nefigah 26 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 New war here. I was wondering what the scoop was with the glyph that increases thunderclap damage, resonating power I think. The main icy veins guide does include TC in its AOE rotation, but the glyph section doesn't mention this one. Is it ever worth using?
ragebarr 153 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 Since in AoE rotation you use TC only once every 15 seconds to refresh the Deeps Wounds bleed, the glyph is a DPS inscrease. It's a small one, but it's a gain nonetheless.
zerojayy 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 Hey, 4 months Warrior player here. 2 months ago I switched from Protection to Arms. I started raiding like at the same time of switching specs and now I'm having a hard time not getting kicked out of raid groups because my DPS is too low. I have a 522 pvp weapon, I know that's not helping but I'd also like to know what I'm doing wrong because I do the same rotations of this forum's guide and I still do 80k average if not less. Thanks for your time.

In addition to that, a link to your armory would also prove beneficial. :D
zerojayy 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/bronzebeard/Cythrandir/advanced i537, I usually do flexible raids. How to get the logs? I'm pretty noob about this. My current rotation is spamming mortal strike (3) then mixing up with Heroic Strike, Colossus Smash or Slam. Still unsure on how to use sweeping strikes and Overpower, which I usually spam mindlessly.

You'll get a readout that states something to the effect of "Currently logging combat to CombatLog.txt". Type it again and it'll stop the logging. There are addons that can do this for you automatically but I use a macro. Up to you. As far as your rotation goes I notice one word consistantly pop up and that's "spam". You should be careful not to "spam" abilities unless you're smashing it just prior to the GCD being recovered. :D As with Fury, the Arms rotation relies on a priority of abilities and "spamming" away completely throws that priority out the window and with that out the window... your DPS suffers greatly. The first thing I'd do is get set in your mind that you have a priority of abilities; use one before the other. Colossus Smash. Then Mortal Strike, then Slam (especially if Colossus Smash is applied). Overpower twice to reduce the Mortal Strike GCD but don't spam it. Heroic Strike only.... and I do mean only as a rage dump if you're about to cap rage. You may benefit from a Weak Auras setup for Arms. Unfortunately I do not use WA so I do not have one on hand. I do believe there is a post made, though, on these boards. The WA setup will graphically show you what is available and can be setup in a priority system of abilities to use. Some people find this invaluable but it takes getting used to. Sweeping Strikes is a multi-target buff. You apply it when hitting more than one target. While Sweeping Strikes is applied, Slam also hits all targets for 35% weapon damage which makes it useful then, too. Another note to consider is your weapon. Even with a perfect rotation being executed, your damage output will ultimately be restricted by your weapon. Better weapon = better damage. I think you'll see numbers climb once you grab hold of a Flex weapon. I hope this helps. If you need any further clarification, don't hesitate to ask. :D
