Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

There are so many things I'm looking forward to.

I'm kiiiiind of planning to roll a demon hunter tank in Legion, but I'm not 100% yet. It'll probably be one of the first toons I'll level to 110 so I can get a quick feel of the class and see if it's something I really want to main. :p

However I'm super stoked for new dungeons and raids, I just really hope it won't be too much like the WOD instances!
And the wardrobe ohmydays.

The excitement is real.

I'm most excited to be able to wield the artifact weapons and see where the story of WoW takes us next. My favourite moment was when i went into Ulduar for the first time during WotlK. It's still my favourite raid and going in blind with a group of friends and fighting through the ancient Titan city was amazing and one of my fondest gaming memories.

Why I actually wait for Legion ?

First of all I am playing since Burning Legion and I am very excited for the upcoming expansion.

I want to complete all the quests one by one reading all of their descriptions . Simply i want to explore whats new Blizzard is giving to us . happy.png

And as a one of the members of Hellforge Team that is working on Starcraft 2 mod named StormCraft Armies that combines all Blizzard Universes in one RTS I am very curious about models, new spells, new mechanics, story-line and legion... basically about all the expansion itself as a huge Blizzard fan and mod-maker .

See you in the Broken Isles cool.png

World of Warcraft has always had a special place in my heart. I discovered the game way back when I was only in 5th grade, 11 years ago. I had a friend who told me all about it and I just had to experience it. It took me a long time to get a grasp on everything, but I eventually managed to get a rogue to level 60 in vanilla and even get through some raid content. Not too bad for an 11 year old eh?

The game was something that allowed me to get into a world where I constantly felt I was accomplishing things. I remember constantly having a sense of wonder going throughout Azeroth, as if I could never really know everything that was going on.

It also got me through a lot of hard times as well. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I was a bit of a loner throughout my middle school years. It took me a long time to really find out what kind of person I was and who I wanted to be. And because of that, I lost a lot of friends. But World of Warcraft helped fill that gap. I really felt like I had friends in my guild. People I would talk to about my day and about what was going on in my life. The game became so much more than just a few pixels on a screen.

I have played off and on ever since. Stopping whenever I didn't have enough time because of college or work or what have you, but I always come back. I've never been able to stay away for more than a few months. Even now, although Warlords has its flaws, I still find enjoyment out of the game. It's such a part of me now, it's hard to give up.

Legion has given me many things to be excited about. The one that stands out to me most though is all the class revamps. I'm a bit of an altoholic so it's going to be great to see how all of the specs change come Legion (I'm particularly excited for shadow priests, I want to give my soul to the old gods for power, hell yeah!)

I'm sure my story is one that many WoW players can sympathize with. This is a game that allows people to make of it what they will and for me, it's always meant a place I can go to whenever I feel the need to get away from a stressful week and go kill some internet dragons. I think WoW will remain a part of my life for years to come.

Congratulations on your 5th birthday Icy Veins. Still recall your site back when I was noobing on it to become better. (Btw im a pro Mage player now).

So here is few things that i am LOOKING FORWARD TO IN LEGION:

1. Texture upgrades on critters, new models.
Oh yes, I am one of those who approove of new updates each time they come, becouse its nothing wrong to look on a sweet looking eyecandy, like little fluffy bunnies #MyluneAphoofs.
I wont even debate on new incoming mounts. ^^

2. The Demon Hunter Class
As someone who got infected with Lore of Warcraft by a game called Warcraft 3, I am really looking forward to Illidian Stromrages and Blood elven versions of it running around.
Yes even on roleplay se*coughs*rvers. Okay maybe not that much becouse the people there will be doing soooo wrong RP. Specially on how Demon Hunter acts through Lore.
But gamewise? Abilities look pretty neat, the models graphical uniquities are great, starting level and lock on only 1 demon hunter per server is great.
*peers at fellow roleplayers* so if you screw up in RP you gonna have to rename your char or re-level a new one. *grin* So play nice kids.

3. The Broken Isles and updated Mainland Content
We had all seen various artist interpretations of Broken isles through years of speculations for new expansions.
Finally we have a map, where on map it is, and congratulations, we will even see how the Broken Isles (or at least some of them) look like.
The quests on mainland leading us to Broken Isles are going to be pretty sick too.
Lets hope Blizzard has plans for some pre-expack release content.

4. Dailies.
New dailies. Lel jk i hate those. Can i haz Beta Key nao?

I'm really looking forward for the new PVP Honor System and the new Deamon hunter class.

As a Pvper at heart, eliminating the gear and making everyone have the same chance of winning, really makes WoW more competitive where skill matters the most, and on top of that, pvping with the new Demon hunter class will be a delight.

Most memorable moments probably were the countless wipes we had to endure, and by sheer willpower, culminate in that sweet feeling when we finally killed the boss. Hope that felling continues this expansion.

Can't wait for demonology warlocks to rely on their pets instead of stance dancing.

The current demonology playstyle is awful, I chose a warlock to use demons as my weapon but nooo Blizzard just had to add a demon form which I need to keep track of and switch in and out of depending on my resources, procs etc etc.

The new playstyle in Legion seems to be awesome with a most of the damage coming from both permanent and temporary pets.

Im really looking forward to having a realatively balanced pvp expansion so it will give all players a good chance.I loved pvp before but the new pvp system looks interesting. I think my favorite past time playing was in MoP when I first started to pvp it was so new and fun for me thats all i did everyday for weeks.

I'm looking forward to the new Demo Warlock. I like the idea to have many demons at the same time. My Best thing in the past is to join a guild and make many of the members to my friends. Some of them are still friends. And i loved the ICC Raid

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
