I will be a MM hunter, and hopefully if tri spec is an actual thing, surv/BM off spec.  I would be stoked if any of these 3 hunters were in the order hall: Rexxar, Sylvanas, or Hemet Nesingwary.

I plan to try out the new Demon Hunter class in legion and play the vengeance spec, since I enjoy to main a tank class / spec. I enjoy what I see for the class so far, so I am confident that I will enjoy the way the spec plays out. NPC wise, I've always enjoyed the Demon Huntress, Alandien from Shadowmoon Valley ( BC ). It'd be neat to see if she somehow turns up in the new expansion either in reference, or otherwise.

Almost certainly going back to being a healadin.Started maining one proper toward the end of TBC up until just after they added the abomination that was holy power (because yeah.when I selected paladin, what i really meant was a rogue, right?).now that that has been gotten rid of (and also, the class being back to a frontline healer in the thick of it) I can go back to it

The changes to the Paladin class have me a little nervous, to be sure, but change and the Light are the only constants!
Besides, I love my main man Darillon and I can't wait to see what sort of crusade he'll go on next. Blizzard doubling down on story content has me very jazzed, and the aesthetics of Legion look great. We're going to kick these demons' sorry butts back to the nether, and also they will have to pay our rent.

What do we say when we are offered a chance to win Legion Beta keys? Not t... Yes, please!

20739-icy-veins-giveaway-part-2-win-100-

To all of our readers: the moment you have been waiting for is here! The second part of our special Legion Beta key giveaway is here. We have 100 keys up for grabs and all you have to do is... read on and find out!

Our first Legion Beta key giveaway coincided with Icy Veins' 5th birthday. Your response then was amazing and it was great to see what people are looking forward to for the sixth expansion of World of Warcraft - the game that inspired the creation of this site.

Our 5th anniversary may be behind, but we want to turn this giveaway into an Icy Veins celebration as well. As you may or may not have noticed, our site is on a transitional period. We have already changed our main page and our logo; we launched a Discord server; we have recruited a community manager, Blainie, and we have some amazing guide and news writers. Soon, our forums will receive a major makeover too!

We said in the previous giveaway that community is important to us. The present giveaway might have been the reason that led you to our site, but we would be delighted if you stayed a little longer! Apart from the various changes that will come soon, we would definitely like to create a vibrant Icy Veins family - both in the forums and in(game) the various Blizzard titles our site covers. Your comments, feedback, analyses and opinions matter! In return and with your help, we can keep creating content that will make you stick around more.

Represent your class and win a Legion Beta key!

You might have noticed a poll in the beginning of this article and as you've already guessed, it's tied to our question for this second giveaway. Last time, we asked you to expand on your opinions and expectations on Legion. For the present 100 Legion Beta Keys, we require something more specific.

Legion is all about class identity. Your main hub for this expansion will be your Class Order Hall, where you will be the leader of your class order into the fight against the Burning Legion. Even specialisations within the same class will be quite distinctive from one another and most specs are receiving major changes.

We have two questions for you or - if you'd like - a two-part question. We would like to know which class will be your main one in Legion or, if you are new to the game, which class you are planning on creating first. Moreover, we would like to know which is your favourite class NPC. Various famous NPCs are already present in the respective Order Hall, but which one would you like to see in your class' headquarters?

It's not just a poll...

When we announce the winners of this giveaway, we will provide you with a graph of the results of this poll. Think about it as a small-scale census: won't it be interesting to know which will be the most popular (or the opposite) classes in Legion? We will only take into consideration the votes in the poll, so we urge you to vote in it. You will also have to leave a comment in this topic to be included in the giveaway.

We will also take up the daunting task of reading through your replies in the search of which class NPC is the true star among the fanbase's hearts. We will try to make a second graph or announce the results of the class NPC popularity contest as well.

We don't expect the results to reflect reality 100% and we are just doing this for the fun of it. However, you should still tell every WoW player you know to take part in our poll and giveaway, since a bigger sample will mean more accurate results. And don't worry: our winners are chosen randomly and not depending on which class comes first.

Rules

Make sure to read the following rules, before you participate:

  • While voting in the poll is encouraged to help us with our data gathering, it is not necessary. You must however provide a relevant reply in this topic, detailing your class pick and your favourite class NPC.
  • The giveaway will end on Tuesday 17th of May at 23:59 GMT.
  • Only one comment will be counted per person.
  • The winner will be drawn randomly from all the comments that are deemed "acceptable".
  • It is at our discretion which comments will be deemed acceptable, based on the extent to which they stay relevant to this article.
  • We will not release the dates on which the keys will be released, as Blizzard have requested us not to do so.
  • The comments section will be checked via a bot used in previous giveaways, so multiple comments will be found.
  • We have tools to detect cheating, so please don't bother.
  • We reserve the right to stop anyone competing if we believe they are cheating.
  • We understand class rivalry can get a little intense. Please keep it civil in this topic; anyone who starts flaming or trolling will not be considered as a participant.

