DPS issues (Frost)

Ok I posted on another forum a while ago about how I felt my DPS is completely sub par maybe even worse. I was told to try and keep evo up more often than I originally did and still I am not achieving results I feel are adequate. I believe I am geared and gemed correctly and my rotation is correct.

Any ideas?

First thing that jumps out is # of hits vs # of crits for Ice Lance. You have (overall) 766 hits to 755 crits = 49.6% crit. At your gear level you should be at no less than 85% crit on your Ice Lances. What this tells me is you are casting Ice Lance without Fingers of Frost procs up. The reason that is bad is that instead of casting an Ice Lance (without the proc) you could be casting something else with higher priority. So make sure only to cast Ice Lance when you have the Finger's of Frost proc. Hope that helps some and I'll keep looking.

I think that is because I cast that while I move instead of not doing anything but I could be making that mistake as well.

For now I would like to focus on just the data for your Jin'rokh the Breaker kill. Below I have included WoL links to 3 other mages parses which have approximately the same fight length.

I do see that you got targeted by Focused Lightning 4 times and that does affect your uptime some. This is a fight I would recommend Blazing Speed for. As soon as you get targeted by Focused Lightning you can pop Blazing Speed and make for a grate, turn and dps till the orb hits you and then blink back to your group. This will help you keep a high uptime with your normal rotation.

Moving on to cooldown usage: 1 Time warp for 40sec (need to make sure to use your alter time During Time Warp to get the extra 6 seconds). 1 Icy Veins and 1 Alter Time (these are very big cooldowns that need to be used together and virtually on cooldown) - The only reason to delay is if you are waiting to use with a specific buff (Time Warp, Fluidity, etc...) On this fight you should be using them on the first fluidity pool (about 30 seconds into the fight) This will allow you to use them a 2nd time at about the 3:30 mark.

You're doing much better uptime on Invoker's Energy but the other 3 mages had nearly 100% with 4 uses. It seems like a small thing but it could make a difference.

Now on to looking at just the Damage by spell area: All of them are getting off way more frostbolt casts than you, and this affects how many Fingers of Frost procs you get. I think this is where the problem lies. It's probably 1 of 2 things or a combo of both. You either aren't moving efficiently (by blinking or simply moving too much) therefore lowering the amount of time you should be on your primary rotation OR you aren't queueing spells fast enough. You want to make sure to be casting your next spell immediately following the previous. Sometimes a cast bar such as quartz can help you with this.

yes, frostbolt is your filter spell and should alway7s be casted when no procs are up or you are not doing anything, and instead of quarts i use Elvui, exactl;y what icy veins suggests for all specs and classes, it has everything you want

I'm confused by this. I don't understand what you mean.

He has jsut made a suggestion about your UI. But I have to say, I didn't find ElvUi mandatory for nice numbers. Quartz, Mage nuggets, Fortexorcist just serve me fine :3
