Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

I'm excited to the max to be playing as Demon Hunter using my very own Artifact Glaives "The Twin Blades of the Deceiver". The new build system in the Artifacts weapons is such hype.

My favorite part about WoW and probably the only reason I still play is the social aspect. I love playing with the awesome people who are on my server, which is why I have never been able to play on another server. As far as my favorite feature in the game aside from the social aspect is pet battles! I have been collecting pets for as long as I have been playing, even before they became battle pets. I currently have almost every achievement related to them. The things I am most looking forward to in Legion are Demon Hunters and Class Halls. I cant wait to experience both of them!

I'm most interested in the new pvp system, transmog wardrobe and the adventure mode.

My favorite times in wow has been all the arenas and battlegrounds I've played with my friends over the years.

When coming to WoW just Legion alone is a great change.  There was a lot, and still going on, overhaul work to this expansion.  The new changes to the professions adds spice to them after so long.  The artifact weapons adds a new dimension to the game itself.  It is great to see changes like this.  The raids they have released so far to be seen look well designed and fun to play.  From the past I have enjoyed the boss encounters in HFC.  I liked the story line that Draenor has made, but not the end content with so little to do after completing most of it.  In Cata I found pvp to be fun adding life to what duels took.  But, Legion is going be just something else to have add to the table.

Mostly for what iam looking forward to is new revamped classes: Mostly my main as a whole but specificly holy paladin. i was at the beginning angered by how they changed mastery, but who knows maybe over time it will get in my fingers :)

As for a past, I think it was PvP at the end of TBC, when retri palading had layed hands on divine storm, which was over-power at the time :)

Also can't wait to see Dalaran and get that nostalgic feel.

I've been playing World of Warcraft since 2006 and I still love it so much. Not only for its great story and the fun that came with exploring Azeroth, but especially for all the people I've met. People who share the same interests and eventually became friends. And even more, because I've also met my boyfriend in WoW wink.png

It's such a great game with so much history and no matter which other MMORPG I've tried in the past, I've always returned to WoW eventually.

As to Legion: I'm really excited about demon hunters. I always love new classes and all the new opportunities that come with it and I can't wait to play.

But I think, the thing I'm most looking forward to is the new continent. I'm such a big fan of all the lore stuff and I absolutely LOVE the new system of scaling zones. Now I can explore everything, every quest, without worrying about my level <3

And of course the class order halls, artifact weapons, the new transmog system, new mounts and so on and so on...

Can we just say, I cannot wait? biggrin.png

I share so many memories with WoW, I can't even remember everything. And I'm pretty sure, there will be more in the future smile.png

I have actually been off from WoW the last 2years but Legion has really gotten me interested in starting again.

I am really looking forward to all the class halls and the artifact weps that are being put into the game!

It feels like they are taking away some of the variety of choice but there is still the grind to upgrade.

I REAAALLY wanna try out demon hunters! Oh my god since tbc i've been wanting ti play that kind of class when we fought illidan but I just took for granted that it would never happen... And now it's happening!!

Super stoked needless to say.

I think my fondest memory is from karazhan. Because it was the first raid that I actually went to with a guild I had been with for half a year. It was when I started to understand the game in a sense and wanted to upgrade my character for a purpose.

I was probably only 11 at the time and I was the "boy" in my guild, but it was the first guild that I actually felt connection with.

We weren't the biggest guild but atleast 40 were always online and everyone was there for each other.

Now with this guild, I was very prepared for raiding with. They explained everything I had to know and also showed themselves grateful for me when succeeding!

I remember how hard I thought everything was even tho I was dpsing. I remember dying from every kind of aoe that were brought upon the raid. But eventually, I learned everything I had to with these guys. We progressed and finally completed Kara and I did get my first ever tier set piece :)

Why I love this memory is because it reminds me of the first experience of raiding with real people and the learning process. And after that I have loved raiding ever since.

Whism ftw!

