Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

A phrase that's been thrown around a lot when people discuss this expansion is "cautiously optimistic", and that's more or less the mindset I've adapted and stuck with. I won't say I'm not concerned about the future of this game, because I am, but that's not to say Blizzard hasn't already impressed me with some of the changes and quality-of-life improvements they've shown us in the Alpha. It's certainly something I wouldn't mind getting my hands on to explore more fully... in the near future, hopefully.

I´m reeally exited for the upcoming expasion and i like the idea of having a epic weapon for the entire exp. The thing i like the most is probably kicking the legion butt back to the twisting nether and killing guldan. i like the new mecjanics they want to implement such as the prestige system or the new challenge mode thingi. i hope that i get a beta key this time cause im waiting for it since bc.the most epic moment in my entire wow life was when we, my guild and i , killt lady vashj in ssc the nerd scream where incredible ^^.

so i hope for getting a key but besides all others good luck too :)

I'm excited to see how everything will work out; the class halls, the artifacts, the revamped classes etc... everything seems nice.

I'm really looking forward to the story focus that seems to be happening in Legion. A lot more about us and not just "evil orcs hurr".

Without spoiling anything, the Forsaken story is going to be beautiful to play out on my RP Server. In my ten years of playing the stakes for those friendly deadies have never been higher (even when the Alliance were tearing through The Undercity).

And finally, of course, GNOME HUNTERS.

I'm most looking forward to the revamped disc priest spec. I feel like it may have some balancing issues and i'm hoping that having a disc priest is not going to be detrimental or even a requirement to a raid team.

I'd love to be able to test out disc priest before legion launches so that i can have plenty of experience when my guild begins progression.

My fondest memory is of defeating Ragnaros on heroic with my guild during Cataclysm. Most of the guild has moved on from wow, but i still have fun raiding with my new guild members.

I started playing WoW in patch 5.3 and hit 90 2 days after Siege of Orgrimmar was released. I ended up getting my Mythic Garrosh kill too 2 days before WoD launched, which is pretty funny. I'm super excited about the Bommie rework and the Artifact Weapons.

I'm looking forward to everything in Legion really, but what I'm most looking forward to is probably the Demon Hunter! Not even to play one, really. I love how mobile they are, and want to explore things with double jumping, gliding, and that dash ability of theirs. They look like so much fun to just jump around with!

As for my fondest memory? When I first started out, I was completely lost in those hills in Westfall behind the Deadmines and ran into a gnome (Mage I think, I honestly don't remember) who helped me find my way back to town. After that he helped me out in Duskwood and directed me to famous quests like The Missing Diplomat and the Scythe of Elune. Gnome, I don't even remember your name or know if you still play. But wherever you are, thank you for helping me love Azeroth!

In Legion, I am most looking forward to the new class changes for most classes and the transmog system. Those are the big highlights for me. In the past, some of my most enjoyable and memorable experiences are usually centered around the new questing experience and following the stories and humor presented in many of them.

Mostly just for the lore but new crafting stuff is fun and new places to relax with fishing.

Hopefully there will be bigger back bag too.

I'm looking forward to the new wardrobe system, that sounds amazing. The new PvP system looks nice, I'm thrilled about the artifacts. I have concerns about the new legendaries (world drop legendaries? come on...).

My favourtie moment of WoW is seeing Ragnaros for the first time with my guild in Molten Core. That was when I truly fell in love with WoW almost 11 years ago.

I've been playing WoW since 2006 and I've played every class at max lvl in raids and I'm frankly getting bored(or have been for a year) with the gameplay.

I need something new and I'm hoping the Demon hunter is gonna give it to me.

Aswell as a new honor system that's similiar progression to most shooters(cod, battlefield etc) will probably make me revitalized in PvP.

A BETA key would be amazing to try all this stuff out and see if I wanna set aside that first 2 weeks after launch for another launch marathon(Almost got server first 90 back in MoP)

It will be very interesting because the interface change much in the game as well as the new mechanics of it. however as long for the high difficulty that had the world of warcraft, this will incentivized to play not only because it was a great world to go in pve but invites you to immerse yourself in a world totally in expansion and that is what this chapter called legion is to bring back again. and that you hooked either mode pvp or its lore

New expansions have always been fascinating for me. I'm hoping that Blizzard would give us a great expansions with 3 or 4 raid tiers and balanced PvP system. Both raiding and PvP have keep me playing WoW for years. I don't wanna see another expansion like Draenor and I think that Blizzard has learned a lesson too. For example Farahlon would have been great place with exciting adventures.

My main focus will be in PvE because dungeons and raids are looking great and have a lot of content there. Raid progression with my guild will be awesome. But I will still be PvPing with my friends outside raiding. Unfortunately PvP's biggest down side has been incorrect class and race balance which should be fixed in legion.

For Icy-Veins I'm hoping that they will continue their great work with this site. I would like to read more Warcraft and Hearthstone related articles in future too. Also I'm happy to see how many different tools this site is offering nowadays.

See you all in Legion :D

I am curious to see how the demonhunter works out and if Blizzard finally managed to make the rogue redundant because let us admit DK, Monk and now DH are all filling the same spot as the rogue.

Like everyone i am excited to test the classes, specially since the enhancement shaman had new animations added in, and some professions while hopping around in m new wardrobe.

I have stopped raiding a few tiers back and I am starting again with legion so I can not wait myself to test out the changes to my belowed shaman, new raids and dungeons. Because once I prepare that way, I can enjoy the leveling and playing more because I will have the strategies and rotations figured out and practiced in advance.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
