My main class during Legion is going to be a Demon Hunter as I have always wanted a class like this in the game. I'm looking forward to meet all the demon hunters in the class domain, but especially Mother Malevolence, the captain of the Shivarras

Since I always played casters I'm gonna main a melee in Legion. Probably Warrior, mostly because I love their class hall with Odyn as a ruler.

Like the past ten years, my main will still be my hunter... though I'll definitely be creating a demon hunter & playing my rogue and druid more often. I'm not sure about beast mastery yet, but I'm excited for the changes to survival and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

As for a favorite Hunter NPC... Is Rexxar too unoriginal? :D

Hi there, and thanks a lot for this contest . Though I'm still hesitating, I'll most likely main my Priest in Legion. But WWarlock is still on my tables too ^^ Since my spec is so tied to the Old Gods (because why play priest if you're not Shadow ), I'd love to really feel their influence, seeing some people like Benedictus (or his spirit, at least) or a communication pool or something like that, to embrace our link to Yogg-Saron.

My favourite class to play currently is Hunter followed closely by Death Knight although I'm probably going to stick with my Hunter for Legion and try out a Demon Hunter too. As for my favourite Hunter NPC, I'm probably going to have to go with Vereesa Windrunner. She's gone through a lot, especially her sister becoming the Banshee Queen, but still strives forward. Good luck everyone.

I've gone with my rogue good times and bad, and I think this expansion will be more bad than good.  There's going to be a crowd in the agi leather melee pile, and I'm betting that DH's will be OP for all the FOTM chasers.   But there's something honest about a rogue.  Really only one spec with some minor variation.  Stand behind the boss, push buttons, watch his health bar go down.  Mitigate yourself so the healers don't have to do much.   Its like vanilla icecream.  Basic ingredients, but delicious when done well.

What do we say when we are offered a chance to win Legion Beta keys? Not t.To all of our readers: the moment you have been waiting for is here. The second part of our special Legion Beta key giveaway is here. We have 100 keys up for grabs and all you have to do is. Our first Legion Beta key giveaway coincided with Icy Veins' 5th birthday. Your response then was amazing and it was great to see what people are looking forward to for the sixth expansion of World of Warcraft - the game that inspired the creation of this site. Our 5th anniversary may be behind, but we want to turn this giveaway into an Icy Veins celebration as well. As you may or may not have noticed, our site is on a transitional period. We have already changed our main page and our logo

I'll be maining a death knight in Legion. I've had a lot of fun with DK's in WoD and it looks like Frost is getting a lot of quality of life improvements.

I fell in love with shadow priests, recently. I just think its the coolest thing to harness the powers of the old gods and mess with people's minds. That being said, I'll definitely be still be maining a shadow priest in Legion. The new abilities look really fun, and I'm excited to see how the whole void form thing will work out. As for my favorite NPC, I would really enjoy seeing Reshad (or any major Arakkoa character) being in the class hall because I really like the Arakkoa lore, and they are a form of shadow priest

I will be playing my Frost Deathknight for legion. I have played as a Blood DK for WoD and it just didn't really suit me and I kept being drawn to the Frost spec. I have been gearing as much as I can and focusing mainly on Frost DPS for the 2 - 1 handed weapons, and it extremely makes me happier to know the frost artifact weapons will be dual wielding. I really want to see Darion Mograine as the head honcho in the class because he has been the one to help us Deathknights through all the lore we have been through from the start to the end of WotLK and I really want to see him come back

I'll play a Death Knight, it was one of the first classes that I really enjoyed playing. My favorite death knight npc would be the Lich King because he's just an awesome villain, even more if you read Rishe of the Lich King

Torn still, but I thin I'll stick with my warrior. Warrior is just a really fun class and my kind of play style. Favorite NPC I'd say is Sylvannas or Varian

During this coming expansion my main will most definitely be a destro warlock. It has been my main ever since vanilla because I love the mechanics of the character as well as the dark lore that's from it as well. I've always been a caster type and every other game that I play that has classes, I'm always a warlock or necromancer. For the second question my favorite class npc would have to be Gul'dan because he kind of is the start of all of it. He's played such a huge roll in a lot of the lore and it's why he's been the biggest use of the game for quite some time!

i have always enjoyed the 'at a distance' style gameplay so since WoW beta i have played hunter, when cata game out i finally switched to elemental shaman and then in WoD i swapped to enhance.  so for legion i will for sure be a shaman, have not decided which spec but i am leaning towards enhancement, but i do enjoy elemental very well. but seeing velen in some shape/form would be a nice touch as well

Been playing a mage since 2007.  Really would like to see Millhouse Manastorm running around the mage class halls. Millhouse has been a favorite since freeing him in Burning Crusade.

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
