Maining warrior in legion, as I have been since I started in BC. Favorite class NPC would probably be Odyn. Read about in the chronicle and seeing him in beta footage made him seem really interesting. Would like to see some old, dead warriors in the hall, grom, varian, broxigar, etc

My main (which has been for a while) will have to be my Warrior. Fury spec is what I'll be pursuing in Legion. The sounds, animations, and the feeling of rushing forward and meeting your foe head-on in battle. That's what keeps me hooked with this class. However, I must say that the embodiment of what a Warrior is would have to be High Overlord Saurfang. He's both a dedicated Warrior, both fearsome in battle and skilled in strategy, but he also has a brain between his shoulders. Not to mention, he's a veteran of the First, Second, and Third Wars.  A Warrior doesn't use just his fists and weapons to fight. Because sometimes, the best alternative doesn't always have to end in bloodshed

I toyed around with warlock and mage in Vanilla, but the priest always was my favorite. Legion hit the jackpot by making holy holier, discipline more intense, and shadow more insane. Shadow priest was great in WoD and Legion is looking even brighter. Apotheosis. I'm stoked to main a priest, and level some alts.  As for a favorite NPC, its got to be the original inspiration. Shadow Priest Sarvis in Deathknell. He's the original shadow priest at lvl 5, leads the brand new forsaken, and he's the first shadow priest I ever saw in game. (honorable mention is Archbishop Bendictus)

I will be maining DK as I have done since WoTLK. I love all the dark themes in WoW, WoTLK was my favourite expac and Legion is looking like it might end up a close second (if they do well). My favourite NPC is none other than the original leader of the scourge, Arthas / The Lich King!

Demo lock has a floating ereder skull, Destro has the staff of sargeras, AND Aff has a badass scythe.  Best Warlock npc is Gul'dan of course. Hes arguably the most powerful mortal to ever exist in the Universe, and while evil, hes badass as hell.

My first (and short lived) character was a female night elf rogue but I quickly changed to a Tauren warrior and have been sticking with it through highs and lows(first as a tank, then as a tank DPS player) ever since then and through every raid and expension released so far. The best of all warriors NPC is, beyond any doubt, Saurfang Senior ;-)

I plan on playing my Mage at the start of Legion and as my main.  I have main'd a Mage since WotlK and I love the class diversity.  Praying fire becomes viable to a point of competition with the other specs.  The class I will be creating as an alt is: dun dun dun, Demon Hunter.  Would really love to try out the new class and see how well put together it is, although my main would remain my Mage. Considering I am Forsaken, and spent most of my younger years in Under City training everything with him.  Nessingwary would be cool to hang out with too, considering he's ALWAYS coming back

My main class in Legion will either be an Arms Warrior or a Protection Paladin. Why so?

1) Arms Warrior: It's just about how I perceive my character - an experienced, somewhat seasoned warrior who prefers well-thought and accurate actions instead of rushing boldly into combat and yelling something like Me good warrior, me crush! And, as for me, a single, but powerful two-handed weapon perfectly complements that concept. Unfortunately, WoD made me respec to Fury (Arms' gameplay and rotation was just too flawed and there were some moments I really disliked about Arms in 6.x), but as soon as Legion will be available, I'll switch back to Arms.

2) Protection Paladin: I actually started to learn tanking with this character, and I really liked how the spec works. And there's a lot of RP / character development potential as well.

Considering the characters I'd like to see in my Class Hall:

1) Warrior Order Hall - can't think of anybody else than King Varian in a spirit form. If Taylor could do it, why can't Varian?

2) Paladin Order Hall - Tirion's spirit. Just don't think he'd rest in peace rather than fight, even without body. At least we won't lose one of the most prominent WoW characters permanently.

I play Undead Warrior and will start as Arms, because my weapon has Old God dark theme and it will be mega nostalgic to go to Tirisfal Glades again.

I'm at a bit of a standstill between Warrior, Demon Hunter, and Druid really... but the more I think about it the more I think Druid will win out in the end.

As for who I'd like to see in my class hall... I'll go with someone that may well be there already... Mathrengyl Bearwalker.  I have very fond memories of the early days of my druid, and he brings them right back.

I've been maining it since WoD (short period of time, I know). I would really love to have the legendary alleria in our order hall. Sadly, I don't think It's possible, but hope dies last right? I wish all the best luck to everyone

Hello WowHead family and fellow WoW fans. For Legion my main class will be a Shaman as it has been for the most part of my time in WoW's raiding scene. As for my favourite class NPC, Thrall!. It must be a popular choice but Thrall grasps the spirit of Shamans as we want it. First off he is an Orc and Shamans were originally only Horde and Thrall as an Orc represents that origin. Ultimately its all about earth's elements though. Also it would seem totally consistant since our Order Hall will be in The Maelstrom!

Hope I get a Beta Key to experience the new, amazing looking content, and share it with my guildies and icy-veins fellas. Best of luck to us all!!

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
