the World that is Warcraft, :-P, I would say, when I about a year ago decided to start playing the game more seriously and joined a guild with the purpose of raiding, everything has been great, meeting new people and working together towards killing the bosses of WOW.

When I at that point started playing the raiding game, and needed to read up on my class, I started using this website, and boy did it help. I learned a lot about my class, stat-priorities, rotations, boss-patterns and since then I have use Icy-Veins a lot and recommended it, whenever someone asked me where they could get some knowledge about their class. So congrats to IV on the 5 years, may your succes keep on going :-D

There's a lot I'm looking forward to in Legion. Obviously Demon Hunters, with all of the new class hype. I am also VERY, VERY excited for the focus on class identity, and hope it turns out well. When I play a character, I care more about the feeling of the class than the actual mechanics of the gameplay.

That said, I am most excited for the epic scale of Legion, something that I feel has been missing since ICC. The grand feeling and imperative scale of the story is what I most eagerly await.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