I can't wait for Legion to come and I was thinking that I'm going to level as a retribution Palladin and thus leveling my artifact weapon 2 hander, but I wanna be a tank in raids. My question is: Will I have to level both the 2 hander and than the 1 hander and shield separatelly? Am I going to be forced into leveling to 110 as a tank in order to level my artifact 1h+ Shield? Or I can level both specs at the same time?

As a person who has played ever since vanilla, seen various highs and lows of the game's current lifecycle, I find myself rather excited at seeing not just what this new chapter of WoW will bring with it, but how it will play out and function. Being rather disappointed with how WoD turned out, it's nice that a fresh new change of air is coming soon-ish in the form of Legion.

Further demonic themes is great, warlock revamps have me both excited (and very hopeful), although also worried at the same time. For the most part, class fantasies seem to be reinforced with their themes and playstyles more than ever, which has got quite... excited. (Now if only Affliction would actually be using their brand new scythe as something other than a magical artifact on their back... Hnngh.) Artifacts themselves are a very interesting concept, and while I don't agree with all of the choices for them, how they will actually play out in the game, leveling them, their power and all has me awfully excited. Especially considering I'd no longer have to sit there cursing RNGesus about not getting my mainhand and offhand drops.

All in all, what I'm excited for is brand new content on Azeroth itself, not on yet another offworld, not sitting in your garrison for the majority of your time post-levelcap, and the reinforced class fantasies.

So i like the Artifact trait thing but have doubts about a good catchup mechanikc for second/third speccs especially for a only dps class like rogue/lock/mage/hunter this could be horrific grind. I think the system itself is a copy o the Cataclysm feature "Path of the Titans" which was scrapped. The artifact tree itself empowers abilitys like the Path was designed but wihtout updating a Rank instead empower it additionally. Me as a rogue could have a hard start at the beginning because of maximizing the artifact power when the catch-up system isnt as good as it needs to be:/

Im mostly excited about the new Raid content. The first Raidtest encounters looked good and some of them are entertaining like the "cakeboss" for example. THe not tested encounter look very good too on the paper.

I remember back in the days in BC ive found a lot of cool guys to play with and joined some very nice guilds and got better and better. Meanwhile im one of the best in Germany/world. Thats very cool. Starting from nothing as a total retard and going straight forward to be the best/one of the best. Thats very nice thing when i remember how bad i was back in classic/start of bc.
Thats the thing thats heating up my heart. WIth hard work to success nad with cool guys on my way supporting me and vice versa.

Sadly, newer people have it harder now to get into better guild positions because theyve no experience and no one wnats those guys(not even a bad world 1-2k guild will give someone new whos looking great a chance) its like in real life with workplaces.

As I have been playing holy paladin almost over a decade now, I'm looking forward to be a melee healer and be in on the action. There is so many great memories from the past, but finally downing Lich King was a great achievement for me and my friends.

WOW by name and nature...

Playing since the beginning we as a family have seen all the changes and to be honest 'yes' there has been momentous errors by Blizzard but the support, quick thinking and implementation of patches to fix problems has kept us loyal subscribers.

Myself, wife and both kids play as well as my brother in Holland and with the incoming chance to play as a Demon Hunter - WOW is going from strength to strength. I have even wrote to Blizzard about a concept that would allow a further 15 to 20 years shelf life of WOW.

Great content, great regular players (not basement kiddies who troll) and better raids - the future looks great for subscribers in my opinion.

Long Live Azeroth!

I looking forward to the new PvP system. I like the idea with the new prestige system. I hope that gear does not matter that much in Legion-PvP.

I first started my WoW adventure at the end of classic WoW. My first PvP experience was at TBC. With my mate we did a lot 2vs2 arena matches. I allways have good memories about my old pvp times, even I played on a pretty low rating at TBC.

What im looking most forward to in Legion has to be the Demonlogy lock as im maining warlock, and think the changes they do to them will be really refreshing :)

My best world of warcraft memory is when me and my guild for the first time back in vanilla did Molten Core.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
