I'll be playing a hunter in legion not sure which spec I'll start out with. I've long wanted to be melee so maybe I'll finally give it a go with survival.  My favorite hunter is Rexxar but got to say overall my favorite NPC is Illidan

I will likely main a Marksman hunter, as my character is a Dwarf Hunter named "Rifleman". it seems the most fitting. Of course I am really tempted to try out Survival with the rework to how it works, but I feel like it just doesn't fit my character's theme. Although I do of course have more than one hunter.  Hunter is, essentially my favorite class, so. Well you can guess what I voted in the poll above   My favorite NPC would probably be Rexxar if I had to choose. And that's really why I'm considering playing my Orc Hunter instead in Legion. Rexxar makes the melee- Hunter archtype so much more appealing, and if there's one aspect of the Hunter class I'm not that into it's the typical Elf-and-bow thing.  Elf-n-Bow has been the hunter/ranger theme in so many games for so many years now that I just want. A new flavor to a tried-and-tested class, so, I'll almost definitely give survival hunter a go, if only to pretend to be Rexxar for a few minutes

I’m looking forward to be returning to my warlock with it’s green-fiery goodness. And speaking of the green fire I would love to see the leader of the black harvest (Kanrethad Ebonlocke) somehow or anyone else from the black harvest in my order hall, manipulating me from the shadows. I loved the lore-aspects of the green fire quest chain and how it touched upon ethical aspects of the warlock-identity

Death knight for sure I have a dk on at least 6 servers there is no class better I would like to see unholy get a cool range ape attack like frost's howling blast! That would be amazing I dislike duel wield so unholy will be the path I take on the adventure we are about to embark on in legion and the npc I would like in my hall would need to be the Lich king these is none better to serve! All hail the Frozen King!

I'll main a tank because I love to be the guy who takes all the hits in my group. My specific specialization will probably be a Guardian Druid as alliance because their legion changes look promising, and the bears just look amazingly badass. If guardian druids fail, or get heavly nerfed, I'll just keep on maining my protection warrior since WoD.My favorite NPC must be Illidan Stormrage or N'zoth. I've loved Illidan since I played Warcraft 3 for the first time about 10 years ago. N'zoth's lore sounds amazing and I love the Lovecraft Cthulhu crossover. Can't wait until I get to see both of them in WoW

I've been playing a Death Knight since WotLK, and even then almost always as Frost. I frost tanked when I could, and then when I couldn't I would blood tank when the raid needed an off-tank.

Who would I want to see in the order hall? The New Lich King! High Lord Bolvar Fordragon! It would be awesome to see him thawed and walking around, as well as seeing how the other NPC death knights react to that. There's a lot of storytelling potential there, and I'd love to see Blizzard seize that opportunity.

I will be going with the Priest as my class for this expansion given the interesting changes to shadow and discipline.  As for my favorite NPC that would be Anduin as he represents the priest role well when he is outspoken for his beliefs and doing what is right.

My main currently is a warrior and I will most certainly main a warrior in Legion. I've always enjoyed being melee, seeing the big numbers right infront of me. I love the updated visuals of some warrior spells. I'd be very glad if I got a beta key so I could try out warriors to see what they're going to be like and also other classes. Good luck to everyone and hope you have a good day

I will play my Death Knight in Blood specialization, because I want to kill everybody around me and DRINK THEIR BLOOD TO BE STRONGER. I WILL KILL DEMONS AND TAKE THEIR POWER TO DESTROY DRAENOR, haha. I want to see The Black Knight from Trial of the Champion.

When legion hits I will deffinitly play retribution paladin. It's been my main since vanilla and I have never changed class since then. My favoriete NPC is Uther. I feel like even though he isn't alive anymore he should make some kind of comeback as a ghost or a spririt or something.

My main class in Legion is going to be Restoration Druid, I would love to be a feral once more, but due to Bloodtalons talent I can't accept that spec as my main. Otherwise my guild needs healer so I need to help them in next content.I would love to see Majordomo Staghelm in my order hall (I dont even know does he is still alive, but we slained Illidian, and he returned, probably Blizzard could do same thing with Majordomo and bring him back also as a friendly NPC).Majordomo was the head of Druids of th Flame, He also dropped my favourite weapon Fandral's Flamescythe, I had it back in a days. (Now I have seed which transforms me into fire kitty <3.)In Legion there is a lot new kitty models, but fire kitty model is just unique, It brings me back old days, my progress in Firelands, my Heroic Staff and that guys - Majordomo (master of shapeshifring). Legion is going to be a hard time for Azeroth, why dont we bring back Domo and his Druids ? I feel kinda sad because that's my first post, but I guess you will understand my bad English, Good luck to all other participants.   Let's show Blizzard that we are seems to be Prepared .

I'm really excited for the nex gameplay even if it isn't big changes. The two minutes CD tranqui and the new healing void seems cool. I'd like to see Malfurion in my order hall

Frost Death Knight it is. Why? Because I love the lore, and having twin blades forget out of the Frostmourne .. it's a dream!!

I'll be maining a mage in Legion as always and I am really happy with the current state of them. Fire is amazing, Arcane feels a lot more stable and manageable with the current changes to mastery, Frost I haven't really looked into sadly. Who i'd like to see in my class hall? Well mages have already seen Alodi in the opening artifact intro. Why? Because she is one of the only people to have ever fought Sargeras (it may have been his avatar but still) so I feel like her insight would be really beneficial and really cool to have her there

My main class in Legion will definitely be elemental shaman! Can't wait to be a lava burst turret of fiery destruction.

As for a famous NPC in my class hall.. I'd love to see an appearance from Ner'zhul. Maybe he could use his spooky ghost lich powers to aid us against the legion.

I've been playing him since day one of my WoW adventures, and I don't plan to stop now. I'm very wary of the class changes (losing so many iconic things from each spec), but I'm eager to give them a shot. My mage is my second choice, and I'll probably be playing at least those two in tandem through the opening months.  I don't know that I have a favourite rogue npc. I hope Jaina and some dragons are around in the mage order hall though. I haven't spoiled any of the mage stuff for myself yet, but I really hope the entire Kirin Tor elite is around

My BM Hunter is the most equipped and the only one I have raided on, so that will certainly be my main when the expansion drops. As far as NPCs go, Rexxar is the penultimate Beast Master. Although being a Troll, I gotta give a nod to Ol' Vol'jin, the Shadow Hunter. That said, I have several more levelled classes I greatly enjoy playing (all DPS) who might well wind up being new favorites depending on how the changes play out. And so many COOL artifact weapons.

I will keep playing my Shaman in Legion, it's amazing what they've done to the class. The resto spec sounds quite as strong and pleasant as it is right now with new awesome totems on the way and the revamped enhancement spec looks astonishing really . I'd like to see Thrall as a permanent resident of the Shaman class hall, I'm glad we'll be able to use Doomhamer though

Voted shaman, as my main is a shaman pretty much since I joined the game ('08). Even when the class design is not the best, I just can't abandon it.  My favorite class npc is actually not a shaman one, but if I had to pick one shaman, I'd say Drek'thar. Saying this as someone who plays on Aliiance side

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
