Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

What I'm most excited for in Legion is the new transmog system!

Its been one of my favorite features since they added it in Cataclysm and its such an important thing in a game like this. The armor you wear, the look of your character, helps determine your characters identity, even if you don't RP.

Currently my entire personal guild bank on my bank character is full of transmog stuff, and my void storage as well on all my major characters.

With the new transmog system its going to be a lot easier maintaining it all, and a lot easier to mix and match new sets and looks.

I've been playing on private servers since 2009 and I got on offcial last month and it's a whole different world here.I remember my first days on WoW,on trial, walking with my friends in Durotar,it seemed huge, then we cross the river to the Barrens,we were so surprised by the new area that looks like a savannah.I remember that an ostrich killed all 3 of us because we were only level 5.I have so many memories in WoW and I am looking forward to Legion because I love the demon hunters, also the artifacts looks outstanding and I just have to be there to fight...for Azeroth!

Personally I want to test out the new combat animations as well as see for myself how the development change to prefer class fantasy fares amongst my favourite classes/specs.

Hey!

I've been playing World of Warcraft Since early 2007 and enjoyed every bit of it!

I'm currently looking forward to try out the new Hero Class " Demon Hunter" that i've been waiting to come to the game since bc! I've also looking forward to see all the new content that they have made and explore and find bugs to help blizzard to make this expansion as good as possible.

I remember when the first time i found out about demon hunters in Burning Crusade and loved the idéa of them becoming a class in the future.

Hope i see you all soon!

Best Regards,

Anton

Honestly, I've been out of the game for a while and looking forward to trying out some of the things I missed. I have always been excited about the story and new lore is going to be awesome.

But, I am definitely looking forward to the Demon Hunter class. Anything I can play as BE is awesome. smile.png

I most looking forward to the new class animations, since they look pretty amazing and will breath some life into some classes that might feel stale. Plus as a Rogue, melee animation has always been really boring.

As for my fondest moment, it would have to be when my guild received the realm first Guild Level 25 achievement. I figured out the best way for us to grind out the guild XP, which was running normal Lost City over and over again, and my guild started at the nightly reset at 3am ran the dungeon continuously until around 6pm. We had people subbing in to so we could take breaks and it was a really great moment for my guild.

I started playing WoW around the time when TBC came out. I had no idea what I was doing, of course, but I was really enjoying myself. These days trying to do a dungeon as a protection-specced paladin DPS'ing would get you kicked within a minute, but back then people didn't seem to mind things like that, and since I liked the idea of a one-hander and a shield, that's what I did.

WoW has changed a lot since those days. Gone are the days of random friendly encounters on a server where a lot of the people eventually knew each other personally, or at the very least by name. I enjoyed the game immensely until the end of Wotlk when Blizzard announced Cataclysm and the prospect of fighting yet another dragon (after all the dragons killed in Wotlk) completely turned me off, and I subsequently quit WoW. I came back for Warlords because I felt seeing Draenor as it once was would be an enjoyable experience, which it was, but unfortunately the rest of the expansion didn't really do it for me.

I'm definitely looking forward to Legion. From what I've heard it's a big step in the right direction, what with the new challenge modes to keep dungeons relevant and the professions going back to being useful again. The class-overhauls are definitely another good thing as many specs sorely need them. Time will tell whether Legion is a success or not.

My heart aches for Demon Hunter (Havoc especially), it's unreal how much two words make me go giddy and feel like I'm a kid again playing Warcraft 3.

Also looking forward to this year's April Fools from blizzard, I pray Crabby makes a return.

I'm extremely excited for pretty much everything about Legion, I always loved the burning legion, demons, as enemies, we get a ton of lore, Illidan is back (sort of?), we get Demon Hunters! a brand new class, and alot of other classes/speccs are getting complete reworks which means I have to learn them all over again, alot of people dislike this, but I love it. Also shoutout to DAT wardrobe system, I'll be so happy to finally be rid of all that junk in my void storage and bank lol.

As for the past! I've been playing since early-mid vanilla (Or Warcraft 2, if you want to count pre-WoW, especially WC3 consumed massive amounts of my time as a kid!), I was just a kid back then, I didn't get much about the game, but I understood basics, interrupting spell casts, finding out certain spells combo, classes strengths and weaknesses. I was a Paladin, I wanted to be a holy warrior of the light, purging evil from the world and smiting fools! Ofcourse I was somewhat disappointed when I found out I could pretty much only be a healer, but I stuck with it nonetheless. I spent most of my time leveling in this era, but I had a blast doing so, and even, as a kid, dabbled in some dungeons, battlegrounds and eventually even some raiding!

Despite the great time I had back then, I wouldn't go back to it, there's only 2 things I miss from ''the good old days''. Which are the fact that leveling, although not hard, was atleast a semi decent challenge and took time and persistance, and the communities servers had, if you were an active, social player doing group content, you'd eventually come to know certain people, you'd recognize people very often and build up sort of a reputation on the server, Cross realm tech mostly killed it tho :/.

Despite this, however, been playing a long damn time along with my father, and I plan on keeping it like that! So here's hoping I get one of them keys so the two of us can have a personal sneak peak and try out some of our favorite classes ^.^!

I am looking forward to the artifact system as well as continuing the story in Legion. As far as my most memorable moment in wow, I would say killing the Lich king for the first time with long time friends.

I am looking forward to the classes changes and the new PvP system,  I will specially look forward to Demon Hunter, and the changes to Rogue and Druids. I hope this new expansion bring more to the game, I liked TBC so I hope this can be as good or more, because my most memorable moments were as a new player in TBC and the friends I made in WotLK.. I miss the weekly raid quest from WotLK sad.png

Hello,

There are so many changes coming to legion...my head is spinning.

I would really want to try the new dungeons, especially Maw of Souls and Halls of Valor (freakin' Odyn waits to prove your worth xD ) and although it's not yet released on alpha, from the pictures, Helheim looks awesome too.

The hype @ demon hunters is real. His mobility looks very interesting and he can really pop up some real damage.

All the new areas will scale to your level, so you can start anywhere. From what I saw until now, Stormheim is my favourite zone.

Legendaries will be world drops..wut wut ! :D ...I don't mind farming xD.

Of course, can't wait to test the new PvP system together with the artefact weapons and gain as much prestige levels as possible for them rewards ! :D

Again, hype is real !

Hmm, I think I'm forgetting something....oh, I got it.

Happy anniversary and keep it up ! ;)

Oh jeez... I don't know where to start exactly. Actually, I'm kinda hyped about Legion and really looking forward to it.

The new class design and changes, the mighty legendaries + questline to gain these items. Wanna take a look into the class halls, and what's that all about. Pretty much everything, except for PvP because I never really was into PvP but still, I think this AddOn will rock. And I really need to get some distance to the awful AddOn WoD...

And on top of that, hell yeah demonhunter, wearing warglaives and stuff. Actually, a playable mini Illidan to rock and wreck havoc upon my enemies.

Ahh, i don't even know where to start. I'm really looking forward to... well almost everything in Legion. Can't wait to play my Mage and try out all the other specs with the new artifact weapons.

My favorite moments in WoW so far have definitely been the moments that i have shared with my friends/guildmates raiding.

Good luck everyone!

I love yall, even through the ups and downs in wow you guys are always the best resource for gearing my toons and staying on top of stats. on the side i hope legion gets a resurgence in players i wish wow would be the call of duty or counter strike of gaming, with just a massive player and fan base. I know its unlikely but i want the raids to be tuned to near impossible i want something that makes me part of the 1% that requires hard work, and time not something everyone can do but still something id like to see

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