Good luck to everyone and let's see some class pride!

Im Going to play Protection Paladin.

I really want to wield the power of the Ashbringer at Ret tho.

Id love to see the NPC Tirion in my Class Hall i just love the man.

Goodluck to everyone!

I'll be playing my paladin, same character since Vanilla. Protection, same spec since Vanilla :D

Uther's spirit would be perfect in our class order hall biggrin.png . I don't find newer paladins NPC very attractive.

For the Light !

For Stormwind !

I’m looking forward to be returning to my warlock with it’s green-fiery goodness. And speaking of the green fire I would love to see the leader of the black harvest (Kanrethad Ebonlocke) somehow or anyone else from the black harvest in my order hall, manipulating me from the shadows. I loved the lore-aspects of the green fire quest chain and how it touched upon ethical aspects of the warlock-identity.

I'll be maining a mage in Legion as always and I am really happy with the current state of them. Fire is amazing, Arcane feels a lot more stable and manageable with the current changes to mastery, Frost I haven't really looked into sadly. Who i'd like to see in my class hall? Well mages have already seen Alodi in the opening artifact intro. So I'd really like to see Aegwynn in our class hall. Why? Because she is one of the only people to have ever fought Sargeras (it may have been his avatar but still) so I feel like her insight would be really beneficial and really cool to have her there

Voted shaman, as my main is a shaman pretty much since I joined the game ('08). Even when the class design is not the best, I just can't abandon it.

My favorite class npc is actually not a shaman one, but if I had to pick one shaman, I'd say Drek'thar. Saying this as someone who plays on Aliiance side.

My main in Legion will be my mage of course! She was my first toon and even though I have several other level capped toons, I keep going back to her because she is so fun to play. My favorite NPC would be Khadgar. I'm sure my mage could learn a thing or two from him!!

I'll most likely keep maining a Warlock, been my main since I started playing. Though I may ditch destruction and go for demo..gameplay looks a bit more fun than destro so far.

As for the NPC, I'd love to see Gul'dan caged up somewhere for all the locks to see (of course with no way of him escaping, unless we want more bad destruction).  Wishful thinking though, I'm sure!

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.

Week 2 brings quite a few changes, as Hunters in particular rise up, while Shadow has a really bad time. The top 3 remains the same and very consistent, so let's jump in and see what's going on.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
The top 3 remains quite stable with the Evoker-Paladin-Warrior trio reigning supreme. We see the first change of the week right after that though, as Frost DK continues its upward march in dungeons as well as in raids, taking 4th from Elemental. Both DKs are on the rise, as Unholy also moves a spot up, taking advantage of Shadow's precipitous 5-spot fall to the bottom of the top 10. Arms remains stable as two Hunters burst in, Beast Mastery taking 8th and Marksmanship 9th, as Frost Mage disappears down towards the bottom. Speaking of the bottom, Devastation gets some new roommates there, as Outlaw and Destruction fall and give Enhancement and Feral a break.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
As with the top percentiles, the top 3 remains solid, but 4th is immediately changed, thanks to Shadow's massive drop in performance this week. The Priest loses even more ground here, falling 9 spots into 13th, opening 4th up for Arms. Beast Mastery moves even higher here, grabbing 5th and moving in front of Elemental and Frost DK, as Marksmanship brings up the rear and completes the Hunter sandwich in 8th. Affliction breaks into the top 10, just ahead of Unholy which dropped to the final spot.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Raw DPS U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Frost DK finds itself on top in the raw DPS rankings, as Augmentation isn't calculated properly here. Fury and Arms grab the next two spots, moving ahead of Ret, and the Fyr'alath wins continue in 5th, where Unholy finished the legendary axe streak. Even Survival joins the Hunter good times in 8th, where all three specs gather, just ahead of Balance who closes out the top 10.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides (updated for the pre-patch), as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

MoP Remix characters that will transfer over to retail will receive a gear boost!
With Patch 11.0.2 now live on Public Test Realms, you can copy over MoP Remix characters from retail! It appears all MoP Remix characters will receive a character boost so you can dive straight into action when the War Within expansion launches.

We can't unfortunately log in to the game with the MoP Remix char on the PTR so we can't confirm the Item Level of gear for max level characters. However, keep in mind that the gear boost will scale with your level, so if you're below max cap, you will receive gear appropriate to your current level.
When Can We Expect MoP Remix Characters to Transfer to Retail?
MoP Remix ends on August 19, so we assume the characters will need to be transferred to retail by August 22 when Early Access begins.
