my main is a shaman, and i really like elemental, so i will be staying with that during legion. for an npc i would love to see, probably whatever the most powerful friendly elementals from each element, and maybe the draenei orphan who has so much shamanistic potential. I would also like to see armor more fitting for a draenei shaman than what we have been seeing. my current set is from bc

Mage. Without a doubt. Mage has been my favorite class since Wrath. Why? Well... I feel so powerful all the time, and I can teleport to wherever I like and save a lot of my time + I can eat all the conjured cakes I want without getting fat! :)

And my favorite Mage Npc is Kael'thas! I'm a blood elf mage, so I'd love to go on a quest chain with him and throw fire everywhere and summon phoenixes and sh*t!

Hope I win :)

My main class for legion will be balance druid. My balance druid is the first character i ever made in world of warcraft back in late vanilla. My druid has always been my main. I was a bit sceptical about being a balance druid in legion. Before the announcment of legion, i had 2 requierments before i made my mind up. I wanted a revamp of the eclipse bar or it being removed and a new model for boomkins. Both happened so i am super excited to play a balance druid. The way the eclipse bar worked in WoD was just horrible, very stressful and made you stare at the UI instead of the gameplay. I even race changed back to tauren again just for the purpose of legion, its a perfect druid expansion, with the moose mount from archi and val'sharah. I am really looking forward to know what happens to Malfurion, he is an amazing character and has an awesome story in world of warcraft. I would be so happy to try out the balance druid before the launch of legion and do my best to give feedback.

Main class is going to be priest - either holy or disc - it will be interesting to see what changes there are to disc.  I would really like to see Moira Bronzebeard in the hall :) GoGo dwarves!

Right now I'm really considering playing druid.  I was a boomkin during Wrath, and I'm thinking of returning there for Legion.  My favorite druid npc is Hamuul Runetotem.  He has the best parts of tauren agression and calm.  Plus...he's awesome.  Every time I see him in either a book or the game (kicking Rags butt and taking names), he's amazing.

I think I will be main changing to a resto shaman this expansion at least for launch to meet the needs of my guild.  We had some healers that wanted to try out dps, so I am stepping up to heal.

As for my favorite Shaman NPC, I would go with Geyah.  she had an interesting story and is like a mother of the mag'har.

I'm going to main switch from a rogue to a demon hunter for Legion. I'd really like to see Altruis the Sufferer in the class halls for the DH, I really liked the quest line back in the day in Nagrand.

Well I've got two answers for this.  The class I want to main in Legion is a Survival Hunter.  I love melee classes and melee hunter just sound like they would be fun.  My favorite hunter in the game is Rexxar.  He is what makes me want to play a melee hunter.  If hunter doesn't perform like I hope I will go back to my main now and go warrior like i have the 8 years I've played the game.  My favorite warrior in the game is a tough one to answer.  I guess my answer would have to be Cairne Bloodhoof.  I loved his persona in the game and was very upset with the way he died.

I'll be taking a rogue in to Legion, as I picked it up to try to follow the top dps hype and loved it. Outlaw looks to be an interesting spec to roll come Legion.

As for an NPC, I would have to pick Dagg, because he's a ogre subtlety rogue Dagg is unanimous in this.

Hello i'm a peruvian player, i've been playing wow since 2006 in a private server (does anyone here heard of "Xaoswow" back in the day?!) and on official server since late wotlk, i used to be a hardcore player, always completing content, this tier i wasn't able to kill all mythic bosses but on Legion i plan to do so. My main has always been a Warlock, i played it beacause i wanted a pure caster class that wasn't a mage.

I am going to reroll a death knight in Legion.

The main reason is that the play style of Unholy DK in Legion is close to the DK in WC3.

In Legion, Unholy DKs can always bring their armies of dead while fighting enemies, I always want to do that in WOW.

The hero I want to see the most in the class hall is Anub'arak.

This tragic giant spider guy is always my favorite since WC3.

Although in lore-wise I don't think I am going to see him, which makes me sad.

So for the moment I'm taking Demon Hunter into serious consideration as a main, but I'm keeping my Warrior on the back burner. At the end of the day, whichever of the two is going to benefit my raid more for progression is very likely the one I will be maining. Either way they both have pretty cool Order Halls.

There aren't too many notable Demon Hunters in lore that aren't already accounted for in some way. I think the obvious answer to the question would be Illidan, and perhaps if he ends up redeemed in some way he will come back to the hall and sip some Fel with the boys. But given that Demon Hunters can apparently be resurrected in the Twisting Nether like demons, I think it would be pretty cool to see Theras, Netharel, and Alandien as a part of the crew again.

Given I'll likely be playing my Warrior just as often, I'll be spending a good bit of time in Odyn's house. I don't know the exact circumstances that allow a Warrior Spirit up in his great halls, but I would really like to see Broxigar make an appearance up there. There's a Warrior who deserves to be immortalized.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
