A little confused - gems/enchants for UH.

I've recently switched out Blood for Unholy as an offspec.
For Unholy DK, using Necrotic Plague talent, Icy is showing that we should use Mastery for gems and enchants.  It also refers us to AskMrRobot....which says we should be using Multistrike for gems and enchants.  

Can someone help me out on this?  I'm a little confused on which I should  be using at this point.

Had some chats with Demon on here about this and it appears that Multi is better than mastery.

As for necro blight (the go-to playstyle) Multistrike is better by a slight amount while mastery pulls ahead for AoE/cleave fights. I think icy might be outdated a bit. tends to happen every now and then.

multistrike is the superior stat for unholy period. mastery originally could pull ahead on fights were there were 4-5+ long lived targets. this doesn't happen ever in hfc anymore. with the 10 ilvl boost valor gave everything gets nuked down too quickly for mastery to be effective. the extra ticks from multistrike do more damage and quicker. early hfc (like lfr) hellfire assault might meet the quote of having many long lived adds but beyond that, no where in current content is there a situation where multistrike isn't superior for unholy necroblight/ unholy all together
